Chapter 1969

The Bombing Begins!

Chapter 1969 The Bombing Begins!
It was 14:00 PM.

A series of booming sounds came from above the clouds, echoing through the sky.

Meanwhile, pedestrians walking on the street, their expressions blank, were drawn by the deafening roar and slowly looked up at the sky above.

A series of massive black shadows pierced through the clouds, casting their shadows over the city below. In the strong winds high above, they slowly opened their bomb bays, releasing the ready-to-launch aerial bombs toward the target area.

Suddenly, a barrage of aerial bombs began to fall rapidly from the sky with a whistling sound, slamming heavily into the target area.

Then, waves of fire suddenly ignited, continuously erupting with deafening explosions that shook the surrounding buildings.

Airport runways, military bases, factories, and other important targets could not escape the bombing of these giants flying overhead.

Even research facilities with some defensive capabilities could not escape these bombings.

"Rumble..."

The deafening explosion and the earth-shaking shockwave caused Baron Asura, who was in a laboratory monitoring the progress of Dr. Hell's experimental project, to change his expression and immediately rush outside.

Before Baron Ashura could even regain his footing, a shockwave nearly blew him away, sending him tumbling to the ground.

Baron Ashura haphazardly rubbed his face a few times, then, after brushing aside the scraps of paper blown by the strong wind, he was stunned on the spot.

A huge crater appeared about a hundred meters in front of Baron Ashura.

Baron Ashura clearly remembered that it was a parking lot, specifically for the staff of this laboratory to park their vehicles.

But now?

Those vehicles were either blown to pieces on the spot or set ablaze by the explosion, perishing in the flames.

"What... is this...?"

Baron Ashura paused for a moment, and without thinking, immediately rolled over several times like a dog and quickly left his current location.

Immediately following, an explosion and a scorching shockwave followed, with flying debris tearing Baron Asura's black robe to shreds, revealing his eerie skin with a noticeable color difference.

"Who exactly is attacking us?"

Recently, Baron Asura has been focused on completing Dr. Hell's mission and has not paid attention to the outside world.

Therefore, he had no idea that the Hell United States created by Doctor Hell had already been targeted by the Earth Federation Forces.

"Doctor! Doctor!! If this place is under attack, then what about the underground laboratory where the Doctor is located?!"

Thinking of Dr. Hell's safety, Baron Ashura did not hesitate, and without even thinking about checking the damage to the experimental project he was in charge of, he decisively got up and ran towards Dr. Hell's location.

If the parking lot hadn't been blown up, Baron Ashura would have already driven away.

"Wait! Aren't there mechanical beasts around here?"

Baron Ashura suddenly jolted awake, immediately raising his scepter in an attempt to summon the mechanical beast to take him away.

Under the power of the scepter, the mechanical beast quickly responded to Baron Ashura's call.

However, as the mechanical beasts stood up and crossed the streets, the special forces teams of the Earth Federation Forces lurking around the city also noticed the commotion. "After such a fierce bombardment, they can still run? What are these mechanical beasts made of?"

A member of the special forces team adjusted the protective headband on his forehead, then, holding a pair of binoculars, used the laser pointer function on the binoculars to guide the target of Depp Rogge's heavy high-altitude strategic bomber, while marveling at the sight.

"Didn't you see the evidence? They're monsters, a hybrid of humans and machines. This country is evil!"

These special forces teams were among the first Earth Federation forces to enter the Hellish Federation. While gathering intelligence for the main fleet, they also witnessed just how terrifying, horrible, bloody, and evil this so-called Hellish Federation truly was.

If these special forces teams entering the United States of Hell were all elite soldiers of the Federation Army who were rigorously selected, who prioritized their mission above all else, and who would never consider anything other than their mission, they would probably have been enraged by these inhumane scenes, and then risen up in resistance, exposed their presence, and ultimately threatened the Earth Federation Army's next operational plans.

"That's right! Now, the main force has finally arrived! Captain, what's our mission next?"

Holding up binoculars, the team member guiding the bomber asked a question.

The captain didn't need to look to know that his men were itching to get back to work.

"Just a little longer! Once the MS forces land, it will be our hunting season! Everyone, take this opportunity to supervise each other while changing your headbands! Collect and destroy the old headbands!"

"Yes! Captain!"

The fire was spreading, and aerial bombs were falling continuously.

But the city, despite being bombed like this, showed no panic; instead, it seemed numb.

Even if these continuous bombings did not threaten the residential areas for the time being, and were only targeting various military facilities, factories, laboratories, and mechanical beasts whose whereabouts were obviously exposed, the residential areas should not be so quiet and so numb.

From the video footage transmitted back by the special forces team, He Ming and the others saw the intense numbness, as well as the masked figures who, startled by the bombing, walked along the streets like zombies in the next moment.

"This is the damned United States of Hell!"

Kenneth couldn't hold back any longer and slammed his fist on the armrest of the chair.

"A devil that turns people into ghosts!"

"Colonel, next, we..."

"After completing the suppression mission at the target facilities as originally planned, we will assist the residents to regain their senses while ensuring our own safety."

He Ming nodded, stating the order that had already been decided.

The Earth Federation Forces do not want to engage in a bloody war with these walking corpses, but if they are simply following orders and continuing their daily activities without threatening the lives of the soldiers, the Chabro headquarters is willing to assist them in regaining their senses.

After all, this is one of the reasons for declaring war.

High in the sky, the first batch of Depp Rogge heavy high-altitude strategic bombers had completed their bombing mission and were preparing to return. The next wave of attacks, however, was to be carried out by the surface warships of each fleet, using carrier-based aircraft and naval guns to clear a safe area for the subsequent landing forces.

So far, despite the bombers sweeping across the city, there have been no signs of air defense, anti-ship, or anti-landing measures in the city controlled by Dr. Hell.

The city's defenses were unusually quiet.
