Chapter 88
Teacher Ma

In Malibu Beach, the film crew rented a holiday home and the accompanying beach to film the artists' extravagant lifestyle.
At noon, Martin, wearing casual shorts, sat under a parasol by the pool in the courtyard of the holiday home. With nothing else to do, he idly wandered around the area.
This place is full of young and beautiful swimsuit actresses, all of them with great figures and high looks.
Only a fool wouldn't watch it.
Later there will be a party scene, and Martin and four beautiful actresses are called over by director Julian.
Julian didn't waste any words and said, "The focus of this scene is on you guys in the pool, with Martin and Daisy as the main characters."
He designed the scene based on his own experience. At this moment, his gaze swept over the other three girls in swimsuits, and he casually called out, "You are in charge of kissing Daisy in front, and you are in charge of kissing Martin from the side."
The actress raised her hand: "Director, where should we kiss?"
Julian, slightly impatient, said, "Aren't you an actor? Do I need to teach you something this simple?" He looked at the other girl and said, "You push Martin from behind."
Finally, having learned from her previous experience, the girl replied, "Okay."
Julian said, "You guys get familiar with this place for a bit, we'll start filming in half an hour."
Martin, an expert in this kind of role, said, "No problem."
As the director walked away, Daisy specifically reminded Martin, "Don't touch my neck, or I'll burst out laughing."
Martin asked beforehand, "Is there anything else?"
Daisy thought carefully for a moment: "No."
Martin, now known as Teacher Martin, suggested, "I've filmed many of these kinds of scenes, so I'll control the pace, and you can follow my rhythm."
Daisy said, "Okay."
The crew quickly completed preparations, and with Julian's command, all departments of the crew began to operate efficiently.
The artistic atmosphere on set suddenly rose, as if Cannes and Venice were beckoning.
Martin, being very professional, used breath freshener again.
As the script supervisor clapped the clapperboard, filming officially began.
Following the designated movements, Martin emerged from the villa, acting like a dashing playboy. He first engaged in a close, intimate dance with three girls, then embraced two newly arrived girls, and led them to the poolside.
Director Julian called out, "Cut!"
Martin kept his eyes glued to the gleaming headlights, maintaining his passionate and energetic state.
Julian found the actor to be in good form, portraying the art director's dissolute and romantic nature exceptionally well.
He urged, "Get ready to film the next take."
Daisy and the other three went down into the pool.
Filming resumed, and Martin leaped up, jumped into the pool, and pounced on Daisy and the other three.
The four immediately surrounded Martin. Martin turned to Daisy, grabbed her long legs, pulled her close, and pressed himself against her.
The forceful movement caused Daisy to gasp in surprise, her body and expression instantly freezing.
As expected, the director called "cut".
Martin asked in a low voice, "Is there a problem? Tell me what's wrong."
Daisy said, "You... are too strong. No, it's not your problem, it's my problem. An accident affected me."
Martin noticed her gaze drifting downwards. For the sake of the shoot, he wasn't afraid to sacrifice for art. After a moment's consideration, he said, "Daisy, if you don't mind, and it would be helpful to you, you can familiarize yourself with it beforehand."
"Really?" Daisy asked, seeing that Martin had agreed. She reached out and placed her hand on Martin's abs.
After a while, Martin climbed out of the pool, went to the dressing room next door to dry off, touched up his makeup, and changed into a new pair of swim trunks.
The filming went very smoothly this time, with the five of them tangled together.
After filming was complete, Martin climbed onto the pool and put on a bathrobe.
Daisy swam over to this side and reached out her hand.
Martin smiled and said, "Thank you, I just did what I was supposed to do."
The crew moved indoors to film the next scene.
Bottles, cigarette butts, plastic bags, and hookah pipes were scattered everywhere.
Julian called Martin over: "You lie down among them, get physically involved with them, understand?"
"The life of an artist." Martin replied with a profound understanding: "I understand!"
He walked to the edge of the carpet, and Daisy patted herself: "Martin, you can use this as your pillow."
Martin said, "Work, sorry."
He had just lain down when he was surrounded by a wave of people. He didn't know which two actresses were taking advantage of the filming to take advantage of him.
For the sake of art, Martin tolerated it and did not report them.
As he passed through this passage, he broke free from the tenderness and discovered that Thomas had arrived.
Thomas accompanied him to the rest area: "You're adapting very quickly."
Martin sat in his chair and said casually, "No problem."
Thomas showed him a document: "I have the relevant credentials. Go to the Screen Actors Guild tomorrow morning. The production team has already sent a formal letter to the guild."
Martin said casually, "Are you busy? If not, come with me. I'm not well-educated and don't understand many things, so I'm easily fooled."
