Chapter 56
: The Slaughter of the Punisher! Lightsaber Daredevil!
Hell's Kitchen.
A dozen or so black cars blocked the street, their headlights converging and blindingly bright.
Dozens of thugs dressed in suits were carrying pistols, and there were even two light machine guns mounted on the roof of the car.
Kingpin has gone all out to deal with Uncle Punishment this time.
Squeak.
The seemingly dilapidated shop door was slowly pushed open.
He did not kneel down, nor did he beg for mercy.
Only two men came out.
A man wearing a trench coat still dripping with blood, holding no gun, looked more like an old man about to go for a walk.
The other was a blind man wearing red ink glasses and holding a silver metal rod in his hand.
This bizarre combination startled Scarface for a moment, then he let out a sinister grin.
"You're asking for it! Shoot it through the air!"
Da da da da!
Flames spewed out, and a dense barrage of bullets rained down like a storm.
However, Frank did not dodge.
He stood on the steps, facing the overwhelming hail of bullets, and slowly raised his arms.
"Iron Shield!"
Frank gave a low shout, and his arms transformed into a shield with a metallic sheen.
Ding ding ding ding!
The sickening metallic clanging echoed throughout the street.
Even when rifle bullets hit Frank's arms, it felt like hitting a steel plate, sending up countless dazzling sparks.
In the blink of an eye, the ground beneath Frank's feet was covered with a layer of bright yellow bullets.
"This...how is this possible?!"
Scarface's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets, and the megaphone in his hand fell to the ground with a thud.
Frank looked down at his unharmed arms, the feeling of being invulnerable giving him a sense of complete liberation.
"Is the tickling over?"
Frank cracked his neck, his cold eyes sweeping over the stunned thugs before him. "Now, it's my turn."
The next second, a terrifying scene unfolded.
Frank did not draw his gun.
His right arm suddenly began to wriggle, multiply, and harden wildly.
In the blink of an eye, that arm transformed into a giant biological blade gleaming with a red and black luster!
That's the mimicry ability of the Blacklight virus.
"This is the real battle!"
Frank grinned maliciously, the marble steps beneath his feet crumbled, and he charged into the crowd like a cannonball.
A simple massacre began.
Without any fancy techniques, Frank simply swept the car in half, cleanly slicing the two cars, along with the people hiding behind cover, in two.
"Monster! He's a monster!"
"Run! That's not human!"
Screams, explosions, and the sound of metal tearing were all mixed together.
On the other side of the battlefield, the scene was completely different.
Compared to Frank's bloody ferocity, Matt was like dancing in his own backyard.
In his spiritual pressure perception field of vision, the enemy's soul is as clearly visible as a thermal image.
Even the bullets that were being fired looked like they were in slow motion to him.
"The intention is too obvious."
Matt tilted his head slightly, and a bullet grazed his hair.
Then, he pressed the switch on the metal cylinder in his hand.
hum!
A beam of green light shot into the sky.
Jedi Knights, reporting for duty.
Faced with a burst of bullets sweeping towards him, Matt flicked his wrist, and the lightsaber in his hand transformed into a green light curtain.
Zizizi!
The bullets that could penetrate the walls struck the lightsaber and were melted into molten copper by the high temperature, which then spilled out.
"Your marksmanship is terrible."
Matt moved through the crowd like a ghost.
He did not kill anyone.
Each swing of the green light blade was accompanied by the crisp sound of a gun being severed, or the sound of someone crying out in pain and falling to the ground.
The guns in the hands of those thugs were like paper, cut into neat slices.
Matt even casually used his lightsaber to deflect a stray bullet and blow up a light machine gun on the roof of a car in the distance.
"OMG Fuck..."
As Frank punched the last thug into the hood of the car, the noisy street finally quieted down.
But this is only in relation to the gunfight that just happened.
The streets looked as if they had been plowed by a hurricane.
Everywhere were cut-up car wrecks and bullet casings, and gang members lying on the ground howling in pain.
The blade on Frank's arm disappeared, and he returned to his normal appearance.
