Chapter 29

The Journey to the Western Summit

Chapter 29 The Journey to the Western Summit

Suzuki has left the transportation company.

He is currently on his way to the summit of the Western Paradise.

The fat boss left with a smile after Suzuki had asked him many questions.

It has to be said that, apart from knowing a lot, this fat boss is a complete waste and scumbag.

The transportation company was inherited, and everything was managed by others; he only cared about counting the money.

Being a good-for-nothing is bad enough, but he also likes to do things that scumbags like to do.

In fact, after learning that the fat boss had admitted to being involved in human trafficking, Suzuki killed him instantly with a single blow. He felt no pain and even thought Suzuki was going to let him go, leaving with a look of ecstatic joy on his face.

Suzuki felt no remorse for this; he simply found such people boring and an eyesore.

He did say at the beginning that he rarely killed animals, but that was just something he said to the owner of the transportation company.

After all, Suzuki spent a whole week specifically selecting the candidates.

Before this, he had heard some bad rumors about the fat boss. Choosing this kind of person was convenient, quick, and worry-free.

On the vast sea, Suzuki bought another small boat.

This is the second day of Suzuki's voyage at sea.

Unlike the Grand Line, the seas there are complex, and Suzuki cannot sail alone.

However, in the Western Sea, Suzuki's own navigation skills were sufficient for navigating the open ocean.

After all, the ship wasn't very big, only slightly larger than the one he used to hunt pirates all over Alabasta.

There were no sudden storms or heavy snowfalls, nor was there any difficulty in obtaining accurate directions due to inexplicable magnetic interference.

Suzuki's voyage was very pleasant.

With the Swallow-Swallow Fruit, he doesn't need to worry about a lack of resources.

He bought hundreds of large boxes, which were filled with all sorts of items, including food, metal blocks, fresh water, and other necessities.

Therefore, Suzuki has no shortage of food and drink.

As for training, he spends most of his time practicing his ability to swallow the fruit.

Every day, I would spend some time entering the interior space of the Swallow Fruit, where I manufactured all sorts of strange items in that all-powerful factory.

He successfully manufactured many items such as swords, daggers, firearms, and rocket launchers using the all-purpose factory.

These weapons and ammunition are stored in the space of the Swallow Fruit, which makes them very convenient for Suzuki to use.

He can spit it out directly, or he can combine a part of his body with that weapon.

Just like now~

"Bang, bang, bang, bang"

With a calm expression, Suzuki frantically fired the fire from the muskets that his hands had conjured.

"Ah, help..."

"Run! Jump into the sea!"

"Ah, my hand, my hand is broken..."

"Captain! Ah, the captain is dead!"

"Aaaaaah..."

Hearing the pirates' screams, Suzuki remained unmoved and continued firing the firearms that his hands had transformed into.

This was a small, insignificant pirate crew from the West Blue. They approached Suzuki's small boat on their own initiative.

Seeing that Suzuki was alone and his boat was in poor condition, these small fry probably assumed he was just an ordinary fisherman and decided to rob him.

Dozens of pirates, wielding swords and displaying eager, bloodthirsty expressions, stood on the deck and sped toward Suzuki's small boat.

Suzuki wasn't surprised at all.

Few of these pirates are smart, and besides, they're obviously just a bunch of weaklings. Sending them on their way isn't a bad idea.

Suzuki fought with ease against this pirate crew, which was so small fry that even his collection of bounty lists for West Blue pirates worth millions of dollars couldn't find their names.

He simply merged with the musket inside the Gluttony Fruit, his hands transformed into the shape of muskets, and he swept a circle of bullets at the pirates from afar, instantly killing more than half of the small fry pirates.

"Ah, I'll vote..."

Suzuki calmly dealt with the last pirate, who seemed to want to surrender.

Unfortunately, Suzuki wasn't against surrendering; he just didn't want to waste time on boring things.

From the initial encounter to the complete resolution, the entire process took less than a minute!

The actual combat lasted less than twenty seconds!

The small pirate crew we encountered in the West Blue was probably no weaker than the Blood Hammer Pirates; they had at least a few dozen members.

But Suzuki is no longer the Suzuki who first arrived in Alabasta. Now, dealing with pirates of this caliber is as easy as eating and drinking for him.

Suzuki found the pirate crew's information directly on the deck, but he had no interest in their bounties.

The bounty on this pirate crew is too low; it's not worth him wasting his time making a special trip to the naval base.

So, after swallowing some metal blocks from the armory, Suzuki set the ship on fire.

Back on his small wooden boat, Suzuki continued to ponder the ability of the Swallow-Swallow Fruit to combine with the objects it swallows.

This ability is actually quite good. If it combines with various weapons, it feels like Baby-5's Weapon-Weapon Fruit from the Donquixote Family.

However, Suzuki can't manufacture many weapons right now; they're mostly basic swords, guns, and cannons.

If we find an opportunity in the future to find more scarce mineral resources, we might be able to manufacture weapons of mass destruction.

This ability to combine with the objects it consumes goes far beyond simply transforming into weapons.

He can also merge with steel, and then his body will be protected by a layer of iron armor.

He can also merge with those papers. After merging, his body becomes very flat and light, and he will be blown about involuntarily by the wind.

He can even merge with living creatures; seagulls occasionally perch on the stern or bow of his small wooden boat.

He tried to catch one, then swallowed it to use the fusion ability…

As a result, he gained an extra pair of wings, but he couldn't fly. Above his head was the long neck of a seagull, which was frightened and lowered its head to frantically peck at him.

Suzuki had no choice but to deactivate his ability.

He felt that such acts of merging with living beings should be stopped in the future.

In any case, it's a combination, not a devouring.

Merging with a weak living creature might actually reduce one's own strength.

Even if he merges with a powerful living being, he might not be able to seize control from those stronger than him.

After that, Suzuki continued sailing while training his Gluttony Fruit abilities.

He was still at least one or two months away from the summit of the Western Paradise, and the vastness of the four seas was indeed well-deserved.

On the fifth day of the voyage, Suzuki encountered another group of clueless pirates. This time, he chose to fight with his blade and easily ended the battle in a minute and a half.

On the twelfth day of his voyage, Suzuki encountered his first powerful pirate after arriving in the West Blue...
