Chapter 100

Mission: Capture the Evil Santa Claus

Chapter 100 Mission: Capture the Evil Santa Claus (Seeking Monthly Tickets)

By the time Li Wei got home, it was completely dark, and the snow was so heavy that he couldn't see the road ahead.

The colorful Christmas decorations in Dyker Heights made the entire neighborhood the talk of the town in Brooklyn. On the way back, Levi frequently saw groups of tourists taking photos in front of someone's house.

For the residents of Dykeshill, simply having Don Quixote's company take over the contract is far from enough. They also spontaneously express their own understanding of Christmas on their lawns and in their yards.

After parking the Cadillac in the garage, as soon as Li Wei entered, Lily, wearing red and green pajamas, came skipping over, dragging a Barbie doll in one hand and holding a box in the other.

"Dad bought me these Christmas pajamas!" She twirled around in front of Li Wei, showing off. "Aren't they beautiful!"

'

"Of course it's beautiful!" Li Wei scooped her up in his arms. "Where's Uncle Don Quixote?"

"Dad's making pasta in the kitchen," Lily said, handing the bag she was carrying to Levi. "Here are your pajamas."

"There's one for me too?" Li Wei opened it and saw a pair of pajamas that matched Lily's. "Is this some kind of Christmas event?"

"That's right!" Lily exclaimed. "Our whole family has one, and we're going to take a group photo tonight."

Li Wei carried Lily through the door and saw Don Quixote, who had also changed into a set of ugly, brightly colored pajamas, bustling around in the kitchen.

He seemed to be in a great mood, and Li Wei wondered if it was just his imagination; even the wrinkles on his face seemed to have lessened.

Unlike Thanksgiving turkey, Christmas Eve dishes are more flexible.

Stewed beef, layered pancakes, seafood risotto (a dish Lily specifically ordered), basically you can eat whatever you want, there are no fixed requirements.

Before the meal officially began, Don Quixote unusually offered a pre-meal prayer.

"As we gather here, we give thanks for the love in this house and the carefully prepared food. We think of those who cannot be together tonight, and we thank those who grew and cooked this food. Let us cherish this moment of peace and togetherness. Amen."

After saying that, Li Wei and Lily both repeated "Amen".

After Christmas dinner, Lily watched less than two hours of "Home Alone" before yawning incessantly and being led to bed by Don Quixote.

"Daddy," she said, rubbing her eyes, "I don't want to sleep. I want to wait for Santa Claus."

"Sweetie, Santa Claus will come tonight," Don Quixote said, "but only after you've fallen asleep."

.

"Will he be hungry when he gets here?" Lily thought for a moment, "After all, he's still working so late."

As she spoke, she became more and more excited. Finally, she took Don Quixote's hand and placed a plate of cookies (her favorite brand) and a glass of milk by the fireplace for the upcoming Santa Claus. However, she was still a little worried. What if the reindeer couldn't find her door?

Finally, she sprinkled some oatmeal mixed with glitter and reindeer food at the door before going back to sleep, satisfied.

Quietly closing the door, Don Quixote ran like a thief to the garage and returned carrying a large gift box.

"A bicycle?" Levi watched Don Quixote awkwardly tear off the tags and tie a bow on the gift box. "Lily has always wanted a bicycle."

"Is that so?" said Don Quixote. "I heard her mention it once before."

As he spoke, he turned to look at Li Wei, "Why don't you hang a sock in the room and then go back to sleep?"

Li Wei pointed to himself in surprise: "Is there something else going on? I got a Christmas present too?"

"Of course," Don Quixote nodded, "I've already prepared a super-sized box of 1000 condoms for you to use when you go to college next year."

Li Wei's lips twitched, a sentence stuck in his throat, but he didn't know what to say.

"Thank you," he said, turning and going upstairs. "You've gone to so much trouble."

Don Quixote ate the cookies by the fireplace and drank the milk to create evidence that Santa Claus had been there, before returning to his room to rest.

Levi didn't sleep after returning to his room. Anya was constantly messaging him from Monaco, saying that she had seen Levi's messages again, and that her father was planning to change the rear sunshade of the yacht to carbon fiber ("Doesn't that look like a race car's tail wing? How cool!"). Despite her strong objections, it was to no avail, because its color didn't match the off-white yacht at all. She couldn't understand why men were so obsessed with carbon fiber.

Time flew by and it was past two in the morning when rustling sounds came from Don Quixote's room next door again.

Li Wei's eyes lit up, and after turning off the screen, he tiptoed out the door.

In the dead of night, with the colorful neon lights outside the window as a guide, Don Quixote quietly put on his armor.

"Don Quixote!" said Livy. "Today is—"

"Shh," Don Quixote whispered, "be quiet and come with me."

He tiptoed downstairs, his armor clanging.

Luckily, Lily is a child and sleeps soundly, otherwise this noise would have definitely woken her up.

Don Quixote quietly went downstairs under the cover of night, came to the fireplace, sat down cross-legged and faced the dark fireplace without saying a word.

Li Wei was stunned for a moment, walked around Don Quixote twice, but still couldn't figure out what he was trying to do.

"Sit down, my friend," Don Quixote said with his eyes closed. "We must capture this intruder today."

You have received a mission: to capture the evil intruder.

Don Quixote, the knight, has received intelligence that a mysterious creature will invade his castle tonight. He lies in wait, hoping to capture it in one fell swoop.

Are there really intruders? Capture the evil Santa Claus? Levi's mind started racing.

He sat down on the sofa, took out his phone, and started killing time.

However, an hour passed before they finally sat there, and even after Anya had already boarded Sergei's superyacht, which was over 100 meters long, and set sail, the fireplace in front of them remained completely still.

That's for sure, because the fireplace in front of us is now just for decoration.

