Aliens Aren't Cabbage

Chapter 35 Aliens Aren't Cabbage

The tall, thin agent slowly woke up, smacked his lips a couple of times, and slowly opened his eyes, struggling to focus.

hiss~

This sudden stimulation made him remember what had happened.

He looked up abruptly and immediately saw the woman. Her fair skin glowed with a natural luster, and her well-defined face wore a charming smile.

Beside her stood a burly, imposing man, tall and exuding an aura of powerful confidence. His exaggerated size and muscles, simply standing next to the woman, involuntarily conjured up a single word in one's mind.

beauty and the Beast.

"My name is Seria, and this is Vatox," the woman said with a smile. "We've been watching you for a while now."

The tall, thin agent then realized that he was being suspended in mid-air, his feet about ten centimeters off the ground. His hands were bound in chains, and he hung in mid-air like a dead pig in a slaughterhouse.

He glanced to the side and saw the short agent hanging there as well. The two quickly exchanged a look.

Seria said lazily, "I know you come from an organization that may represent a group of outstanding people on this primitive planet."

And then there was the aliens you mentioned earlier. I'm guessing you're some organization on this planet responsible for external affairs, right?

This tone clearly placed him in the category of "aliens." The tall, thin agent looked at his senior in surprise, seeing a similar astonishment in the other's eyes.

"So they're aliens, no wonder." The tall, thin agent understood.

I knew that something that big couldn't possibly be human.

"What's your name?" Seria asked with a smile as she approached the tall, thin agent.

The short agent quickly gave him a wink, signaling him not to speak under any circumstances.

But the next second, the tall, thin agent spoke up: "My name is Richard, I'm twenty-nine, and unmarried. My social security number is xxx."

After saying that, he looked at the short agent with a mournful face: "Brother, I think they used a truth serum on me. I can't keep quiet."

"Don't talk nonsense," the short agent scolded. "That's something made up for TV. There's no such thing in reality!"

"But I really feel like I can't help it."

"Good girl," Seria smiled. "Now, tell me your secret."

"My secret. My secret."

The tall, thin agent gritted his teeth, struggling against the urge to speak out that welled up inside him, cold sweat pouring down his forehead.

The burly black man from Vatox, arms crossed, sneered from behind: "Give up. No one can resist the Korvasl potion. Tell us the truth."

The tall, thin agent convulsed all over, finally unable to resist.

"My Biggest Secret"

He spoke with difficulty, his lips trembling.

"There's a rumor that I like going to my older brother's house because I'm interested in his beautiful wife. That's utter nonsense! It's completely untrue! The one I truly like is my older brother!"

Seria: "?"

Vatox: "?"

Short Agent: "???"

They were all completely bewildered.

"My God, I can't believe I'll actually say it in my lifetime."

The tall, thin agent took a deep breath, as if a flood had burst forth and was now gushing forth endlessly.

"Actually, I was deeply impressed by the eldest brother's charm when I first took action. His maturity and composure, his solid and strong aura, and the confidence he exuded at all times always gave people a sense of security."

The short agent stared in disbelief, stunned for a moment before saying, "But...I already have a family."

"I know."

"And I'm straight."

"I know that too." The tall, thin agent sighed softly, feigning melancholy. "Alas, I know we can't be together. Fate."

"That's enough."

Vatox interrupted rudely.

"I'm not interested in your stuff. Tell me about your organization, your department. Who do you serve?"

"Tianyan Society, full name Advanced Research Group for Uniting Superhumans."

The tall, thin agent said dryly.

"We specialize in handling superhuman, supernatural, and extraterrestrial-related incidents, monitoring relevant personnel, and eliminating alien targets to protect Earth's safety."

Vatox and Seria exchanged a glance.

really.

This primitive planet also has its own department for handling extraterrestrial affairs. It seems their two incompetent teammates who first arrived on Earth were probably brought down by this department.

No, it's even possible that the Kryptonian woman they're looking for, Kara-Zo-El, also fell into the hands of this organization after her ship crashed.

Then their next goal becomes obvious.

Seria gave a dangerous smile.

"So, this organization you're talking about," Seria chuckled, "where can I find the person in charge of your organization?"

SkyEye, Gotham Area Branch.

A jet-black steel raptor flew in from the sky, and the armed helicopter slowly descended amidst the cacophony of rotors and engine roar. The hatch opened along the rails with a metallic scraping sound, and Nicholson, a high-ranking official from SkyEye, stepped off the aircraft.

Dyson Smith from the branch office quickly came forward, greeting the leaders from headquarters with a broad smile.

However, Nicholson had no interest in his silver tongue; his face remained expressionless and stern as he coldly asked, "How's the task I assigned you going?"

"The matter of the nightmares has been largely investigated," Dyson said. "The culprit is a superhuman, originally a mental patient at Arkham Asylum named John Dee. He gained the ability to enter and manipulate dreams through Arkham's perception-enhancing device."

He called himself Doctor Destiny and claimed to control the entire city with his special abilities. However, the Batman who's currently making waves in Gotham found and subdued him.

"What about public opinion?" Nicholson asked.

"It's all under control," Dyson said confidently. "We've issued an official statement and arranged for several authoritative experts to corroborate it. The names of Dr. Destiny or John Dee will never appear in any media reports."

"That would be best," Nicholson nodded. "Don't underestimate this part of the work. If anything goes wrong, you'll probably have to become a temporary worker."

Dyson, embarrassed, replied, "I understand."

Anyone who makes a mistake becomes a temporary worker; having a permanent position is useless—that's an unwritten rule in the organization. Anyway, the trouble caused by temporary workers has nothing to do with us; we just kick them out and that's it.

"But I'm here for something else, something Director Waller is very concerned about," Nicholson said. "It's about that alien."

Dyson's face fell.

"We are still investigating this."

"So, you're saying there's still no progress?"

Dyson looked troubled.

"We have indeed sent our best people. But as you know, aliens aren't like cabbages; they don't just fall from the sky."

boom!

The words had barely left his mouth when a deafening roar erupted, and alarms blared throughout the base. Both men were startled and turned to see the ceiling had shattered, and a burly, dark figure descended from the sky amidst a shower of falling rocks, crashing heavily to the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.

The tall, burly man smashed through the wall and landed on the ground. He slowly got up, holding a dangerous battle axe that gleamed with metallic luster.

Dyson was dumbfounded.

Seriously? Did my mouth get some kind of blessing or something?

Did it really fall?
