: Crying works, but trainers don't!

"Use magic leaves to block my vision, then use a collision attack to dodge!"

Bonds? This isn't a privilege exclusive to you!

Mingyi smiled and then achieved flow with Qing Teng She. Their tacit understanding had reached the point where they could do whatever they wanted. Qing Teng She could clearly sense all the thoughts in Mingyi's commands and carry them out.

Well then, it's time to show some real skills!

"It's moldy!"

Wildly dancing leaves gathered from behind the Green Vine Serpent, then transformed into a tornado that enveloped her, making her difficult to detect. The tornado, composed of magical leaves, then rushed towards the Aluminum Steel Dragon's tail!

"Luho!"

Clang!

The dragon's tail broke through the Magic Leaf and shattered the ground. With a single lash, it cut the Magic Leaf Tornado in half. The fragile leaf was no match for the Duraludon's attack!

But did he hit the Green Vine Snake?

No.

A green figure used the "impact" property to dodge the aluminum steel dragon's tail from the side and landed steadily to her side.

"Growth occurs after tight binding!"

"Use wide-area destruction to break free!"

Unfortunately, Xia Ming, unable to work in unison with Aluminum Steel Dragon, was ultimately too slow.

When he gave the order, the Green Vine Serpent opposite him had already begun its attack the moment Mingyi spoke.

Several vines shot out from behind her, binding the aluminum steel dragon's limbs like tentacles, preventing it from moving. Then, it used its Growth Enhancement Double Attack on the spot.

"chatter!"

Wide-area destruction!

With a flick of its tail, the aluminum steel dragon severed the roots of the vine whip, and then used its limbs to break free of the vine whip that bound it.

But it's already over. The Green Vine Serpent and Mingyi have achieved their goal: a second enhancement!

The next one is the third!

"Throwings, whips, growth!"

The commands grew shorter and shorter, yet the instructions were so clearly conveyed to the heart of the Green Vine Serpent.

Xia Ming couldn't even decipher how to unleash those three skills from Ming Yi's words. For a moment, he was completely bewildered and didn't know how to give the commands to counterattack. He could only hastily issue the commands:

"After the metal claws tore through the vine whip, the dragon's tail retaliated!"

"Ru~!"

The sharp metal claws tore through the vine whip of the green vine snake, but her slamming and striking vanished without a trace.

That's right, she once again used slamming to create distance between herself and the aluminum steel dragon, and used growth enhancement to boost her double attack while standing still.

Third enhancement!

Unable to grasp Mingyi's intentions, Xia Ming was completely outmaneuvered, and his breathing became somewhat disordered as the Green Vine Snake intensified.

The oppressive feeling of being completely seen through, and unable to even comprehend the other party's intentions, pierced Xia Ming's heart, leaving him feeling suffocated and bewildered.

Is my bond with Pokémon still no match for yours? It seems your bond is stronger than ours.

"Draft, slam!"

"Claw sharpening"

Xia Ming wanted to take advantage of the distance to use his sharpening claws to enhance his abilities. The three-time enhanced Green Vine Serpent was not enough to pose a fatal threat to the Duraludon, not to mention that she was still under the negative effect of greatly reducing her defense.

But it's too slow, still too slow.

Mingyi read Xiaming's instructions first once again, and the already swift Green Vine Serpent even saved time on giving commands.

Under such rapid command, the Aluminum Steel Dragon was sent flying by a powerful whip before it could even finish sharpening its claws.

"Growth!"

Instead of pressing their advantage, Mingyi, knowing full well that a single bite from the Aluminum Steel Dragon's tail whip would cripple the Green Vine Serpent, chose a more cautious approach.

Strengthen, and then read Xia Ming's actions again before using the optimal solution to counterattack without taking damage!

It's been enhanced for the fourth time!

With its Attack and Attack stats boosted by four levels, Serperior can now deal considerable damage even to Grass-type moves that are resisted four times over. Not to mention, it also possesses the powerful "Slam," which is only resisted twice by Normal-type Duraludon!

"Magic Leaf, Slam!"

"The aluminum-steel dragon, its tail unleashed with all its might!"

Xia Ming can only hope that his bond with the Aluminum Steel Dragon will allow this dragon tail attack to successfully hit the Green Vine Serpent, forcing her and Fried Pig to take turns resetting their enhancements.

This way, he can further enhance his ability to push two opponents at once using the aluminum-steel dragon!

but……

Boom!

The dragon's tail once again severed the magic leaf in half and slammed it to the ground.

Didn't win!

"Add mold~"

Bye now.

The outcome is decided!

Slam!

The vine whip stretched out and wrapped around the aluminum steel dragon's hands, and the green vine snake used the force to throw the aluminum steel dragon's body to the ground.

Boom!

"The final blow, a powerful, all-out slam!"

No miracle occurred. Xia Ming couldn't even give orders anymore. The speed enhancement from the two drafts made the Green Vine Serpent as fast as "lightning." The vine whip that was already wrapped around the Aluminum Steel Dragon once again used the force to slam her to the other side. The two symmetrical craters were so conspicuous!

"Lulu~"

The circular eyes circled around the eyes of the aluminum-steel dragon.

On the sidelines, the referee announced the result:

"Duraludon is unable to battle. Please switch to your next Pokémon, Xia Ming."

“…………”

"Go, Youngkiras, use Stomp."

With his arms hanging limply, Xia Ming knew that Young Kiras would also be defeated in one move.

Sure enough, the young Gilas, who had just entered the arena, couldn't even last three seconds before being lashed out by a vine whip from the Green Vine Serpent, leaving him with a ring-shaped eye.

"Xia Ming's Pokémon are all unable to battle. The winner of this competition is Mingyi!"

The referee announced the result of the match.

Xia Ming, meanwhile, used a Poké Ball to catch the two Pokémon and headed somewhat dejectedly to the Pokémon Center for treatment.

………………

"Yukichi?"

"Lulu~"

The Electric City Pokémon Center is located on the edge of the city, near the battlegrounds.

Half an hour had passed when Young Gilas and Aluminum Steel Dragon slowly woke up.

Emerging from Nurse Joy's treatment room, the two Pokémon, knowing they had lost, saw Xia Ming sitting in the distance, looking somewhat dejected.

The taste of failure is not pleasant, and even Xia Ming, who was well prepared, needed time to adjust himself.

"Yukichi..."

I'm sorry, Xia Ming, I...I...

"Yukichi~ Yukichi~"

Walking up to Xia Ming, Young Gilas started crying with guilt as he spoke. He was still too weak. If he had been able to defeat Fried Pig directly back then, would he have won?

"Ru~ Ruhoo!"

What's the use of crying?

Compared to the somewhat guilty Young Gilas, the Duraludon, having already done its best, sat down with its arms crossed, sulking, and then pointed at the crying Young Gilas.

What's the use of crying when you've already lost?

She never believed in tears; they couldn't help her survive in the cruel wilderness!

"Sorry, Eurydice and Duraludon, I was just too bad. This match wasn't your fault."

Seeing the two Pokémon, Xia Ming quickly rallied his spirits to comfort them, taking the blame for the loss upon himself.

Crying is useful, but the trainer is useless!

He's just a farmer, so it's understandable that he can't beat Mingyi, but he can't let these negative emotions affect his Pokémon. That's the trainer's duty and the responsibility of the "patriarch".