Li Wei waited and waited, but no intruders appeared. He felt that waiting idly was not a solution.

"Don Quixote, I'm going to patrol the area," he said. "If I bring back any intruders, may I handle it myself?"

"That's perfect," Don Quixote nodded. "Be careful, the intruders could be very dangerous."

.

Li Wei shook his head, went back to his room to change his clothes, and then pushed open the door and went out.

The Dyke Heights were eerily quiet at this moment; the snow was already up to the soles of our shoes, making a crunching sound as we walked on it.

Li Wei's every breath was now long and deep, each inhale and exhale producing large plumes of mist.

"What kind of intruder should I look for?" Levi pondered, "I can't just go back with a trash can like last time and say I caught a goblin, can I?"

As he walked, he suddenly heard a faint cry.

Following the sound, Li Wei discovered a faint... cat meow coming from the bushes by the roadside?

Li Wei walked over, lifted the bushes, and saw a Ragdoll and a Maine Coon calico kitten huddled in the grass, shivering and making weak meows.

"Great!" Li Wei was overjoyed. "You are the evil invader... um... the hybrid dragon!"

He grabbed the kitten, wiped the dirt off its body, put it back in his arms, and strode back into the house.

At this moment, Don Quixote sat quietly in front of the fireplace like a statue, waiting to capture the evil Santa Claus.

Li Wei, still emanating a chill, pushed open the door and entered.

"Look!" He placed the kitten in front of Don Quixote. "This is the intruder I caught, a half-dragon."

The kitten let out a weak meow: "Meow~"

Don Quixote scrutinized the kitten for a moment, then looked up at Livy: "Are you mistaken?" He pointed at the kitten. "This isn't some kind of dragon at all!"

Just as Li Wei was about to say, "As expected of you, you actually discovered it was just an ordinary cat," Don Quixote confidently declared, "This is clearly a demonic tiger! My friend, well done!"

"Alright, Demon Tiger," Li Wei said, "what do we do now?"

"It looks like it's sealed away," Don Quixote said, cradling the kitten in his hands and looking at the tiger demon that was about the size of his palm. "Let's keep it, tame it for a while, and see if we can train it to be our mount."

"Meow?"

Li Wei roughly imagined it, and it seemed to look like this:

Well, it's weird no matter how you look at it.

"So you're not thinking of dealing with it for now, right?" Levi didn't want Lily to wake up in the morning to find a cat that had been smashed flat in the house.

"No, after all, you've already sealed it away, haven't you?" Don Quixote put it on the ground, stood up, and said, "I can see that it no longer has any magic power."

He went into the refrigerator, expertly took out a large piece of raw beef, bigger than the cat, and placed it in front of the kitten.

"Eat," he said solemnly. "When you break the seal again and gallop across the battlefield with me, the world will sing your praises."

The demon tiger named Busephalos glanced at Don Quixote with some confusion, then at the mountain of flesh before him.

"Meow!" It pounced fiercely, but didn't even manage to bite off a single piece of meat.

"Very good," Don Quixote nodded in satisfaction, "Tear it up in big bites."

After he finished speaking, he stood up unsteadily and went up the stairs.

Li Wei looked at the kitten on the ground, shook his head, then divided a large piece of meat into small portions, and tore it into strips, giving them to the kitten.

After pouring it another bowl of water, Li Wei went back upstairs to continue resting.

He now has two more free attribute points, and without much hesitation, he immediately added 0.2 points to Strength.

In the instant of the boost, Li Wei felt his body become tighter inside, his tendons became harder, and his structural rigidity improved significantly, especially his joints, which seemed to be covered by an indescribable force.

Although he couldn't explain it, it didn't stop him from feeling as if his skeleton had been encased in cement or transformed into some kind of hydraulic piston, giving him a very reassuring feeling.

At the same time, it felt as if my body was being electrocuted, and my muscles were like gunpowder that would explode once ignited.

However, this feeling dissipated quickly; it was just a fleeting illusion.

the next day.

Lily let out a delighted scream!

"Kitty!" she shrieked, grabbing the bewildered calico cat and hugging it tightly to her chest. "Did Santa Claus give this to me?"

"Well, besides that," Don Quixote scratched his head somewhat blankly, "Santa Claus should have given you a bicycle."

"I love them both!" Lily exclaimed. "Lily Cervantes is a good girl; Santa Claus gave her two presents!"

Don Quixote looked at Livy and whispered, "What's with this cat?"

"I found it last night," Li Wei said. "I saw it was almost frozen to death, so I brought it back."

"What's its name?" Lily asked, clinging to the calico cat. "Does it have a name?"

"Yes," Levi continued, not letting it fall to the ground, "its name is Busephalos."

Lily: ?

"I'll call it Bubu," she said, staring at the cat for a moment before letting out a scream, "Ah!"

I love it.

"However, you should take it to get vaccinated first," Li Wei reminded him. "It looks clean, but just in case, you still need to do some more checks."

"Come on, Bubu," Lily said, pretending not to hear Levi, "let's play with our toys together."

On Christmas morning, Susan, Coach Miller, scout Wens, and others visited at different times to wish Li Wei, Don Quixote, and others a Merry Christmas.

Meanwhile, Li Wei also opened the Christmas gift Don Quixote had given him—an Apple notebook worth $1499.

He was a little disappointed.

Susan's arrival solved the problem of how to raise the kitten for the Li family. After taking Bubu to the vet for a check-up and registration, she bought a lot of cat food and cat supplies, and also took care of Lily for a while.

A few days later, the New Year arrived.

Don Quixote, Levi, and Lily boarded a flight from New York to San Antonio, Texas.

That's where the All-Star Bowl is held, where Levi will spend a whole week training and getting exposure before finally participating in the main game on Saturday.