Thomas's first reaction was to refuse, but considering that Martin had Louise Mayer under him, he held back: "Okay, we'll meet at the union gate at nine o'clock."
Even with the relevant qualifications and credentials, joining the actors' guild still requires money.
Martin paid a $3000 membership fee and an initial annual fee of $116 to officially become a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
Union members also gave Martin a guide to collecting protection money.
For those earning less than $20 annually, the annual fee is $116 plus 1.85% of their income.
The growth is then a step-by-step percentage increase, capped at $6566.
This money was well spent.
If problems arise, the union will send someone to help.
As they left the union, Thomas said, "You've got your ticket to winning an important role."
"Boss, it's time for you to get moving." Why did Martin hire an agent? He started giving motivational speeches: "The day I signed the contract, I knew you were an extremely capable agent who could bring me tons of job opportunities."
Thomas felt he had the wrong client, but that was just part of a broker's job.
In the afternoon, Martin returned to the set to continue filming.
Still at the holiday home, this time Martin will be filming a scene with the male lead, Adrian Greeney.
The two briefly rehearsed their lines, then sat in front of the long hair.
At the start of the shoot, seven or eight beautiful women falling from above served as the background, with car headlights swaying back and forth, adding to the artistic atmosphere.
Martin, sprawled on Daisy, said, "Dude, you're a star. You liked my film? What did you like about it? Art!"
"It will affect my image," Adrian said.
Martin patted Daisy on the shoulder, and Daisy pushed him up. He went to Adrian, put his arm around his neck, and said, "You're a star, I'm an artist, we're equals, so the guy you were hyping up, I'll play!"
Adrian was surprised.
Martin tapped his chest: "You've met your match!"
Adrian broke free, turned around, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Damn it, I acted! I want the lead role!"
Martin grabbed him again, putting his arms around his neck: "Big star, we'll bring back a big award, you'll become an Oscar winner!"
The director yelled, "Cut!"
Martin, that big rascal, didn't take the robe the crew assistant brought. Instead, wearing only shorts, he wiggled his V-line and swung his pectoral muscles as he walked towards the rest area.
Adrian frowned; he felt terrible about the scene just now, being completely outmatched from beginning to end.
In terms of screen time, the character is relatively weak.
In terms of performance, he was completely dominated by his opponent.
A burst of laughter came from the rest area, and Adrian discovered that a dozen or so scoundrels were sitting around the guy.
He walked towards the private rest area and asked his friend Tony, who was also in the film, "Where did that exhibitionist come from?"
"Wait a minute." Tony, like a follower, asked a few questions to someone well-informed on set, and then came back and said, "A newcomer from WMA, from Atlanta, this is his first role in Hollywood."
"Hillbilly?" Adrian was a New Yorker, so his focus was completely different.
Tony took out his phone: "They're with the same agency as us, let me call and ask."
Adrian looked at Martin's side. The two weren't that far apart in age, and he thought they looked similar too, plus they were in the same agency.
What was that idiot agent at the company thinking? Was he trying to annoy him?
Tony then hung up the phone and said, "It's Thomas Lane's guy."
Adrian waved his hand: "Never mind him."
Tony nodded: "Okay, just let me know if you need anything."
Adrian patted him on the shoulder: "Who else can I tell if not you?" He bumped fists with Tony: "We're partners."
The two got along well because Tony was short, ugly, and fat, and posed no threat to him.
The filming moved to the terrace, where it was still Adrian and Martin acting together.
The more Adrian filmed, the more uneasy he felt.
The guy I was acting opposite was so flamboyant and frivolous, a womanizer to the core.
It's like a real-life recreation of the characters in the script.
Acting skills are a subjective thing, but when acting opposite someone, Adrian felt it very clearly, as if he was being crushed and left with nothing but passively following along.
After another take, director Julian didn't call "cut." Instead, he called Martin over and asked, "Is this role suitable for you?"
Martin said in a serious tone, "The artistic aura that the character exudes from the inside out resonates with me particularly well."
Julie cautioned, "You've done a great job with that, but a good actor needs to be able to control the flow."
Martin immediately realized what was going on: "Sorry, director, I got too immersed in the role."
"No, you don't need to apologize." Julian was very serious about his work: "You did an excellent job, it was inspired, you had few mistakes, very good."
He waved his hand: "Go back and continue filming."
In the later filming, Martin toned it down a bit, since the director Billy he was playing was just a minor supporting role anyway.
When the film crew moved to the beach to shoot, several celebrities who were making cameo appearances as real people came to participate in the filming of the beach party.
Adrian's character in the series is a Hollywood star.
Martin mostly served as a background figure.
During a break from filming, he met Old Bu's favorite item.
I have something to do tomorrow morning, so I updated at midnight.
