Chapter 30

Jane, Kamen Rider Garland! Giving Thor a little shock!

"Can this thing be explained scientifically?"

Jane pushed up her glasses, which weren't actually on her nose; they had been lost in the blast wave.

But that didn't stop her from staring intently at the brightly colored machine with a fanatical gaze, as if she were about to dissect a lab rat.

"Science can't explain how it came to be, but the dollar can explain why it belongs to you."

Li Ang gestured for them to proceed.

"I don't have any cash," Jane replied confidently, her eyes never leaving the machine.

"I accept credit cards and checks," Li Ang said, pointing to the POS machine next to him. "Of course, if you're willing to sign a three-hundred-year-long employee contract, I can give you an advance on your salary."

"Swipe your card!"

Jane pulled a card out of her pocket without hesitation, her movements as quick as if she were snapping up the last discounted item on Black Friday.

drop.

A crisp sound of deduction rang out.

Ten thousand US dollars disappeared.

"Actually, I think you could wash your hands first."

"In my experience, this thing is not only about money, but also about looks, and you have to look cool."

Tony stood to the side with his arms crossed, making sarcastic remarks, but his eyes were full of anticipation.

Thinking about his own bad luck, he really wanted to see how other people were doing.

Jane glared at him.

She is an astrophysicist who believes in data, models, and objective truths.

But everything that happened today...

The man who turned into electricity, the businessman who tore lightning apart, and the pink door that appeared out of nowhere all rubbed her worldview into the ground.

Since that's the case, let's go completely crazy this once in a while.

Jane reached out and pressed the red button.

Click.

The sound of gears meshing came from inside the machine, the colorful light began to rotate, and the mesmerizing background music started playing again.

In such a drafty environment, it seems particularly absurd.

As the music reached its climax, a white gashapon capsule rolled out.

There was nothing extraordinary about it; the gashapon capsule lay quietly at the exit, looking as ordinary as a toy that costs two dollars to play at the entrance of a supermarket.

Jane picked up the gashapon capsule with some disappointment.

"Is this the thing that can give people extraordinary powers?" She looked at Li Ang with suspicion.

"Open it and take a look."

With a professional smile, Li Ang said, "Sometimes, surprises are hidden in the most inconspicuous packaging."

Jane frowned and twisted open the gashapon shell with force.

Bang!

A burst of pink smoke exploded, accompanied by several heart-shaped particles of light.

"Kiva~la!"

A sweet, delicate cry came from the smoke.

Upon closer inspection, everyone saw a mechanical bat, no bigger than a palm, pure white, with large eyes and red wings, hovering in front of Jane.

It looks like both a delicate figurine and some kind of high-tech drone.

"Is this... a pet?"

Jane stretched out a finger and tentatively poked the bat.

"I am Kiva-la! Not a pet!"

The little white bat actually spoke, its voice like that of a haughty little girl.

It nimbly circled Jane once, scrutinizing its contractor. "Hmm, although it looks a bit dull, its skin is not bad."

"Nice to meet you! Please take care of me from now on!"

"Artificial intelligence?" Tony became interested and leaned closer to examine it. "The workmanship is exquisite. Jarvis, scan the structure."

"Don't touch me with your dirty hands!"

Kiva-la disgustedly avoided Tony's fingers, then flew straight into Jane's palm. "Let's transform and teach this bad guy a lesson!"

"Transform...transform?" Jane was stunned.

"That's right! Just say 'transform,' and I'll give you the power!"

The little white bat's big eyes blinked.

Jane's face turned red.

As a rigorous scholar, she had never been this nervous, not even at the Nobel Prize award ceremony.

Why would you shout such cringeworthy lines at a toy bat in front of so many people?

Li Ang smiled. Jian in this world was only in her early twenties, a vibrant age, and she looked rather cute when she blushed.

"To gain extraordinary power, you must pay a price!"

Jianyi gritted her teeth, thinking, "So what if I die?"

"Transform!!"

She shouted it out with her eyes closed.

"Kiva-la! Go!"

The little white bat cheered and suddenly opened its mouth, biting hard into Jane's hand.

"Oh!" Jane exclaimed instinctively.

But the pain lasted only a moment. Immediately afterwards, countless pink light patterns spread all over her body, centered on the bite mark.

A burst of light erupted.

The original work pants and shirt disappeared in the light, replaced by layers of silver-white metal armor.

It was a streamlined armor full of Gothic style, elegant and sharp, yet it did not lose its feminine softness.

When the light fades.

That intelligent female scientist has disappeared.

Standing in place was a female knight clad in silver-white armor.

Her head was shaped like a bat with outstretched wings, her red compound eyes were like two beautiful gems, the armor on her chest outlined a perfect curve, and a Western rapier—the Yalan saber—was hanging at her right waist.

Kamen Rider Garan, reporting for duty.

Wow.

Tony made no attempt to hide the admiration in his eyes; this was the first time he had ever met someone of his own kind.

Jane, the person involved, was in a state of extreme shock at that moment.

She looked at her hands, and the feeling of power they possessed was simply mesmerizing.

Not only her strength, but her senses were amplified countless times. She could clearly hear the heartbeats of the agents in the distance and feel the resistance of the airflow.

"This...is this nanotechnology? Or some kind of bio-engineering?"

Jane's voice, processed by the helmet, became somewhat distorted, carrying a metallic chill.

"That's the charm of gashapon toys."

Leon leaned against the counter. "Kamen Rider Garan, a masterpiece of the Light Clan."

"It looks sexy, but I bet it can't even cover one of my fingers."

A cold snort shattered Jane's self-absorption; Thor had already walked over without her noticing.

Although he was beaten up by Leon and taught a lesson by seastone, it did not diminish the Asgardian prince's innate sense of superiority.

"Come on, shoot here."

Thor pointed to his face, his expression utterly smug. "Let me see if this new toy of yours, worth ten thousand dollars, can give Asgard's skin a massage."

Thor was very confident.

The divine bodies of Asgard are among the best in the entire universe.

Apart from Li Ang, he didn't think anyone else on this planet could hurt him.

"Stark, do you think he's all muscle and no brains?"

Jane turned her head and asked a question.

"To correct you, based on my observation just now, his brain is probably full of high-voltage electricity."

Tony shrugged. He had intended to say something to Thor, but seeing Thor's arrogant demeanor, he immediately abandoned the idea.

"Don't be shy, Jane, give this alien prince a little shock."

Jane took a deep breath and clenched her fist.

Since you asked for it.

"Be careful."
