Chapter 25

My Secret with Malfoy

Chapter 25 My Secret with Malfoy

"Okay... alright, let's... start class now."

Quirrell picked up his textbook, randomly flipped to the first chapter, and began to read it haltingly, regardless of whether the young wizards in the class were paying attention.

This is Defense Against the Dark Arts class?

Brother, you're an undercover agent!

You're not even as good a teacher as Professor Binns, a ghost. At least the History of Magic classroom doesn't have that weird garlic smell.

Your classes are so bad, aren't you afraid Dumbledore will expel you?

Okay! Judging from the movie plot, Quirrell taught for at least the entire semester.

Andy suddenly wondered why Dumbledore would invite someone like this to teach at Hogwarts.

This is misleading and corrupting young people!

Was it just so that Harry could confront Voldemort directly?

This would serve two purposes: firstly, it would hone Harry's courage and abilities, and secondly, it would test the protective magic surrounding Harry to see if it still had any effect on Voldemort.

However, these are just Andy's guesses.

Or perhaps Dumbledore knew nothing about any of this.

Regardless of whether Dumbledore was aware of the situation or what plans he had, Andy was determined to protect his rights.

Andy tore a piece of paper from his notebook, picked up a quill pen, and wrote:

Hello, Mr. Malfoy.

No offense intended, but I overheard you saying that you want your father to complain about Professor Quirrell.

I agree with this.

We came to Hogwarts to learn magic, and having a professor like Quirrell teach us would be a waste of our precious time.

As a student, I will fight to the death to defend my right to learn.

I know your father is a member of the Hogwarts Board of Trustees, but it would be difficult for him to influence Headmaster Dumbledore's decision on his own.

I think we should do something.

For example, we could unite the students from the four houses and jointly file a complaint. Then, Mr. Malfoy could raise this issue at the Board of Governors meeting, suggesting that Headmaster Dumbledore expel Quirrell and replace him with a better Defense Against the Dark Arts professor!

Although Dumbledore is the headmaster of Hogwarts, Hogwarts does not belong to him alone.

This school belongs to everyone in the magical world, and especially to us students.

We should make our voices heard.

—Ravenclaw, Andy Collins.

After writing the note, Andy took out his wand and cast a spell on it.

Spell Setting: Read and then destroy!

This is a secret letter that cannot be shown to anyone.

It would be fine if Dumbledore found out, but if Voldemort found out, he might cause trouble for Andy after his resurrection.

Andy hadn't read the Harry Potter series after the second year, nor did he know the exact time of Voldemort's resurrection.

If he had the ability, Andy would naturally not mind having a duel with Voldemort—that would at least bring him great fame, which would help him become Minister for Magic in the future.

But if you don't have the ability... then you have to live a life of hiding. If you can't hide in Britain, then you can hide abroad.

So, let the Malfoys handle the matter of offending Voldemort. Not only are they pure-bloods, but they're also incredibly wealthy.

It should be able to withstand Voldemort's retaliation... right?

Putting away his wand, Andy folded the note into a paper crane, held it in his hand, and gently lifted it. The paper crane flapped its wings and flew towards Malfoy.

Malfoy was somewhat surprised to receive the paper crane. He glanced at Andy, and Andy returned the glance.

The two looked at each other from a distance.

Malfoy unfolded the paper crane with some confusion.

At first, he was somewhat dismissive, but he was soon captivated by the content. The more he read, the more excited he became, his face turning bright red.

He's determined to do it!

The thought of joining all the students in filing a complaint against Dumbledore, ultimately leading to Professor Quirrell's expulsion from Hogwarts, would severely damage even Dumbledore's reputation...

How wonderful that would be!

From then on, he would gain immense prestige among the students, become a prefect and president of the student council, dominate Hogwarts, and after graduation become Minister for Magic, ruling the entire wizarding world.

What Voldemort, what Dumbledore? No matter how awesome they were, were they ever Minister of Magic?

"call--"

Malfoy took a deep breath, preparing to read the note again.

Every letter on it captivated him.

The words on the note suddenly changed; some letters disappeared, while others were rearranged to form new content.

"This letter should be burned after reading. Failure to keep secrets is a major taboo in achieving great things. Headmaster Dumbledore has enormous influence and many informants, so remember to be careful."

"Uh..." Malfoy was taken aback.

The note spontaneously combusted without a flame and quickly turned into a pile of ashes.

Malfoy was excited. He quickly tore off a piece of paper, dipped his quill in ink, and prepared to reply to Andy.

As he wrote back, he couldn't help but admire Andy Collins, thinking to himself that this little wizard was truly worthy of being a Ravenclaw.

He is not only courageous and resourceful, but also extremely cautious in his actions.

He is a person capable of great things.

It seems the reason I can't dominate the first year is because I lack a strategist like this!

Malfoy felt that he already had two great generals, Goyle and Crabbe, and if he could also bring Collins under his command, he would have both military and political wings.

From now on, won't we soar to new heights?

Minister of Magic? Dark Lord? President of the World Magical Association?

That means you can be whatever you want to be.

Malfoy quickly wrote a reply, folding the note into a paper crane in the same way and sending it to Andy's desk.

Quirrell, of course, saw all of this.

However, he didn't care at all and couldn't be bothered to care.

He was involved in the momentous event of helping the Dark Lord resurrect, and he stole the Philosopher's Stone right under Dumbledore's nose.

Two little wizards passing notes during class?

Ha ha!

Andy unfolded the paper crane and began to read what was written on it.

Malfoy was even more eager to do this than Andy had imagined; he couldn't wait to launch a joint complaint and get rid of Dumbledore.

Andy glanced at Malfoy; that kid's got guts!

Malfoy nodded excitedly at Andy, leaving Andy somewhat bewildered.

Andy continued reading the letter.

Although Malfoy was eager to start an uprising immediately, he also knew Dumbledore's strength and influence, and that starting an uprising rashly would only result in failure.

He asked Andy in detail about the specifics of the plan and swore that he would follow Andy's plan without any deviation.

At the end of the letter, he also requested to meet with Andy privately and asked Andy to call him Draco.

Like Andy's letter, this letter was also burned after being read.

Once you take the bait, that's it.

Andy's lips curled slightly as he tore off a piece of paper, preparing to write another letter to Malfoy.

Hermione leaned closer and asked curiously, "What are you and Malfoy doing so secretly?"
