Chapter 50

This is what it means to miss life's opportunities

Chapter 50 This is what it means to miss life's opportunities

"A dream?"

Andy thought for a moment and said, "I just really like magic. I want to learn all the magic in the world, explore the essence of magic, and pursue the limits of magic."

"I prefer studying magic to anything else."

The little witch is quite righteous, so topics like immortality, dissection, and forbidden experiments are definitely off-limits.

Otherwise, the little witch would turn around and send Andy to Azkaban.

Hermione nodded. "I see!"

"And what about you?"

Andy countered, "Why are you studying so hard? Is it to achieve some dream?"

Hermione thought about it carefully. What was the purpose of her studying so hard?

To achieve a good result?

The little witch blushed slightly.

"I also love magic; I'm the only witch in my family."

Hermione said a little shyly, "I don't have any dreams yet. Let's talk about them later!"

"By the way, has Malfoy contacted you?" The little witch promptly changed the subject.

What does Malfoy want from me?

Andy was taken aback.

But Andy immediately remembered that Malfoy had said he would come to talk to him privately after getting rid of Quirrell.

"No!"

Andy shook his head. "Maybe he forgot!"

However, despite this, Andy sensed that something was amiss.

Although Andy and Malfoy didn't have much contact, it was actually quite easy to understand the personality of such a child, and Andy didn't think Malfoy would forget this incident.

"That's good!" Hermione breathed a sigh of relief.

The little witch didn't like Malfoy very much, and she also disliked Harry and Ron.

I always felt they weren't good kids.

"Alright, let's forget about these trivial things and get back to practice!" Andy ended the conversation.

……

Since his last conversation with Hermione about Malfoy, Andy had been observing Malfoy for several days.

The kid was still the same carefree, nonchalant type, spending his days with his two henchmen, Goyle and Crabbe, swaggering around Hogwarts.

He acts like he's the most important person in the world.

In truth, for a rich second-generation like Malfoy, there are only two possible life scripts.

Either the male protagonist in a romance novel, who would go through fire and water for the female protagonist, even unto death.

They're either cannon fodder villains in wish-fulfillment novels, specifically there to give the protagonist experience points. They occasionally appear to annoy the protagonist and highlight the protagonist's glorious moments.

That's how it was portrayed in novels and TV dramas from my past life anyway.

Andy thinks Malfoy got a second script.

This kid's gone down the wrong path!

If Andy were to transmigrate into Malfoy's body, the first thing he would do is pursue Hermione and embark on a passionate love-hate relationship with her.

They even have a second female lead, a Slytherin named Pansy Parkinson.

The villainous boss is old Malfoy.

If Malfoy were to pursue Hermione, Harry Potter would instantly transform from a male-centric wish-fulfillment story into a female-centric romance. Even Rowling wouldn't mind altering the plot and killing Harry off.

The cause of death was sacrificing his life for Hermione.

Pity.

Andy sighed. "Harry Potter has now become a novel with a male protagonist and a system, so there's nothing for you guys to do with this book anymore."

This is what happens when you miss a life opportunity!

Hermione is more or less the female lead of the original work. If we look at it from the perspective of a romance novel with a female lead, Andy thinks that he should score at least 80 points for the male lead.

He's handsome, talented, and quite skilled. Although his family background is average, he's ambitious and has some special advantages.

Even if Hermione causes all sorts of trouble, Andy believes he has the ability to handle everything. And this is one of the essential elements of a male lead in a female-centric romance novel.

Andy felt that he had a good destiny.

Whether viewed from the perspective of a male protagonist system novel or a female protagonist romance novel, I am a qualified male protagonist.

Who says time travelers are no match for the chosen ones of different planes?

Defy fate and start by pursuing Hermione!

Based on this, although Andy had a vague feeling that something was off about Malfoy, he didn't take it to heart.

The original protagonist Harry Potter and the current protagonist of the wish-fulfillment novel Andy Collins are both at Hogwarts. With such a strong lineup, how could they not handle Malfoy?

……

Several more days have passed.

As soon as Andy stepped out of the Ravenclaw common room, he smelled a sweet and tempting aroma of roasted pumpkin in the hallway.

Halloween is coming soon.

The castle's decorations changed overnight; pumpkin lanterns floated in every corner, and whenever a young wizard passed by, bats would emerge from the lanterns to frighten them.

Of course, it's also possible that a mischievous ghost will emerge from it.

If an unlucky little wizard encounters Peeves, he might get a fright or get splashed with dirty water.

Professor McGonagall had already warned Peeves that they couldn't use paint today.

Hordes of ghosts roamed the castle, making final preparations for tonight's ghost party.

The castle was filled with a festive atmosphere, but this did not stop the young wizards from continuing their classes.

The professors also jumped on the bandwagon of the holiday.

In the Charms class, Professor Flitwick taught everyone a new spell—the Levitation Charm.

Once you learn the Levitation Charm, you can make pumpkins float.

However, the young wizards can only practice using feathers.

Andy learned the spell after reading the book only once, but the little wizards' performance still broadened his horizons.

Neville was like a dud, Ron was waving his wand like a swordsman, and Harry was slightly better, but could only move the feather a little.

The situation was similar on Ravenclaw's side, but at least they were practicing according to Professor Flitwick's instructions, instead of waving their wands like fools.

Of course, we can't forget the ones we're most familiar with...

boom--

An explosion rang out, but all the young wizards, including Professor Flitwick, remained completely unfazed.

He simply calmly replaced a feather for Mr. Seamus Finigan.

Hermione had practiced this spell before; she simply waved her wand and recited the incantation:

"Yugadim, Leviosa!"

The feather flew into the air under the influence of magic.

"Well done, Ravenclaw, two points."

Professor Flitwick shouted, "Look everyone, Miss Granger has succeeded!"

However, no one wanted to see Andy and Hermione, because that would make them feel like trolls.

Flitwick looked at Andy with some anticipation.

Although he already knew that Andy had mastered the Levitation Charm, successfully casting the spell would earn Ravenclaw two points.

Why not take advantage of a free lunch!

Andy didn't even use his wand; he simply focused on the feather on the table, and then the feather flew into the air.

It's getting harder and harder!

Andy frowned.

As Andy grew older, his magic gradually stabilized, and now it's difficult for him to use magic as he did when he was a child.

However, controlling a single feather is still a piece of cake!
