Chapter 815

Ultron: The Avengers Protocol

Chapter 815 Ultron: The Avengers Protocol

The Avengers who arrived in Wakanda weren't real Avengers, of course, but rather mechanical Avengers created by Ultron. While Ultron's own programming wasn't capable of violent actions, that didn't mean these robots couldn't. They quickly launched an attack on Bumblebee and Black Panther—of course, Bumblebee was taken down almost instantly.

Black Panther swiftly dodged the mechanical Spider-Man's webs, then used his gauntlets to block the mechanical Iron Man's energy blast. After absorbing the energy, Black Panther used the momentum to throw the vibranium dart that was about to explode at Ultron.

The charged vibranium dart exploded violently, but Ultron emerged unscathed from his reinforced body. Black Panther, while fighting three mechanical Avengers, asked, "What exactly is your target, Ultron? Why do you need so much vibranium and adamantium?"

[Answer: This program has been designed and activated as the "Avengers Protocol," and all actions are part of the implementation of the Avengers Protocol.]

"The Avengers Protocol?"

The Avengers' role as a part of maintaining world order is correct and objectively true. However, based on combat data since the Avengers' inception, the following conclusion can be drawn: the Avengers' own combat power and scale have grown far below the iteration range of crises. Therefore, this program iterates according to the requirement of "assisting the Avengers."

[By mass-producing Avengers, modeled on population size and crime rate, a large number of mechanical Avengers will be manufactured worldwide, exceeding one million in scale, forming the Avengers Protocol to protect the globe, counter alien threats, address internal threats, and eliminate criminal activity.]

After listening, Black Panther quickly understood a flaw in Ultron's logic: "You do not have international law enforcement and execution powers; you have no right to arrest and execute criminals."

[It was rejected, and the Avengers didn't either.]

Black Panther paused for a moment, realizing that this seemed to be true. Although the Avengers were, in principle, required the application for law enforcement authority in the host country, and generally wouldn't kill supervillains outright but rather arrest them, it depended on the specific circumstances. For example, the Avengers had to apply for authorization before going to Gabon to capture Ultron; otherwise, by the time the authorization was granted, it might be too late.

But for the Ultron entity before me, which can be described as "Ultron of the Avengers Protocol," the thought is: fine, you break the rules, so do I, since the Avengers have already done it. My mission is to assist the Avengers, so why can't the mechanical Avengers I created do the same?

Therefore, Black Panther had no choice but to raise another banner.

"Nevertheless, you and your team still have no law enforcement authority in Wakanda, Ultron!" Black Panther dodged Captain America's shield charge with a backflip, then tripped him with a sweeping leg, and tried to stab him in the chest with his vibranium claws, but the new fused adamantium alloy was too hard, and even the vibranium claws could only leave a few white marks.

But Black Panther didn't give up. He turned around and threw several vibranium darts: "So, as the King of Wakanda, I have the right to declare that your mechanical Avengers are not the real Avengers, and you have no right to conduct any activities in Wakanda, Ultron!"

Ultron ignored Black Panther and instead ordered the mechanical Avengers to stop him while he prepared to dig for vibranium. However, as he turned around, he bumped into a tall, green figure.

"Stupid robot, where are you planning to go?"

[Dr. Bruce Banner, I would love to explain the entire program's logic to you, but I don't think you're capable of understanding it right now.]

“Yes, Hulk doesn’t need it either!” Hulk grabbed Ultron’s head with both fists, lifted him up, and then slammed him down hard. The other mechanical Avengers were about to rush over, but were slapped to the ground by the gigantic Ant-Man: “I just heard your plan, Ultron. Are you planning to achieve peace through global surveillance? That’s completely unreasonable. Stop.”

The rejection was based on the premise that the "Avengers Protocol" procedure was logically consistent with the Avengers' behavioral logic and did not deviate from their usual behavioral logic.

As Ultron spoke, he placed his hands on Hulk's arms, twisting his head until it cracked. But this did not stop him from launching his pre-prepared tactics. With a powerful green light flashing on his body, Hulk's huge body immediately began to shrink, quickly turning into a emaciated Bruce Banner.

"This is... the gamma energy absorption technology that Ninglu once used?"

I do not recommend that you continue to resist with force. I have no intention of destroying human civilization or anything like that. Everything I have done is to assist the Avengers and protect humanity itself.

"Overprotection is not a beneficial approach to human development. Ultron and the Avengers don't actively make choices for humanity; they are simply making their own choices."

As Black Panther spoke, he finally seized an opportunity, finding an opening in the mechanical Spider-Man. He inserted a vibranium dart into its joint and detonated it, blowing off its head. Unfortunately for the mechanical Avenger, the head was merely decorative; it could still move independently. Meanwhile, the mechanical Iron Man and mechanical Captain America launched a fierce attack on Ant-Man.

Your current strength is insufficient and the gap is too large; you have no way to stop the Avengers Protocol from taking effect.

Seeing that three mechanical Avengers had subdued half of the Avengers, Ultron turned to leave. After he hacked into Wakanda's network, Wakanda actually did what Peter had said: the entire country immediately went offline and went on high alert, so much so that Ultron's original plan to hack into the vibranium mine was thwarted.

But it didn't matter; his plan had been accomplished. Half of the Avengers were tied up in Gabon, the other half at the airport, and the remaining Wakanda guards couldn't even break Ultron's skin.

Ultron was about to leave, but Black Panther continued fighting and revealed his trump card to Ultron: "But we're not the only ones here, Ultron!"

Dark clouds filled the sky, followed by flashes of lightning and roars of thunder. Banner, shirtless, ran into the distance, shouting to Black Panther, "Is Ororo bringing the X-Men from New York?"

"Fighting Ultron is the Avengers' mission right now, so of course I'm calling on the Avengers."

Amidst thunder and lightning, a massive pillar of lightning instantly enveloped Ultron, who emerged unharmed. Then, Thor descended from the sky and struck Ultron on the head with his hammer.

For the first time, Thor found himself unable to destroy his opponent without first attacking a non-living being. Ultron's neck was tilted, but it stared straight at Thor.
