The Divine Birth and the Descent of the Great Dao: Reluctant Yet Difficult to Explain

Chapter 59 The Divine Birth and the Descent of the Great Dao: Reluctant Yet Difficult to Explain

Guang Chengzi kept swallowing and spitting out dewdrops from his Niwan, and his aura began to surge. Although he was still at the Golden Immortal level, it was completely different from before, and he could hardly be compared to him.

This principle is like a pound of cotton and a pound of iron. Although cotton and iron have the same weight, even if ten pounds of cotton are stacked together, a pound of iron can still punch a hole through them.

This is the difference in quality.

The difference between Guangchengzi and the divine is a qualitative difference.

The innate deities, or children of heaven and earth, are beings born from heaven and earth. They are born with boundless fortune and profound virtue. Even the weakest deity is born with great power.

Because they all originated from the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth, it is said that there were gods at the beginning of creation, and gods and the Dao are the same. These gods are the divine ones. The divine ones existed at the beginning of creation, but they were mixed in with the Great Dao and had not yet appeared.

Only by fully comprehending a Great Dao can one attain the position of Great Luo Venerable. All innate deities are born from the Great Dao. Comprehending the Great Dao is comprehending oneself, and naturally one can become a being born as a Great Luo.

It is not that being a saint grants one the ability to attain greatness, but rather that it is precisely because they are born with greatness that they are considered saints.

Although Guang Chengzi was not fortunate enough to become a primordial deity, he could still make good use of his efforts even if he was born with some shortcomings.

As he breathed, inexplicable, hazy figures appeared in the cave.

These phantoms are vast and majestic, each containing boundless power. Countless tiny figures can be vaguely seen slowly climbing upwards within the phantoms, but none of them can completely occupy the peak of the phantom.

Seemingly sensing the appearance of these phantoms, before they could collide with each other, the Azure Lotus of Creation swayed slightly, and an invisible force instantly froze these phantoms completely, allowing Guang Chengzi to choose them at will:

Without the protection of the Creation Lotus, these phantoms would probably have already started fighting. Even if none of them could defeat the others, they would have forced Guang Chengzi to stop cultivating.

Although Guang Chengzi was still cultivating with his eyes closed, he could understand everything that was happening in the outside world, and he could also sense that within each of these phantoms there was a power that shocked and amazed him.

That is the Great Dao!

Every illusory figure here is a manifestation of the Great Dao!

Clearly, it was Guang Chengzi's continuous efforts to replenish his roots that drew the attention of many unclaimed Daoist masters to this acquired deity, who then spontaneously descended upon this place, wanting Guang Chengzi to choose them.

"This is bad! These great paths have suddenly appeared, but I haven't finished clearing my foundation yet. Furthermore, even if I achieve the foundation of a post-natal saint, as long as I haven't reached the Taiyi realm, it will be difficult for me to discern which great path I need. I must escape as soon as possible!"

Faced with these followers of the Great Dao, Guang Chengzi was not flattered or overjoyed; on the contrary, he was extremely troubled and did not know what to do.

Although the Great Dao is lofty and difficult to understand, it is ultimately a spiritless thing, just like spiritual treasures and spiritual roots, possessing only the simplest instincts but no wisdom.

This is why the Great Dao yearns for a master, and cultivators also want to become the master of the Great Dao, because this represents the Great Luo.

To become the master of the Great Dao, one must either be a being spontaneously created by the Great Dao itself or rely on cultivation to slowly ascend the Great Dao. Once one reaches the peak of the Great Dao, one can completely control it.

These numerous figures within the Great Dao are the cultivators of the Great Dao, who are diligently cultivating within it. They appear to be countless, but each and every one of them is a Taiyi Golden Immortal!

Taiyi is the art of divination, and Taiyi Golden Immortal is the Golden Immortal of Divination. The so-called various heavenly secrets of ambushing enemies are actually minor arts. The real application of the law is to calculate which Great Dao is suitable for oneself.

There are three thousand Great Daos, but this number of three thousand is actually just a figurative number. In reality, the Great Daos are infinite and can even generate new ones at any time.

And since there are countless cultivators, choosing the right path for oneself is an extremely profound subject.

At the beginning of creation, there were no so-called Golden Immortals, Taiyi Golden Immortals, etc. This is a lineage of Taoism that Hongjun himself explained and researched. From then on, all living beings in the world followed it.

However, in an extremely distant era, when the three races of the Creation Heaven had just appeared, after the Immortals came the Great Luo, and there was no Taiyi at all.

Therefore, at that time, cultivators could only choose the right path by fate, which is why there were so few post-natal Grand Luo cultivators.

If the path to enlightenment is blocked, then one must immediately abandon it and start over. Otherwise, the more one cultivates, the more agitated one's mind will become, and how can one then achieve oneness with it?

Dung beetles can't stand the smell of flowers, and butterflies can't eat dung—that's the point.

In this vast and boundless world of paths, how difficult is it to choose one that suits you?

Unless there are innate deities willing to calculate the secrets of heaven for them, but the many deities are too busy to do so, they can only calculate for one or two disciples or children they have their eye on. How could they possibly calculate for the vast majority of people?

Therefore, all living beings could only reach the level of immortality at that time, which also aligned with the calculations of the three races that created the heavens, meaning that all living beings could no longer surpass them.

Only Hongjun, with his great benevolence, opened up the Taiyi realm for all living beings and bestowed upon them the way of divination, which allowed many acquired Great Luo beings to gradually flourish, instead of only innate deities sitting in the primordial world.

It is precisely because of this supreme merit that Hongjun is hailed as the ancestor of the Dao and the progenitor of all Daos.

Even the Great Dao worships this Dao Ancestor, because it was this Dao Ancestor who gave them a master and a direction to move forward. Guang Chengzi is now trying to establish a foundation for becoming a post-natal deity, using this as an anchor point to anchor a Great Dao.

If one can harden one's heart and abandon all cultivation, using only one's Dao Heart to carry one's will and merge into this Great Dao, then perhaps after billions of years, one can become a being born as a Great Luo, that is, reversing the acquired to the innate, and achieving the foundation of an innate saint.

But Guang Chengzi was unwilling to do so. After all, he himself did not know which path to choose, so how could he just give up all his cultivation?

But now that the arrow is on the bowstring, it must be released. The Creation Green Lotus obviously did not suppress these Great Daos with great force. It is only temporarily blocking them, but still allowing these Great Daos to approach. It is obviously letting Guang Chengzi choose one.

The two perspectives are ultimately different. The Creation Lotus is a supreme spiritual root with the potential to transform into human form. Once born, it is at least a being born as a Great Luo Immortal.

Therefore, in his view, it was a good thing that Guang Chengzi was able to choose a great path as a place of gestation, and naturally he would not dispel it. It was just a pity that Guang Chengzi did not want to choose a great path in this way, and still tried to resolve it.

He wanted to say something, but with the arrival of the myriad paths and the violent aura, Guang Chengzi's thousands of words were swallowed back down his throat, and he could not even let his consciousness spread. He could only watch helplessly as the Creation Green Lotus did something that was meant to be good but turned out badly.

Is it really true that we can only randomly choose one path?
