Chapter 9

Rules

A rough hand, about the size of a basin, rested on Yocris's shoulder.

At the same time, Yocris's expression changed. He felt an irresistible force coming from his shoulder, and then his body was involuntarily sent flying backward, crashing into the wall.

Feeling dizzy and lightheaded, Yoris didn't react for a moment.

"elder brother!"

Yorkriana screamed in alarm, her face pale, and she rushed to Yorkris's side, supporting the unsteady Yorkris.

Everyone looked over and saw a small giant, a full two meters tall, standing where Yoris had just stood. The terrifying height brought an indescribable sense of oppression.

The man's somewhat deformed face seemed a little slow to react. He looked puzzled and said in a muffled voice, "What? So weak..."

Green's eyes widened in surprise as he stared at the suddenly appearing "monster," inwardly roaring, "Are you sure you're here to study at the Wizarding Academy? Not the Knight Academy or the Human-Monster Exhibition Park? Did you grow up eating giant flesh?"

Even Yokris, who had been pushed aside, was so shocked by the sight of this monstrous-looking man that he was speechless and completely stunned.

"Haha, Andrew, do you think everyone has your strength?"

The guy confronting Yokris laughed smugly, then rubbed his swollen eyes with a yelp and glared fiercely at Yokris.

"This matter won't be resolved today!"

At this moment, a man who was about 1.6 meters tall squeezed through the crowd and ran directly to the humanoid monster named Andrew. His triangular eyes darted around, and he had a lewd and sly smile on his face.

"Not over yet? Haha, you know what, that guy's sister is actually pretty good. Bai, if you're still not satisfied, why don't you just..."

"Go to hell!"

Yokris roared and charged toward the sleazy man. It was obvious that this was the "Rat" that Bai had just called over.

Bang!

Yokris was punched away again by the humanoid monster Andrew. He was pale and clutching his stomach, his body trembling uncontrollably, and he could barely stand.

The two were clearly not on the same level in terms of fighting ability. When Yokris fought against this humanoid monster, he was only going to get beaten up.

"It's not fun. The wizard said we can't kill people."

The humanoid monster cracked its knuckles and said regretfully, then added, "So weak and you still want to take over territory? Hmph, only the strong deserve to use their own territory."

This humanoid monster spoke in a muffled voice, but its mind was very clear.

The rat chimed in with a mocking laugh, "Today, the three of us brothers will teach you the rules of the Wizarding Continent: the law always lies with the mighty, haha."

Baina looked extremely smug, as if he had knocked Yokris unconscious with a single punch.

"No, we can't let this go today. I, Bai, have never suffered such a loss in my life. Today, I must have his sister..."

With swollen eyes, Bai walked toward Yokriana with a furious expression; his eyes were like those of a raging bull.

Yorkriana was terrified and stood trembling beside her brother, while the other onlookers in the cabin all had an "it's none of my business" expression, waiting to see what would happen.

On their first day on the ship, Green and his companions received a real lesson in the rules of the Wizarding World, and none of them looked happy.

"If you... if you dare bully her, I'll tell Baron on deck!"

At the crucial moment, it was Wade who, out of fear, dared not step forward and spoke up with a threat.

However, after being met with Bai's menacing glare, the guy immediately wilted and waved his hands, saying, "Uh... I was just kidding."

Bang!

Bai knocked Wade down with a single punch, curled his lip in disdain, and was immediately greeted with cheers from the cabin.

"Well done, yay!"

"One more punch..."

Standing in the ship's passageway, Green and his group looked somewhat anxiously at the guys sticking their heads out of their cabins to watch the excitement and cheers, and couldn't help but feel a sense of isolation.

Are these the rules of the wizarding world?

Truly, strength reigns supreme, and ruthlessness reigns supreme.

Just as the group of people present were feeling somewhat desperate, a voice tinged with joy came from behind Green.

"Haha, the strong rule the territory? Why didn't anyone tell me this rule sooner? Great, big guy, I've got my eye on your room. Here, take this lower deck cabin number."

As the words were spoken, a bronze plaque was actually thrown directly onto the bald head of the humanoid monster Andrew, and then fell to the ground with a "thud".

Andrew and the mouse next to him were almost frozen in place, unable to believe their eyes.

Is this guy insane? Is he looking for death?

Everyone looked in the direction of the voice and saw that it was Lafite!

Suddenly, Green and the others realized something and were pleasantly surprised. How could they have forgotten about her?

With Raffi stepping in, given her mastery of witchcraft, taking down a big guy who only knows brute force would be no problem at all!

Sure enough, Raffi muttered a witchcraft incantation and pointed at the humanoid monster Andrew. To everyone's astonishment, a giant vine instantly wrapped around the creature seven or eight times. With a "thud," Andrew lost his balance and fell to the ground, making a "whoosh" sound.

"Damn it, die!"

At that moment, while Bai was still in shock, Yocris punched him in the other eye. While Bai was still dizzy, Yocris then kneed him in the stomach, knocking him down.

"Ah...brothers and sisters, I was forced into this, please spare my life!"

Seeing that things were not going well, the mouse turned pale and begged for mercy loudly. Its triangular eyes were extremely panicked, and even its forehead was covered in cold sweat.

Because he never expected that one of these people had mastered witchcraft and directly bound Andrew, rendering him unable to fight.

Green let out a sinister laugh: "Die!"

Relying on his fighting skills from when he was a street beggar, Green knocked the guy down with one punch.

Silence. The cabin was deathly silent.

