Snape's Gossip and [Charmsology: 4]

Chapter 8 Snape's Gossip and [Charmsology: 4]

As the end of August approached, the start of Hogwarts school was drawing ever closer. Andy had never imagined that he would actually look forward to going to school.

"I'm clearly a terrible student."

In the bedroom, Andy closed "The Beginner's Guide to Metamorphosis" and placed the book together with the other textbooks.

This past month or so has been arguably the most fulfilling period of Andy's life since his reincarnation.

He reunited with his family and exchanged information about Hogwarts with Ron, George, and Fred. Of course, most importantly, Andy now had a wand and could practice magic without restraint.

When the topic of Hogwarts came up, Andy suddenly felt a headache coming on.

Let's go back a month.

Hogwarts was on holiday, and Andy wrote a letter to Ron, inviting him and the twins to play Quidditch together.

Incidentally, and just incidentally, Andy wanted to ask the twins about the Hogwarts professors' preferences.

After all, it's always important to have a good relationship with your teacher, no matter what world you're in.

Things went smoothly, and we obtained the intelligence.

The other professors are all fine, but the current Head of Slytherin and Potions Professor, Severus Snape, is practically the number one villain at Hogwarts, according to the twins.

Even a fatal curse wouldn't be enough to vent my anger on him.

Andy had some recollection of Snape; in the movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," Snape seemed to have targeted Harry Potter.

However, when Quirrell cast a curse on Harry Potter's flying broom, Snape seemed to have cast a counter-curse.

In short, Snape appears to be the kind of professor with a wicked personality who favors his own house. He would deliberately cause trouble for Gryffindor, but he wouldn't stand idly by and watch his students get into trouble.

With a mix of doubt, curiosity, and a strong desire to hear gossip, Andy asked his mother, Helen, about Snape's past.

Helen was a Gryffindor student.

It's said that the person who knows you best is your enemy; Gryffindor and Slytherin are sworn enemies. Andy thought that Helen should know something about Snape.

So Andy overheard the Hogwarts F4 bullying Snape (wrong).

And so Andy heard the story of Snape taking on the four Gryffindor warriors one-on-one.

According to Helen, Snape was dark-hearted, had a sinister look, was obsessed with dark magic, and showed great magical talent when he first entered school. He also joined the Death Eater youth training program.

Furthermore, Snape even tried to win over a Gryffindor girl, intending to sow discord within Gryffindor and have her join the Death Eaters.

Fortunately, the four Gryffindor warriors joined forces to fight Snape, thus preventing Snape's schemes from succeeding.

"If that's the case, why was Snape able to become a professor?" Andy asked at the time.

"It was Dumbledore who vouched for him. If you ask me, that's how Slytherins are; they'll side with whichever side has the advantage, whichever side is stronger. Maybe Snape was betting on both," Helen said.

The matter should have ended there.

In order to find out more about the secrets of Hogwarts, Andy told the Weasley twins about it and in exchange for information about a secret passage.

But the twins' audacity was beyond Andy's wildest imagination.

When Andy heard about their plan, he broke out in a cold sweat.

Fortunately, the twins promised not to betray Andy even if the incident occurred, which relieved Andy.

"call--"

Andy took a deep breath, stretched, and leaned back in his chair.

During this time, Andy has finished reading four books: Basic Spells - Beginner's Guide, Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration, Dark Powers: A Guide to Self-Defense, and Magic Theory.

Not only that, whenever he had time, Andy would practice magic, asking Kyle and Helen for help when he didn't understand something. In just one month, Andy felt like he could skip directly to the second year.

Kyle has lamented more than once that if he had worked as hard as Andy back then, he would either be the Dark Lord, succeed Dumbledore, or at the very least become Minister for Magic.

Unfortunately, he is no longer the same as he used to be.

The hard work was quite effective. To say that I felt my strength had greatly increased would be nonsense, but bullying Isabel was still a piece of cake.

In the past, bullying little girls required physical force, but now, with just a wave of the wand and a spell, Andy can be happy all day long.

Of course, none of these are the most important things.

"system!"

Upon opening the system interface, the data "Potential Points: 4" made Andy's lips involuntarily curl into a wide grin.

This is the data updated last night. There is no red liquid inside the sphere anymore, not even a drop.

"System, add points!"

When [Charms: 3] became [Charms: 4], Andy felt as if he had been elevated.

This is not an illusion.

Andy did indeed feel some subtle changes in his body.

It's as if casting spells has become simpler, and learning spells has become easier. Some spell theories that were previously incomprehensible suddenly become clear, as if enlightened.

This feeling... is like being a genius.

In fact, Andy had this feeling before; his talent in Transfiguration was clearly stronger than his talent in Spellcasting.

Kyle and Helen both said that Andy was a magical genius, but that was only because of Andy's self-discipline, hard work, and adult-level understanding.

Putting all that aside, Andy is just an average person.

By now, Andy has a general understanding of the data provided by the system.

1是巨怪、2是平庸、3是常人、4是出众、5是天才、6是超级天才、7是…

Okay! Andy wasn't thinking about that much for the time being.

Currently, Andy's talents in spells and transfiguration have reached an "outstanding" level. Coupled with his early start and the self-discipline and comprehension unique to adults, he should have no problem dominating the first-years at Hogwarts.

"So next... it's just a matter of attending classes as usual, and then learning more magic."

For the past few days, Andy has been watching the changes in the sphere on the system interface.

After learning a spell and practicing diligently, the red liquid inside the sphere will grow rapidly.

However, once Andy has mastered the magic, the increase in the red liquid will slow down and eventually stop.

Simply put, the increase in the red liquid was not related to hard training, but rather to Andy's progress.

No progress was made in magic; no matter how long the practice lasted, it was ineffective.

"Learn more magic, then allocate points to improve your talent. Improving your talent will make your magic stronger, thus allowing you to further enhance your talent."

This is a virtuous cycle.

"I'm definitely suited to Snake's style."

"If Orochimaru had had this system back then, what chance would Naruto and Sasuke have in the ninja world?"

It's time to dance with Voldemort.
