Chapter 27

: I made you Thor, not a demolition expert!

Thor stared blankly at his palm.

The large hand, which had been covered in dirt and calluses just moments before, was now crackling in the dimly lit interrogation room, its five fingers frantically switching between flesh and blue-white electrical currents, like a faulty light bulb.

There was no pain.

There is only one strange tingling sensation.

"This...this is Father's divine power?"

Thor straightened up, and that long-lost feeling of expansion filled his chest once again.

He subconsciously struck that pose that he would never forget, even if he lost his memory.

With legs spread apart, right hand raised above the head, palm facing the sky, breath drawn into the dantian, a summons is issued to the non-existent sky.

"Mjolnir! Come!!!"

At that moment, he truly believed that the hammer would obediently fly back into his hand, just like before.

But the response he received was not the cold touch of the hammer handle.

Boom!

A bolt of lightning as thick as a bucket suddenly burst forth from his palm without warning.

That wasn't ordinary electricity; it was high-voltage plasma compressed to its extreme, carrying an overwhelming aura of destruction, instantly piercing through the reinforced ceiling of the isolation chamber.

Reinforced concrete is as fragile as tofu in the face of this blow.

Rock fragments flew everywhere, and steel bars melted.

The entire temporary base shook violently under the impact, and the alarm blared shrilly through the sky.

Splash!

Dust and stones rained down from the sky.

A black umbrella gracefully opened amidst the dust.

Li Ang sat steadily in the chair, listening to the crackling sound of stones hitting the umbrella, as if he were listening to a rain.

"What's this move called? Thunder Dragon's Roar? Or are you trying to save S.H.I.E.L.D. some money on demolition costs?"

He brushed the dust off his shoulder, his tone full of concern for Asgard's nine-year compulsory education.

Thor remained frozen in place, completely dumbfounded.

Rainwater poured in through the hole, splashing onto his arm, which was still crackling with electricity.

There is no hammer.

But this force... is more direct, more violent, and more obedient than a hammer!

boom!

Just then, the already flimsy electronic door to the interrogation room was violently smashed open.

"Over there! The reading is off the charts!"

A woman wearing an ill-fitting raincoat rushed in, holding a strange device that looked like a modified radio.

Jane Foster.

She completely ignored the heavily armed agents around her and the mess on the ground, focusing all her attention on the burly man who was still smoking.

The instrument was emitting a piercing beep.

"Incredible..."

Jane pushed up her glasses, which had slipped off her nose, and stared intently at Thor's arm with her inquisitive eyes.

A few wisps of lingering electric arcs remained, jumping in the air.

"How could the human body possibly withstand such an amount of electrical charge?"

Jane stared at the wildly jumping hands on the dial, feeling utterly on the verge of a breakdown.

"This violates the laws of physics! Living organisms should carbonize the instant they come into contact with this high voltage! Why is your cell structure still experiencing phase shift?"

She rushed up to Thor like a madwoman and reached out to grab his arm.

"Don't move! Let me see your skin tissue!"

Thor was startled by the woman's madness and instinctively took a step back, reaching out to grab the metal table beside him.

puff.

There was no sound of collision.

His hand passed through the thick stainless steel tabletop without any hindrance, as if passing through a layer of mist.

Jane's scream got stuck in her throat.

Under everyone's watchful eyes, Thor lost his balance and sank into the table. Then, he turned into a pool of flowing blue plasma and slid down to the corner of the wall.

The entire room was completely silent.

Coulson had just arrived at the door when he saw this scene. He pressed himself against the door frame, almost dropping his gun.

"A ghost...a ghost?!"

An agent let out a bloodcurdling scream.

Thor reformed into human form in the corner, but he was clearly more terrified than the agent.

He frantically groped his body, slapping his chest and thighs wildly to make sure all the parts were still there.

Am I dead?

Thor leaned against the wall, his face deathly pale. "Is this Hela's kingdom? Why have I become a ghost? I haven't even..."

Snapped.

A coin flew over, spinning.

Thor instinctively raised his hand to block.

The coin passed through his palm without any resistance, as if it were passing through air, and finally clunked against the wall behind him.

Where the coin pierced, a ring of blue electric current ripples could even be seen slowly spreading.

"Calm down, you big oaf."

Li Ang folded his umbrella, walked out from behind the gashapon machine, and looked at everyone present as if they were idiots.

"Dead people don't feel cold, nor do they find that fruit unpalatable."

