Midio counted on his fingers, "I know first-tier Magic Perception and Magic Missile, first-tier Fireball and Fire Ring, first-tier Wind Blade and Whirlwind, first-tier Earth Lock and Deep in the Mud, first-tier Water Arrow, Water Mist, and Water to Ice, first-tier Arc Shock, first-tier Entangling Roots and Plant Growth, and first-tier Shaping."

"I also have magic that can make small objects float, magic that can dry clothes, and magic that can make eggshells crack open completely."

Alphonse was stunned. How come you know a little bit of magic in all the different types of magic?

It seems that he knows a little bit of all magic types except for light, dark and mental magic, but the only drawback is that he only knows them all at the first level.

He can be described as a true all-rounder.

However, having a lot of knowledge can also mean being a jack of all trades and master of none.

It's not like the fantasy novel "I Am a Great Mage" where the protagonist eats a sweet potato and gains endless magic power, becoming proficient in all types of magic.

Human lifespan is limited, and warriors with battle aura will only choose one attribute that suits them.

I suppose magicians are much the same.

A character whose magic is so powerful that it can destroy the world can only exist in novels.

However, Alphonse was somewhat concerned about the magic that Midio mentioned that could make plants grow.

Isn't that a druid spell?

Perhaps, it might be useful?

But he is currently injured, so it's not convenient for him to go out and give a demonstration.

"Alright, we'll do as you say. You can rest here and recover until you're healed before serving me again." Alphonse didn't intend to bother him any further. He left after saying that and walked towards the door. As he reached the door, he added, "The maid will come to change your dressings later. Your injuries are quite serious, so you need to rest more and recover properly."

As soon as Alphonse left, Midio closed his eyes and carefully sensed the situation. He let out a long breath and muttered to himself, "Thank goodness, I had prepared various excuses and didn't give myself away."

Her face scrunched up immediately. "Ouch! I was too careless! I didn't expect the random teleportation to send me to a monster cave."

Alphonse assumed he had gotten lost and was being chased by the Shadow Leopard, which was why he had fled the forest in such a panic.

Little did he know that the reality was somewhat different. Midio had been teleported into the Shadow Panther's den, and after finally killing the female panther, he was ambushed by the male panther who had been pursuing him in the forest, which was why he was in such a sorry state.

Midio was not as weak as he appeared; he possessed other abilities that others could not sense.

After silently praying, a luminous white ball of light appeared in Midio's hand. Just as he was about to press it onto the wound on his back, he remembered something else.

"Oh, right, he just said that the maid will come to change my dressing later. If there are any obvious changes in the wound, it will arouse suspicion. Treating it from the inside should be fine."

Midio immediately pressed the ball of light into his chest, and the pure white light slowly diffused, relieving much of the pain.

If Alphonse saw this, he would be absolutely surprised, as it is a healing spell, not something a mage would normally know.

Midio sighed and muttered something.

"This older brother doesn't seem like a good person. He tried to use mental magic on me right away, but he doesn't seem too bad either; he didn't coerce or threaten me."

The environment here is alright. I'll stay here for a while to recover from my injuries, experience the local customs and culture, and then figure out a way to slip away and travel the world.

I've finally escaped from the cage, time to have some fun!

Hey!

The royal palace of the Kingdom of Hailant was now in complete chaos.

Because Prince Wayne Zephyr, the first heir to the kingdom, has inexplicably disappeared from his palace.

Not a single guard saw any sign that Prince Wayne had left the palace.

Princess Floria, the regent, was furious with a young servant. "Medio! As the prince's personal attendant, how could you not know where he went?"

Midio had no way to express his grievances. He was indeed Prince Wein's personal attendant, but that meant he could only accompany the prince during the day and read with him at night. He had no right to sleep in the prince's bedroom.

He did indeed see the prince go to bed and sleep soundly last night before leaving.

Who would have thought that when I woke up in the morning, the prince was nowhere to be found.

Yet he dared not argue, and could only kneel on the ground, saying, "It was my dereliction of duty, I am willing to accept any punishment!"

Floria looked at the letter in her hand, her hand trembling slightly. She knew that it wasn't really Midio's fault, but she just couldn't suppress the nameless anger in her heart.

The letter contained only one short sentence: "Sister, I'm going out to play. Don't blame Midio, he won't know where I went, hehe! You don't need to look for me, I'll be back when I'm done playing. Goodbye!"

Having lost her parents at a young age, Floria's only remaining close relative is her younger brother, Wayne. Moreover, Wayne is exceptionally gifted, having received the blessing of the God of Light at birth. He is regarded as the son of God by the Church of Light and has been identified as a candidate for the next pope.

The combination of divine and royal power into one person is certainly a good thing, so Floria disciplines Wein exceptionally strictly, hoping that he can grow up under her care as his older sister.

I never expected him to run away from home!

That kid is so reckless! Doesn't he know how dangerous the outside world is?

Having always lived a stable life in the palace, how could he possibly survive alone!

Undeterred, Floria chanted a spell and waved her hand, casting the rewind magic once more.

Like a screen of light, a water mirror appeared in the void, but then, as if disturbed, abruptly vanished into thin air.

Without being able to go back in time, there's no way to know how Wayne escaped.

Flora was extremely upset.

Just then, a maid rushed into the bedchamber, "Your Highness, Bishop Bartos and Bishop Valyria request an audience!"

"I understand." Floria nodded, then glared fiercely at Midio. "Take him away and await punishment!"

Two guards immediately stepped forward and lifted Midio up.

Midio dared not resist at all and obediently allowed himself to be taken away.

Floria suppressed her anger and returned to the main hall, taking a seat next to the throne.

Only Wein could gain the Pope's approval and ascend the throne, but that would only happen after he came of age, when the Pope would hold a coronation ceremony for him.

Before that, Floria could only act as regent, managing the affairs of the kingdom on her behalf.

Two elderly men dressed in solemn white priestly robes were already waiting.

Bishop Bartos came every day to teach theology to Wein, so it was impossible to keep such a thing happening in the court from him.

But at this juncture, the Pope sent the Bishop of Valyria, and it's unclear what instructions he has for him.

Although the Kingdom of Hailant believes in the divine right of kings, the Church of Light does not interfere too much with the royal family. However, since Wein is the son of God, they will not neglect him.
