Chapter 1950
Colonel William's Defeat!
Chapter 1950 Colonel William's Defeat!
Utter defeat!
It was a complete and utter defeat!!
When Colonel William was found in the ruins by a special operations team from the Earth Federation Forces, everything he had ever been proud of had vanished.
Even the mechanical beast that he had personally witnessed destroy America's proud Raptor Tactical Machine in just a few blows was no exception.
With a gun pointed at him, Colonel William shouted out his demands for adherence to international treaties and for the appropriate treatment due to prisoners of war.
Unfortunately, the leader of the special operations team that found him retorted with, "We are not from the same world as you, and we don't have to abide by those treaties you talk about!"
After the squad leader finished speaking, he added another sentence as if he hadn't said enough.
"You'd better behave yourself! Otherwise, we'll use the language barrier as an excuse to give you some warnings."
When Colonel William saw the hint of mockery in the squad leader's eyes, he understood.
The people in front of him looked somewhat similar to him, but they were definitely not from the world ravaged by the BETA, like him.
After realizing this, Colonel William finally calmed down and was escorted by the squad through the destroyed defenses and past the piles of hangars burned to the ground. He also saw his subordinates squatting dejectedly by the roadside, being stared at closely by soldiers of the Earth Federation Army.
Overnight, he was defeated.
His proud army couldn't even withstand the first wave of the enemy's all-out offensive!
"What terrible thing happened in this world? Was the terrifying BETA wiped out by this army?"
Colonel William, who was becoming increasingly apprehensive, suddenly had a fascinating expression after passing over a pile of tactical aircraft wreckage.
There was fear, shock, and disbelief.
"The Crimson Troll... the Scarlet Troll!!!"
The real culprit that caused the entire defense line to collapse instantly—EVA Unit-02—knelt in front of them, completely blocking Colonel William's view.
Startled by the enormous size of the machine, Colonel William staggered backwards until a gun barrel was pressed against his back.
"Stand still! Behave yourself!"
After giving a reprimand, the squad leader turned around and saluted the two people standing below EVA Unit-02.
"Sir, the target has been delivered. Requesting instructions!"
"Okay, thank you for your help! Please keep watch from the side for now."
"Yes, sir!"
With a wave of his hand, the squad leader ordered the Union soldiers escorting Colonel William to immediately separate and quickly take up advantageous terrain to create a safe environment for the upcoming interrogation.
It was the commotion caused by these soldiers that brought Colonel William, who had been distracted by EVA Unit-02, back to his senses and noticed the two people standing at the feet of EVA Unit-02.
A masked man and a smiling girl gesturing with her hands.
"You, you are the legendary Colonel Ming?"
Even if Colonel William were slow-witted, seeing this scene, he would be able to understand who the masked man in front of him was.
According to the intelligence provided by those important figures, Colonel Ming should have already left this place.
"It seems you recognize me, and are quite surprised by my arrival. Heh! That prime minister certainly told you quite a few things."
After sizing up Colonel America, who had brazenly spearheaded the invasion after the BETA were wiped out, He Ming let out a disdainful laugh.
Colonel William could easily understand the meaning behind He Ming's slight laughter.
But seeing his pathetic, helpless state, he couldn't muster any strength.
"I, I think, no, I need you to abide by international treaties and treat us appropriately as prisoners of war!"
After a moment of silence, Colonel William could only repeat what he had told the special forces team before, demanding that they be treated appropriately as prisoners of war.
"Corresponding treatment for prisoners of war? International treaties? Geneva Conventions?"
He Ming sneered and pointed in the direction of the northern front. "Do you think your actions can be protected by the Geneva Conventions?"
Colonel William's eyes lit up when he heard that He Ming knew about the Geneva Convention.
But the next second, He Ming's question made Colonel William's face turn pale.
"I...I don't know what you're talking about?"
Colonel William's eyes flickered slightly.
"Still trying to argue? Fine. I have no intention of getting entangled with you. The reason I had you brought here was simply to let you identify whose pile of junk it is."
He Ming ignored Colonel William's stammering and simply pointed to the other side again—the pile of wreckage that had been roughly collected and stacked to one side.
"I don't know what you're talking about. Please abide by the Geneva Conventions!"
Clearly, Colonel William's mental state became agitated upon seeing the pile of mechanical beast remains, a stark contrast to his forceful tone.
“Baron Asura. You must have met him not long ago.”
He Ming's sudden remark completely panicked Colonel William.
"You, how did you know about that distinguished guest... No, I don't know what you're talking about! I don't know anything."
Colonel William looked very flustered, but he was no longer able to hide the origin of the mechanical beast.
"Lieutenant, take this Colonel America to the capital so that His Majesty the Emperor can judge her personally."
"Yes, Colonel Ming!"
"No!! No!! You can't treat us like this!! You should abide by the Geneva Conventions! You shouldn't decide our fate on your own!!"
Upon hearing that he was to be sent to the capital for trial by the young emperor, Colonel William realized something was wrong and began to struggle and shout.
"Quiet!"
The squad leader gave him a signal, and his men immediately gave him a whack with the butt of their rifles, sending the Colonel America to sleep before dragging him away.
"A liar!"
Standing next to He Ming, Asuka, who had watched the whole thing, wrinkled her nose and said angrily.
"They even called Unit 2 the Crimson Troll!! How despicable!!"
"That's because they're afraid of Unit-02 and your power, Asuka!"
He Ming smiled and pointed to himself.
"In the past, the enemy called me Black Wing!"
"Is there still such a thing?"
Asuka's eyes lit up as she looked at He Ming with curiosity.
"Yes. The first machine I piloted was a transforming fighter, with a predominantly black paint job. After several battles on the battlefield, the enemy started calling me the Black Wing."
"Oh? What about your old mecha, Colonel?"
Asuka blinked, her curiosity growing.
"Not on Earth! In the universe, you should be able to see it in the future if you have the chance."
"Alright! It's a deal!"
