Chapter 1775

Pocket Tactics!

Chapter 1775 Pocket Tactics! (Bonus Chapter)

Several hours later, the Judgment, which had been tracking the Argama, arrived near a reef in space.

With his familiarity with the surrounding space and his previous experience sailing on nearby routes, Brad immediately saw through the Argama's subsequent actions.

"Colonel Ming, the Valley battleship is probably trying to use this reef area to shake off its pursuers."

Brad stood beside the tactical platform and pointed to the space navigation map in front of him.

"Yes, that's obvious. But, Captain Brad, what about the Titans' movements? According to our communications when we set sail, Colonel Basque Om should be in a great hurry to retrieve the Gundam MKII. But now, apart from us, we haven't seen any other Titans warships behind us."

He Ming stroked his chin, pondering.

Due to our own actions, the pursuit battle I remembered didn't happen; instead, the Judgment followed the Agama around for a long time.

"According to my speculation, that Basque Om probably intended to observe our actions and use the existence of our Judgment to put pressure on the Valley Battleship, gradually increasing the pressure, and finally setting up an ambush somewhere to kill the Valley Battleship in one blow."

Brad picked up a baton from the side of the platform and drew a large circle in front of the icon representing the Argama.

"And this is precisely the region of space where Colonel Basque Om is most likely to set up an ambush."

"Oh? It seems our performance hasn't satisfied Colonel Basque Om! Or perhaps, if we perform poorly in the upcoming battle, Colonel Basque Om wouldn't mind wiping out our Judgment ship?"

He Ming chuckled lightly and casually teased.

Brad's face was serious, and his gaze was also solemn.

Although He Ming was joking, in Brad's mind, this possibility was very likely to happen.

In his years of ups and downs, Brad had witnessed the Titans' rampant arrogance and domineering behavior more than once.

Finding an opportunity to eliminate allied forces belonging to the Earth Federation Forces might be something other Titans officers might hesitate to do, perhaps out of consideration for Federation military law.

But for Basque Om, the Titans' second-in-command, it is very likely to happen.

Especially considering that he had previously caused He Ming to make a scene because of his own actions, and that "Mavti" had crippled Jelit Mesa's hands, causing Basque Om to be embarrassed in public, this possibility was pushed to an extremely high degree.

"Don't blame yourself! Even without Captain Brad's fault, I would still find a way to give the Titans a talking-to."

Seeing Brad's thoughts, He Ming raised his hand and patted him on the shoulder, speaking softly.

"Yes. I understand. Colonel Ming."

Brad composed himself and then spoke seriously.

"Based on my familiarity with this region of space, it is very likely that the Titans' fleet will not follow the route we have taken, but will instead use a slightly longer route to catch up with us."

"Take a longer route?"

He Ming lowered his gaze, watching the trajectory Brad traced on the tactical platform with his baton.

"At our speed, can they catch up?"

"Theoretically speaking, it is possible. But it comes at a price."

Brad nodded and recounted his knowledge of the Titans fleet of Blue Noah.

“When the Temptation arrived at Blue Noah, half of the Titans fleet on Blue Noah was undergoing routine checks and resupply. Therefore, after the Valley attack, these ships may have hastily canceled their resupply and checks and rushed to attack.” After a pause, Brad moved his baton and pointed to the icon representing the Judgment.

"Even with our Judgment Ship leading the way and tracking the Valley Warships, which can buy them some time, it cannot change the fact that the hasty departure has left these warships unable to sustain their momentum."

"In particular, there is a possibility that the Titans might take a slightly longer route to get ahead of the ambush area and set up a trap."

He Ming stroked his chin, deep in thought.

"So, the Titans only have one chance to deliver a fatal blow to their enemy?"

"Yes. So I think we don't need to rush, or rather, we don't need to rush into the battle. We can just wait and see."

Brad placed the baton back into the groove on the edge of the tactical platform and said in a deep voice.

"This would put even more pressure on the valley. That's not a good thing."

He Ming thought for a moment, walked to Brad's side, picked up the baton, and drew a circle in front of the space where the Argama and the Titans might be lying in ambush.

"Since the Titans are going to such lengths to take the long way, why don't we give them a push and let them experience the thrill of pushing their limits?"

He Ming spoke lightly, but Brad felt a chill run down his spine.

According to his speculation, the Titans arrived at the ambush area ahead of time at some cost and set up the trap. If He Ming's actions blocked the Argama, which should have entered the trap, from entering it, Colonel Basque Om would probably be furious and wish he could devour He Ming alive.

In order to prevent the Argama from escaping, the Titans fleet, which might have reserved even the slightest strength, might pursue and intercept it at all costs.

In this scenario, the Titans fleet would indeed face the predicament of running out of steam, or even crashing on the spot, becoming a drifting coffin in space in a short period of time, only able to wait for other Titans fleets to arrive and rescue them.

But then again, so what?
Brad Noah is a soldier in the Earth Federation Forces, not a member of the Titans.

And now, he is a member of the Punishment Force.

What does the life or death of the Titans have to do with him?
"According to Colonel Ming's plan, the Judgment Ship will launch its attack ahead of schedule."

He Ming put down his baton and nodded.

"It's alright. It's good to get our pilots moving around and getting them active. I'll be deployed too."

"Understood! I will keep a close eye on the Judgment Ship."

Almost simultaneously, on the Argama, Char also came to a similar conclusion.

"Captain. Next, the Punishment warships following behind us may launch an attack. The location is right here."

Henken Beckner glanced at the map, somewhat puzzled.

"According to the map, this is not the best position to attack."

"No, this is the best position to attack."

Xia smiled slightly and nodded towards the area further forward—the reef region.

"The purpose is to catch the big fish hidden here."