He walked up to Thor and poked Thor's chest muscles, which were still crackling with electricity.

zizi.

Li Ang's fingers were flicked away, and his fingertips felt numb, as if he had suddenly been shocked by static electricity.

"This is the passive skill of Logia-type Devil Fruits: Elementalization."

Li Ang snapped his fingers. "Simply put, your body is now both flesh and blood and lightning."

"You can switch between the two at any time. Physical attacks are ineffective against you unless the opponent uses Haki or is equipped with Seastone."

"Elementalization?"

Jane leaned closer, her instrument almost touching Li Ang's face.

"You mean he transformed his body into a plasma state? How much energy would that require to maintain? Where did his mass go?"

Seeing that the other person wanted to say something more, Li Ang moved her instruments aside and said, "Miss Jane, the end of science is theology."

After saying that, he smiled and pointed to the gashapon machine next to him.

"Or rather, it's about spending money on in-game purchases."

"As long as you pay, you can flip anyone's coffin lid."

Jane was stunned, staring at the incongruous machine, her worldview reassembling.

Ignoring the female scientist who was practically burning out her CPU, Li Ang turned to look at Thor.

"Don't act like a country bumpkin who's never seen the world."

"Close your eyes, don't look with your eyes, those are mortal organs."

"Use your body, use the current within you to listen."

Thor looked somewhat bewildered: "Listen to what?"

"Listen to the magnetic field, listen to the breath, listen to the rhythm of all things."

Li Ang's voice echoed in the empty room, carrying a strange allure: "In this base filled with electronic devices, you are the only king."

"This is the Mind Web, which we also call Observation Haki in my hometown."

Although Thor wasn't the brightest, the Asgardians' talent in combat and the understanding of power was truly cheat-like.

He took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down.

Close your eyes.

The world has changed.

Countless dense lines appeared in what was originally a dark field of vision.

That's the trajectory of the electric current.

The electrical wires in the walls, the light bulbs overhead, the instruments in Jane's hands, even the communicator Coulson was carrying...

All electronic signals were cheering for him and submitting to him.

This feeling... is wonderful.

It was a hundred times clearer than when I was holding Mjolnir.

He used to be the one who begged for lightning, but now he is the master of lightning.

"I heard it..."

Thor muttered to himself.

"Hearing is not enough, take action."

Li Ang leaned against the table, a can of iced cola appearing in his hand out of nowhere. "That hairline agent is ten meters away from you. Go over and say hello."

Thor suddenly opened his eyes.

Those once azure eyes had now turned a dazzling pale white.

"Sizzle—"

Only a very faint electrical hum could be heard in the air.

Jane only felt a flash of blue light before her eyes, and the strong static electricity made all her hair stand on end.

next second.

Coulson smelled a burnt odor coming from the tip of his nose.

Thor, who was originally ten meters away in the corner, was now standing face to face with him, their noses less than five centimeters apart.

Even the wind pressure from the displaced air hasn't reached us yet.

Teleport!

No, it's moving at the speed of light!

Coulson's perpetually professional fake smile finally crumbled; his pupils contracted sharply, and cold sweat soaked his back.

too fast.

It happened so fast that his brain didn't even have time to issue the command to draw his gun.

"Ha...hahahaha!"

Thor looked at his hands, and the thrill of having complete control made him burst into laughter.

He clenched his fist suddenly.

Snapped!

All the lights in the temporary base exploded.

In the instant darkness descended, only the lightning surging from Thor illuminated the place as bright as day.

He slowly floated up, his feet off the ground, looking down at everyone from above.

His originally wet blond hair danced wildly under the influence of the electric field, and combined with his tattered clothes, it exuded a wild and divine aura that sent chills down one's spine.

The timid and down-on-his-luck prince disappeared.

Instead, a thug with greater power and inflated ambition emerged.

"Mortals."

Thor's voice became repetitive and authoritative, as if it came from all directions at once: "Step back."

He lowered his head slightly, his emotionless, lightning-like eyes sweeping over Coulson before finally settling on Leon.

The awe in his eyes was no longer there.

Rather, it is the fangs of a ferocious beast that has broken free of its chains and is baring at its keeper.

"Now that the power has returned..."

Thor raised his hand, terrifying lightning crackling at his fingertips, a smug smile on his face.

"Then I should exercise God's authority as well."

"Aren't you right, businessman?"