He shook the blood off his hands and looked at Matt with lingering interest.
"You are too weak."
Frank pointed to the thugs on the ground who had only been knocked unconscious or had their guns broken, "These scumbags will get a new gun and continue their evil deeds as long as they're alive."
"The only real solution is to send them to hell."
Matt sheathed his lightsaber, his chest rising and falling slightly.
Even with his spiritual pressure perception, this high-intensity battle was still quite taxing on him.
He turned his head and looked at Frank's malevolent soul.
"I may not be able to save their souls, but I will not allow myself to become an executioner like you."
Matt's voice was slightly breathless, but his tone was firm: "That's the difference between us. I'm a lawyer."
"Hmph, naive." Frank sneered, turned around and picked up a fairly intact M4 from the ground, skillfully pulling the bolt.
"Their debuts were fantastic."
Li Ang's voice came from the shop entrance, breaking the standoff between the two.
He clapped his hands, a cryptic smile on his face.
"But I think you should leave now."
Li Ang pointed to the distant sound of police sirens, where red and blue flashes had already dyed half the sky red. "After all, the police usually only come to clean up the mess after the movie ends."
Frank and Matt exchanged a glance.
Although the two had differing ideologies, they were surprisingly in agreement on not wanting to deal with the police.
Frank leaped into the air, using the leg strength enhanced by the Blacklight virus, and disappeared into the night in a few bounds.
Matt nodded slightly to Li Ang, then disappeared into the depths of the alley like a shadow blending into the darkness.
"What a vibrant group of customers!"
Li Ang stretched and turned to Darcy, who was staring in disbelief.
"Close the door, we're closed for the night."
"Also, remember to find a renovation team to fix the road in front of the building tomorrow, and send the bill to Kingpin's building."
……
Washington, D.C., the Tri-Wing Building.
Office of the Minister of the World Security Council.
Pierce sat in a large leather chair, a glass of red wine in his hand, but his eyes were fixed on the screen in front of him.
The video playing on the screen was of the massacre that had just taken place on the streets of New York.
The footage is shaky, clearly taken by an informant lurking nearby.
Even so, Frank's steel-like body, which is impervious to bullets, and the terrifying image of his arm turning into a knife to slice through cars are still clearly visible.
And there's that blind man who deflects bullets with a lightsaber.
"interesting……"
Pierce put down his glass, a greedy glint in his eyes. "What secret does that gashapon shop hold?"
At that moment, a trusted subordinate strode in, holding a top-secret document.
"Sir, this is intelligence we just intercepted from within S.H.I.E.L.D."
The confidant handed Pierce the document, "The latest news on Captain America."
Pierce casually took the document and glanced at it.
Snapped!
The wine glass in my hand suddenly slipped and fell onto the carpet, splashing dark red wine all over the floor.
Pierce slowly stood up, his face showing disbelief and shock for the first time.
"Watfak?"
Pierce's voice trembled slightly as he stared intently at the line of text on the document.
"Steve obtained the drug 'APTX4869' from the gashapon shop, which is said to have the effect of reversing bodily functions and rejuvenating. He has already applied for a private plane to go to the nursing home where Peggy Carter is staying."
"Rejuvenation..."
These four words were like a curse, gripping Pierce's heart tightly.
For those in power, money, status, and power can all be acquired...
There was simply no time.
Aging is the greatest enemy.
If that drug is real...
If that old woman Peggy Carter could really regain her youth...
Pierce's breathing became heavy, and the greed in his eyes seemed to overflow.
This is a million times more tempting than any super soldier serum or Iron Man suit!
"Go, tell Crossbones to steal that medicine from me!"
Pierce growled, "I'm getting that gashapon machine, no matter the cost!"
Even with the utmost caution, he couldn't ignore these treasures that went beyond the reach of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra technology.
His eyes were filled with fanaticism. If he could obtain those powerful items or abilities, Hydra might just be able to rule the world!
"Potions to reverse aging, high-tech lightsabers, and things that can cause mutations..."
"That mysterious shop has something we've been dreaming of. Send someone to investigate."
