Chapter 31
Thor, stunned by the beating! The Golden Legend?
Jane didn't draw her sword; she simply took a step forward and threw a punch.
The movement wasn't fast; in fact, Thor's mental perception clearly showed the trajectory of the punch, which was soft and posed no threat whatsoever.
"Too slow."
Thor stood still, not moving an inch, and even tried to yawn.
however.
Just as Jane's fist was about to touch Thor's nose.
"Kivatte!"
The bat on the belt suddenly let out a shriek, and an eerie red wave coiled around Jane's fist.
That's not ordinary kinetic energy; it's a slashing attribute that directly interferes with dimensions!
Thor's expression changed.
He instinctively tried to retreat, to summon the lightning, but it was too late.
boom!!!
There was no dull thud of fists colliding, but rather a roar like the detonation of a high-explosive.
A visible pink shockwave exploded outwards from the two of them.
Everyone felt a blur before their eyes.
Thor, who had just been spouting nonsense, was suddenly hit head-on by a high-speed train, his feet leaving the ground and his body leaving a trail of afterimages in the air.
Bang!
Thor crashed through the base's concrete wall, but he didn't stop.
Bang!Bang!Bang!
Three loud bangs followed, crashing through three layers of load-bearing walls of the base before slamming into the desert outside, kicking up clouds of yellow sand.
A large, human-shaped hole was left in the wall, and you could even see the pink energy sparks remaining at the edges.
The scene was completely silent.
Jane maintained her punching stance; there wasn't even a scratch on that silver-white metal fist.
"This impact..." Jane stared blankly at her hands, "It doesn't conform to the Third Law of Boris Johnson."
"Gulp."
Someone swallowed hard.
"Should I have stopped them just now?"
Tony's lips twitched slightly as he looked at Banner beside him.
Dr. Banner shrank back, looking terrified.
This isn't a researcher; it's a humanoid Tyrannosaurus Rex!
Wait, isn't he also a researcher who can transform into a humanoid Tyrannosaurus Rex?
Kiva-la's stats might not be top-tier, but for Thor, who was half-crippled by Leon and blindly overconfident in his lack of defense, this punch was a devastating blow.
"Cough...cough cough..."
A weak cough could be heard coming from the ruins in the distance.
Thor crawled out of the sandpit covered in dust and dirt, his face swollen on one side, looking utterly ridiculous.
He knelt on the ground, staring blankly at the sky.
who am I?
where am I?
Why are women in this world so terrifying?
That businessman is one thing, but why would a woman treat him like a football?
Father, the central courtyard is too dangerous, I want to go home...
"You controlled the intensity well," Li Ang's voice broke the silence at the right moment.
"So, Miss Jane Foster, are you satisfied with this power?"
Jane deactivated her transformation, revealing a face flushed with excitement.
"This is incredible! What kind of life form is this bat? How does its bite trigger cell mutations? Can it use that sword without armor?"
A barrage of questions came out like a machine gun.
At this moment, she cared more about the underlying principles than the power itself.
"You can study these issues on your own at your own pace."
Jane's eyes darted around, her gaze landing on Li Ang, her eyes seeming to want to strip him naked.
"Boss, can I join your gashapon shop?"
Li Ang paused for a moment, then a gentle capitalist smile appeared on his face. "Of course."
"Our store is looking for one employee, whose main responsibilities include recording data, maintaining equipment, and... occasionally dealing with troublemakers."
"The benefits are excellent, including meals and accommodation. Although there is no social insurance or housing fund, we provide unlimited research materials."
Li Ang pointed to the small shop behind the Anywhere Door.
"Whatever you want to research, it's all here."
Jane didn't even finish reading the contract terms; she flipped to the last page, grabbed a pen, and signed her name.
"make a deal!"
For her, this wasn't just working; it was like entering paradise!
Welcome to the team.
Li Ang put away the contract and nodded in satisfaction. "If Thor dares to flirt in the store again, you're in charge of throwing him out."
"No problem, boss!"
Jane clenched her fist, glanced at Thor who was still questioning his existence in the distance, and her eyes gleamed with eager anticipation.
Eric and Darcy, standing to the side, were completely dumbfounded.
We agreed to study astronomy together.
Why did you run away to work for someone else?
"Boss, can you stamp this as an intern's certificate? I'd like to continue working as Jane's assistant."
Darcy Lewis decisively stepped forward and continued to follow in Jane's footsteps.
Li Ang was stunned the moment he saw her.
Why is this beautiful woman offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal?
"sure."
Eric: So I'm the only one left?
Just then, Hawkeye Barton, who had been standing silently in the corner, quietly moved to Coulson's side.
He glanced at the chaotic base, at the human-shaped hole that had just been smashed through the wall, and then at the room full of powerful figures—
He silently reached into the quiver behind his back and pulled out his wallet, which contained his savings of half a year.
He swallowed hard, patted Coulson on the shoulder, and said with a hint of expectation in his voice:
"Um... Coulson, if I go and try my luck with those gashapon machines, will the department reimburse me?"
"Five shots all in."
Barton spat out the two words through gritted teeth and slammed a crumpled bank card on the table.
Coulson hesitated for a moment, then finally sighed silently.
If he can't get reimbursed, Hawkeye will probably have to go busking on the streets.
Li Ang smiled and took the card, then swiped it on the POS machine.
"Sincerely yours, fifty thousand US dollars."
Patton took a deep breath, like a condemned prisoner about to be executed, and reached for the red button that would decide his fate.
Even if I can't electrify like that alien prince, or wear a mecha like that female scientist, at least...
At least give me a gun with unlimited ammo, okay?
Snapped!
The first gashapon capsule rolled out.
A plain gray casing.
Patton unscrewed it, and inside was a bundle of tiny arrows, no thicker than a little finger.
High-Explosive Armor-Piercing Arrows (20): Originating from a forgotten war dimension, the arrowheads contain miniature concentrated explosives, powerful enough to penetrate the armor of light tanks and detonate from the inside.
"It's alright, at least I'm not losing money."
Barton weighed the options and realized that S.H.I.E.L.D. could also build an arrow with this level of power, though it wouldn't be as small, but it would still be practical.
Tony scoffed, "Jarvis, make him two cases later. Don't embarrass yourself with this kind of low-end technology."
Barton's lips twitched, but he didn't have time to argue with the tycoon, because the second gashapon had already rolled out.
As he moved, the gashapon exploded with golden light!
"A golden legend?!"
