Chapter 84

Spaceship

Chapter 84 Spaceship

The miniaturization device, the key technology for transforming cities into "cities in bottles," is also considered Brainiac's personal trademark. Old Brainiac would fly his spaceship over his designated district, release miniaturization beams from the air to shrink the city and suck it directly into his spaceship along the traction beams.

With this thought in mind, Shen You's armor suddenly spun 180 degrees in the air, during which the monitor in front of him quickly locked onto the robots surrounding him.

The shoulder magazine popped open, and all three rows of micro-warheads ignited, whistling toward each locked target under the guidance of AI auto-aiming.

A series of booming sounds and continuous explosions followed, as the skeleton machine exploded one after another like fireworks in the sky under the bombardment of bullets.

This is a technology that Shen You just updated last week: a miniature version of the Specium warhead.

Because while the previous Specium warhead was powerful, it didn't require that level of firepower to deal with ordinary enemies, and in most cases the damage was excessive.

The design goal of this small warhead is to engage in large-scale battles. It can load eighteen rounds at once, each mixed with Specium material, achieving maximum firepower while being condensed to the smallest possible volume, making it a powerful tool for instantly clearing out enemy troops.

"Wow, this is amazing!" Kara's eyes lit up.

"Ammunition is limited; we only have one round left with this move."

After temporarily clearing out the remaining enemies in the area, Shen You quickly flew over.

As Shen You spoke, he handed over the bracelet. A ripple of space appeared, and three transparent cone-shaped crystals emerged from the bracelet's space.

"Ah, Kryptonian crystals." Kara, a native Kryptonian girl, recognized the technology at a glance.

"Yes, I accomplished it using Kryptonian technology," Shen You said. "To make a long story short, I won't explain the principles. In short, Brainiac's spaceship is already in low Earth orbit, and he should be arriving in Metropolis soon."

He will release micro-beams to shrink and absorb the entire city.

"Just like he did to Cando," Kara said bitterly.

Kandor was once the capital of Krypton and its most prosperous city, but now it has become a collector's item for figurine enthusiasts.

"Yes, but we will stop him."

Shen You opened his palm, and the armor projected a map of the metropolis, marking three locations.

"We need to set up these crystals at these three coordinates. Once set up, they will grow into 'anti-miniaturization devices' based on Kryptonian crystals within seconds."

When Brainiac releases his miniature beam of light from the air, the device automatically generates a barrier to absorb it.

Shen You paused, then glanced at the two of them.

"Three crystals, three people. What do you think?"

Without saying a word, Superman took one from his hand and smiled gently.

"I feel like I was born for this."

Three afterimages, centered on Lex Industries, flew along the bustling metropolitan streets, their respective coordinates visible amidst the steel-filled chaos.

The sounds of impact and explosions rose and fell, and wherever the three afterimages passed, the skeleton machines along the way exploded one after another, collapsing into fragments in mid-air.

The energy beams of the mobile armor crisscrossed in a dazzling display, their red and blue afterimages crashing through like cannonballs, their heat vision unstoppable. Any machine that stood in its way was destined to be reduced to scrap metal.

Meanwhile, a spaceship was slowly entering the atmosphere, propelled by a dark purple tail flame.

From a distance, it looked like a giant, floating skull, its hull covered with mechanical structures wielding metal tentacles that writhed like ferocious snakes.

A figure sat on a metal throne in the center of the spaceship and slowly opened his eyes.

His body was half-human, half-machine, with metal components and muscles tightly linked together. Half of his face was covered by a metallic mask, and the mask and the top of his head were covered with circular interfaces that emitted a pale purple light.

Brainiac.

Images of the surface played before his eyes. In three different areas, two Kryptonians and a pair of red and silver armored figures were rampaging through his mechanical army.

But Brainiac remained calm and composed, simply watching and analyzing as massive amounts of data scrolled across another interface, recording information and data.

"Kryptonians experience a leap in ability when exposed to yellow solar radiation. Initial observations suggest that both individuals are still in the early stages and have enormous potential for improvement. Action is recommended to capture the individuals and control them with red star energy for further research and analysis."

He paused for a moment, then his gaze shifted to the other suit of armor.

"Codename: 'Ultraman,' race and origin unknown. No matching race found in any known galaxy. Known abilities include gigantism, body energy transformation, super strength, super speed, interstellar weapon-level energy projection, body reconstruction, dream entry, and geomorphic telekinesis."

It is speculated that they possess numerous unknown capabilities. Their technological system also differs from any known civilization in any other galaxy.

Action is recommended, but further observation and data collection are needed before taking any action. Wait for Gontras to be in position before taking further action.

After careful analysis and summarization, Brainiac quickly made his important strategic decision.

Continue with edge OB.

Anyway, Old Bu has plenty of cannon fodder, and the monster swarm tactic has always been the fundamental tactic of any of his invasions.

The machine army was made entirely from materials sourced from Earth, but it utilized Old Brooks's technology. The entire army cost him absolutely nothing, and he wouldn't care how many were destroyed.

For lower-level civilizations, simply overwhelming them with sheer numbers is often enough to take them down. More advanced civilizations can also use these free cannon fodder to disrupt the opponent's rhythm and force them to make a move. This allows Old Bu to take the opportunity to analyze and understand the opponent, so that when he personally intervenes, he can draw upon his vast knowledge to find the optimal solution and prescribe the right remedy.

While the minions pushed up the lane, he sat back at the fountain to direct the battle, his tactics were incredibly solid.

Do you think you can just follow the internet cable over here and dismantle my fountain?

Just as they were getting into the swing of things, an alarm suddenly went off inside the spaceship.

"System vulnerability! Repeat, system vulnerability."

"Um?"

Brainiac frowned, realizing that things were not simple.

Can a level three civilization invade its own system?

No, it can't be an Earthling.

Could it be...?

The next second, the operating equipment in front of him suddenly started to light up!

Endless radiance shot out from the cold machine, followed by a fist formed in an instant by countless light particles!

Bang.

Old Bu took the heavy punch right in the nose, his head snapping back and flying a long way from his seat.

The light coalesced into a life-sized Ultraman form, which landed lightly. Brainiac, who had been thrown from the seat, rolled a long distance before crashing into the metal wall with a loud bang.

A pale blue energy structure was revealed through the cracked walls of the spaceship, and electric sparks danced on Old Bu's body.

He remained expressionless, mechanically twisted his neck, stood up, and added in a flat tone.

"Log updated. Target codename 'Ultraman,' ability list updated. The observed target can actually follow the signal and attack me."
