Chapter 9
: Stark goes on a rampage, pulling in one go! Money power is a superpower too!
"Jarvis, give me an explanation."
In the back seat of the luxury car, Tony's chlorophyll juice cup was crushed and deformed.
In the air in front of him, the holographic projection of the Yamadam belt model was being analyzed for the 10010th time.
The red warning pop-ups filled the entire field of vision like a virus.
[Error: Unknown energy source]
[Error: Physics rule conflict]
Error: Logic not found.
"Sir, although I'd love to save Niu from turning in his grave, the data doesn't lie."
Jarvis's English butler's voice carried a hint of helplessness.
"This thing has an energy output of up to three gigajoules, but it doesn't have any transmission mechanism."
"It's like...it appeared out of thin air."
"Out of thin air? Ha!"
Tony laughed in exasperation and threw the empty cup into the trash can.
"If those scientists were alive, they would be so angry that they would crawl out of their coffins and punch that charlatan."
"What about the conservation of mass? What about the conservation of energy? Did that guy named Leon eat them all?"
He couldn't accept it.
He is Stark, the future master of machines.
There cannot be any technology in the world that he cannot analyze.
Since we can't analyze it, let's buy it, take it apart, and see what happens!
"Sir, it's Miss Pepper on the phone, red emergency."
Tony frowned slightly. "Bring him in."
As soon as the call connected, Little Chili's anxious voice burst out.
"Tony! Where are you?"
"The board just issued a notice that, given your outrageous remarks at the press conference, they are applying to freeze some of your executive powers!"
"And your uncle Obadiah... he's secretly selling off stocks!"
"Let him throw it," Tony replied coldly as he pulled over to the side of the road.
"Only by cutting away the rotten flesh can new flesh grow."
"But Tony, everyone on Wall Street is saying Stark Industries is going to collapse! The stock price has already fallen below the IPO price!"
"Pepper, listen."
Tony opened the car door in a low, dangerous voice.
"I don't have time to play musical chairs with the kids right now."
"Obadiah can run away if he wants; you buy back all the low-priced shares they secretly dumped."
"Where are you right now?" Chili's voice was clearly filled with anger.
"I'm going to buy something, something that can shut everyone up."
Tony got out of the car and looked at the unassuming Gacha Shop across the street.
"beep……"
The phone hangs up.
The afterglow of the setting sun shone on the Gashapon Shop, gilding the unassuming storefront with a golden edge.
Tony strode over, his expression filled with excitement at acquiring the new technology.
Inside the shop, Li Ang was humming a little tune, holding a small spray bottle in his hand, watering a strange plant on the counter.
It was a creature that looked like a garlic clove, or perhaps a baby reptile.
It carried a green bulb on its back, its two big eyes were squinting contentedly, and it made a soft, sweet sound.
"Da~ Na~"
"Drink more, it will help you grow faster."
Li Ang was in a good mood.
Although Coulson was incredibly unlucky, the $10,000 he contributed was worth 10,000 points, enough for Li Ang to buy that Bulbasaur.
4000 value points, not expensive, and it can also be used for home security.
The key is that it feels great to hold, and it can even be used as a mount after evolving into Venusaur. It's simply an essential cute pet for home and travel.
Ring ring!
The shop door was violently pushed open.
Tony Stark, wearing sunglasses and exuding the air of a nouveau riche who's ready to buy the street, strode in.
Welcome!
Li Ang didn't even look up, continuing to wipe the leaves off the garlic turtle.
Tony took off his sunglasses and tossed them onto the counter with a crisp sound.
He glanced around the small shop, his gaze finally settling on Li Ang and the green creature under his command.
"Is this your new product?"
Tony pointed at Bulbasaur with a look of disgust. "A turtle carrying garlic on its back? Or a genetically mutated frog?"
"Da na!"
Bulbasaur suddenly opened its eyes and glared fiercely at them.
"Its name is Bulbasaur, a Grass-type Pokémon."
Li Ang corrected with a smile, "Also, don't mess with it, it has a bad temper."
"Bad temper? Ha!"
Tony scoffed, leaning closer to the green garlic. "Little guy, I can buy you, slice you up, and make you into a salad, or..."
"Da na!"
Bulbasaur suddenly opened its mouth, and the bulb on its back trembled violently.
call!
A light blue powder sprayed all over Tony's face.
"Cough cough! Cough! What the hell is this thing?!"
Caught off guard, Tony inhaled a large amount of dust, took two steps back, and frantically waved his hands to disperse the dust in front of him.
Immediately afterwards, a strong wave of drowsiness washed over me.
Tony wobbled twice, almost performing a sliding knee slide on the spot.
"Hypnotic...hypnotic gas?"
Tony mumbled incoherently, barely managing to stay upright by sheer willpower, "You...you actually dared to attack..."