Everyone's attention was focused on Raffi, because they were all people from the remote island of East Coral Island who had been tested and found to have the qualifications of a wizard apprentice. They had never seen much of the world, so they had no idea that Raffi was releasing magic spells using magical artifacts.

Everyone was shocked and fearful because they thought Raffi had mastered witchcraft through his own power.

After all, this is a mysterious witchcraft with extraordinary power!

"Haha, that's great! I can finally live in the top deck and not have to squeeze in with those sailors anymore. Thanks, big guy."

Raffi happily entered his new room, and without looking back, slammed the wooden door shut.

Once the show was over, everyone in the cabin closed their doors and stopped paying attention to what was happening.

Green glanced at the three men who were no longer able to fight, but didn't care. He said to the Joklis siblings, "Now that this is over, I'm going back too."

"Thank you, but... sigh..."

For a moment, Joklis didn't know what to say. Recalling his behavior over the past few days, he felt incredibly embarrassed and ashamed. Therefore, he just nodded reluctantly and didn't want to look up at Green again.

Yorkliana, however, knew her brother's temperament and looked at Green and the others with teary eyes and gratitude.

"Thank you all, my brother and I will never forget it, and thank you Wade too."

Yorkriana turned around and specifically thanked Wade, who was also somewhat embarrassed not far away.

Wade had just stood up from the ground, his right eye covered in dark circles. He gave a forced, awkward smile and then turned and left.

Bingham, however, laughed heartily, saying, "The people of my great city of Tambrosen cannot bear to see their comrades bullied. They would go through fire and water for their comrades, let alone a mere two-meter-tall humanoid monster, or even an abyss demon..."

Green remained silent and strode away.

"Hey, Green, wait for me! That punch you just threw was the coolest I've ever seen, so awesome! And with that 'Go to hell' line, I bet if Sherry saw that, she'd dump her boyfriend and run into your arms..."

Bingham continued to torment Green.

A moment later, Green opened his room, and a musty smell hit him as soon as he opened the door. Green frowned and fanned himself.

Fortunately, no fools occupied Green's room, otherwise Green would have had to fight a match himself.

However, if there really was someone who would steal from even three decks of the ship, Green's fighting prowess would be more than enough to take him down easily.

The room was small, only about ten square meters, and contained nothing but a bed, a table, and a chair.

Yes, of course, there are still bedding on the bed, and a candlestick on the table.

"well……"

With a sigh, he realized that although the cabin was not comfortable, he had no choice but to make do for now.

Green lit the candles, closed the door, and took out "Guided Meditation" and "Nose Modification and Scent Map".

Regarding "Guided Meditation," although Green successfully gained magical power within his body through more than half a month of effort, based on his understanding of "Guided Meditation," his magical power should only be between 2 and 3 as mentioned in the text, which is a preliminary activation state.

According to "Guided Meditation," a wizard's normal magical power level should be a fluctuation range of mental power multiplied by 10.

In other words, given that Green was found to have 12 points of mental strength, his maximum potential should be around 120 points of magic power fluctuation.

"It's a pity we don't have a crystal ball, so we can't accurately and promptly understand our own situation."

Green felt a little regretful. The crystal ball is the most commonly used magical artifact by wizards and has many uses. Understanding one's own state is one of the uses of the crystal ball.

The knowledge contained in the magical book "Nose Modification and Scent Map" is far more profound than that in "Meditation Guides." It involves a lot of professional wizarding terminology, which Green, a guy with no wizarding knowledge, could not understand at all no matter how hard he studied it.

However, this magic book is actually divided into two parts.

The first part is about nose-hunting modification. According to Green's understanding, it should be a kind of witchcraft that allows a wizard to change his own nose, and the name of this witchcraft is "nose-hunting".

Because this witchcraft involved too much specialized knowledge, Green simply couldn't decipher it.

The second piece of knowledge in this magic book is the scent map, which records all the molecular elements of 17852 scents that wizards can separate, and also provides detailed records of certain scents that can elicit special reactions in people.

With nothing else to do, Green felt this would be his biggest advantage after joining the wizarding academy, and he planned to memorize the entire contents of this wizarding book!

This book of witchcraft was once Green's greatest wish.

With things to do, time flies by. In the blink of an eye, ten days have passed, during which time I've visited countless islands.

Several hundred more wizard apprentices boarded the ship, and then the giant ship, full of wizard apprentices, sailed into the deep sea.

The deep sea is filled with countless terrifying ocean legends. Even the residents of Green Island have heard many versions of these stories. Occasionally, there are countless tales of mysterious sea monsters capsizing ships and devouring people.

In short, the deep sea is a place that even wizards have not fully explored, full of unknowns and mysteries.

That day, Green frowned deeply at the food in front of him and sighed, "Fish and mushroom soup again?"

No wonder Green sighed, saying that anyone would feel nauseous if they ate the same food for ten days in a row.

As for why it was always this fish and mushroom soup, Green suspected that the mushrooms were cultivated by a wizard using magic.

As for the fresh fish, they were naturally caught by sailors from the sea.

Many people complained to Baron about this, and a day later Baron replied, "The master said that if you don't like it, you don't have to eat it."

Then he ignored everyone and left them speechless.

Frowning, Green picked up the fish and mushroom soup, about to swallow, when suddenly a commotion erupted in the cabin, and someone faintly shouted, "Pirates are here! Pirates are here!"

Moreover, judging from the sounds, there was more excitement than fear.

That's right. This is a ship with a formal wizard in charge, so of course it's not afraid of pirates. In fact, the occasional pirate visit would even give the wizard apprentices, who were bored in the cabins, a bit of a novelty.

Green was also surprised and walked out of the cabin.
