Chapter 22
Homelander Flight
"You know what?" Wu Yanzu tilted his head, revealing a pitying smile, "I really hate you experimental subjects."
"This reminds me of some painful memories from the past, even though those memories don't belong to me."
"What do you know?!" Savan roared, taking a step back and pulling out the detonator to press it down.
"boom--!!!!"
He detonated the bomb that had been planted in the side wall of the cabin!
He knew he couldn't win, but he had a Plan B!
"call--!!!"
The side wall of the cabin was blown open, creating a huge hole with a diameter of ten meters!
The terrifying pressure difference at an altitude of 10,000 meters instantly destroyed the carts, luggage, documents... and more inside the cabin.
"Aaaaaaahh ...
The thirteen surviving crew members, staff, and Secret Service agents screamed as they were swept out of the cabin by the powerful airflow, plummeting into the abyss at an altitude of 10,000 meters!
"Hahahahahaha!!" Savan burst into maniacal laughter.
"Go save them! Homelander!" he roared ferociously. "Go! Aren't you a hero?! Hahahaha!"
Savan looked at Wu Yanzu with a smug expression.
"You're really noisy," Wu Yanzu coldly interrupted him.
Savan's laughter stopped abruptly.
"You think... you've given me a difficult problem??"
A cruel smile appeared on Wu Yanzu's face.
"I'm not here to play games with you, you... hot piece of trash."
Sawan's internal alarm bells rang loudly; he was just about to detonate himself.
"Sizzle—!!!"
Wu Yanzu's eyes lit up with a deep red light.
He was not given any time to react.
Two thermal beams with core temperatures exceeding 5000℃ swept across the area.
"puff--!"
Eric Sawan's head was neatly divided in two, like a watermelon that had been cut in half.
The half-dead corpse collapsed to its knees with a thud, its wounds charred black.
Wu Yanzu did not look at the corpse again.
"Ashley," he said calmly, reconnecting the communicator, "Plan A is complete. Now, begin executing Plan B."
"Plan B... Plan B? What Plan B?" Ashley asked, puzzled.
"That's right."
Wu Yanzu walked to the huge hole. A cold wind rushed in, making his cloak flutter loudly.
He glanced down at the thirteen black dots, which were faintly visible in the clouds.
"Plan B is called...being on camera!"
After saying that, his eyes shot out a blazing beam of light, not for killing, but for cutting!
He set his sights on the alloy floor covered with carpet and connected to seven rows of seats!
"magnetic--!!"
Thermal imaging is like an indestructible scalpel slicing through the hard alloy fuselage!
"Cut...cut...turn...one more time..."
Like a dedicated artist, Ah Zu cut out a perfect rectangle on the belly of Air Force One!
"open!"
He suddenly rushed forward and kicked hard with both feet!
"Clang—!!!"
A huge "tray" about ten meters long and five meters wide, along with more than a dozen fixed seats, was shoved off the plane by him!
Ah Zu leaped up and grabbed the edge of the "flying carpet" to steady himself.
He dragged the huge "alloy tray", suddenly turned around, and rushed towards the thirteen screaming "lucky audience members"!
"Aaaaaaah! I'm going to die!!"
A flight attendant was frantically waving her limbs in the air, unable to breathe due to the strong winds at high altitude.
Just as she was about to faint, a strong arm wrapped around her waist.
"Hey."
The flight attendant opened her eyes and saw that... handsome face that only appeared on TV and in her dreams.
"Father...Fatherlander?!"
"Hold on tight, sweetheart." Azu gave her a smile that was worth a million dollars.
Ah Zu held her and gently tossed her onto the "tray" seat.
"Bang!"
"Sit tight! Fasten your seatbelt, ma'am."
"What?!"
"Fasten your seatbelts! The flight will be a bit bumpy!"
"Aaaaaah!!"
Ignoring her screams, Ah Zu rushed toward his next target.
"Help me! Help me!" A senior White House staffer was falling rapidly.
Azu grabbed his collar.
"Bang!" Another one.
"Fasten your seatbelts!"
"Next!"
"Bang!"
"Fasten!!"
"Next!"
"Bang!"
"Fasten!!!"
The last one!
"Done."
Thirteen people, no more, no less, were all on this "flying tray".
Most people were terrified, but they still instinctively obeyed the orders, grabbed their seats, and fastened their seatbelts.
"ladies and gentlemen."
Ah Zu held onto the edge of the "tray" in front, acting as the "nose".
He cleared his throat and gave a professional smile to the group of shaken passengers behind him.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome aboard... Homelander!"
"There might be some turbulence during the flight, so please fasten your damn seatbelts!"
"Buzz—!!!"
He suddenly accelerated!
This enormous tray, which was part of the Air Force One assembly, stabilized its downward trajectory under his "traction" and began to glide smoothly...
Meanwhile, in Times Square, New York.
It was as noisy as ever here.
A giant GG sign is playing the movie trailer for Homelander: Origins on a loop.
Suddenly, all the screens... went black.
"Hey! What's going on?"
"Where is my beloved motherland?!"
The next second, all the screens... switched to the same emergency live broadcast.
"...My God...we are witnessing something unbelievable!"
The footage shows shaky aerial shots taken from a helicopter.
"Air Force One"... no, it's the wreckage of "Air Force One"!
A huge airplane floor, carrying a dozen or so people, is smoothly skimming over the New York City skyline!
At the very front of that "floor," a figure in red and blue was leading them!
"He did it... Homelander... He... He captured everyone!!"
"My God... he cut the plane in half and used it as a life raft!!"
Tens of thousands of people in Times Square simultaneously looked up, their mouths agape.
They saw it...
They saw the figure from the live stream appearing from the sky!
Azu maintained the tray perfectly level as he cruised across the city skyline at a steady pace.
He could hear screams coming from below, but he didn't care.
His "Vot Media" helicopter is hovering at the best shooting angle.
"Closer! Yes! I want a close-up!!" The photographer, who was Vought's personal photographer on the helicopter, was yelling wildly at the camera.
"Now!"
Azu flew directly above Times Square.
He slowly... changed his posture.
He changed from "pulling" to "lifting".
He flew directly beneath the enormous tray and, with his bare hands, supported the thirteen lives and the heavy alloy floorboards!
"Snap—!!!!"
Walter's photographer pressed the shutter.
This scene was destined to become legendary.