"It's a sleeping powder, not lethal. The little guy just wants you to get a good night's sleep."
Li Ang thoughtfully handed over a tissue, "I can tell you've been under a lot of stress lately, this is a complimentary sleep aid service."
Tony bit his tongue hard, and the sharp pain brought him back to his senses a little.
He shook his head, forcibly suppressing the sleepiness, and stared at Li Ang with his red eyes.
"Damn it, I don't have time to sleep!"
Tony pulled a neatly folded check from his pocket and slammed it on the counter.
Snapped!
One hundred million US dollars.
Tony's voice was hoarse but filled with the arrogance of money. "This is a bank draft, cashable immediately."
"I want to buy all the technical blueprints for that belt, no matter how it works. I want all the principles, formulas, and material lists! Everything!"
In Tony's view, there is nothing in this world that money can't buy.
If so, it means there isn't enough money.
One hundred million US dollars is enough to buy a small African country and drive any top laboratory crazy for it.
Since gashapon toys are priced so high, it's obviously for the money. He didn't believe that this charlatan huddled in a 10-square-meter gashapon booth could refuse.
however.
Li Ang merely glanced at the check that was enough to drive anyone mad, then extended a finger and gently pushed it back.
The movements were gentle, yet carried an undeniable air of rejection.
"Mr. Stark."
Li Ang put down the small spray bottle in his hand, his smile fading slightly, and his dark eyes became so deep that they were unfathomable.
"There are many things in this universe that are priceless."
"For example, life, time, and... luck."
"You want to use these worthless pieces of paper printed with dead men's heads to buy out the power of all the heavens and myriad realms?"
Li Ang wore a mocking smile, as if he could see through Tony's unease beneath his proud exterior.
"Your money is only enough to buy a ticket to the game. As for whether you can become stronger... that depends on your luck."
"Judging by looks?!"
These two words deeply stung Tony.
Who is he?
Tony Stark!
God's favorite, a genius with an off-the-charts IQ!
He's always the one picking on others; when will luck come to him?
"You mean I have money but nowhere to spend it?" Tony laughed angrily.
Li Ang shrugged. "Rules are rules. One in ten thousand, no cheating."
"Want to get stronger? Then go draw lots. Want to understand the principles? Then keep drawing until you get the blueprints."
"Okay, very good."
Tony nodded, put the $100 million check back in his pocket, and pulled out a Centurion Black Card instead.
He took the card and walked up to the colorful gashapon machine.
"Then let's draw!"
Tony shoved the black card into the POS machine with such force that it looked like he was stabbing an enemy to death.
"Judging by looks, huh? Probability theory, huh?"
"Li Ang, listen up."
Tony turned his head, stared at Li Ang, and a smug smile appeared on his face.
"Give me ten million first!"
"Strip everything out of this damn machine!!"
"I refuse to believe that Stark will be defeated by that damn probability theory!!"
drop!!!
The POS machine emitted a sharp, long beep—the pleasant sound of a large sum of money arriving in the account.
Ten million US dollars.
One thousand draws.
Wow.
Li Ang whistled, his eyes finally showing surprise, which quickly turned into deep joy.
"Big client, I love your rebellious spirit."
"Since Mr. Stark is so sincere, I'll give you a fast track."
Li Ang snapped his fingers.
The previously quiet gashapon machine suddenly began to vibrate violently, and the gears inside emitted a roar like an engine.
The cheerful background music "Good Luck" played at double speed turned into some kind of bizarre electronic dance music.
"What...what's that noise?"
Tony was startled and instinctively took a half step back.
"Don't blink, Stark."
Li Ang leaned against the counter, a bucket of popcorn appearing in his hand at some point, and watched the scene with a smile.
The voice just fell.
Da da da da da da!
The gashapon machine's outlet became the muzzle of a Gatling gun.
Countless colorful gashapon balls poured out of the exit!
One, ten, one hundred, one thousand...
In just a few seconds, the counter was flooded with colorful plastic balls, some of which even overflowed and rolled onto the floor, covering the entire area.
The entire shop was illuminated by various colored lights, creating a bizarre and dazzling scene.
White, blue, and even a few purple lights mixed in...
Tony Stark stood amidst the pile of ocean balls, still clutching the scorching black card, completely dumbfounded.
This...this is way too violent!
"Don't stop, this is just the beginning."
Li Ang grabbed a handful of popcorn and stuffed it into his mouth, mumbling his comment, "Mr. Stark, it seems your unlucky streak is undergoing a severe test."
"If I haven't received any gold after sending out a thousand?"
Li Ang pointed to the mountain of gashapon capsules and revealed a devilish smile.
"Then you might become the first billionaire in our store's history whose face is so dark it practically glows."
