A Family Bound by Fate

Chapter 19 A Family Bound by Fate

Hobart continued to design his own title, the second sentence of which was usually a description of his own authority. He felt that since he controlled the "Disorderly Kingdom", he could describe the authority of the "Black Emperor" + "Judge".

Hobert stroked the armrest of the Iron Throne, a good idea forming in his mind: You are the source and the end of all order!

"The source" refers to the "judge" who establishes order, while "the end" refers to the "dark emperor" who destroys order.

In the third sentence, Hobart sees the clock tower in the "sky," which reminds him of Backlund's famous "Clock of Order."

Although he didn't know if there was a bell inside, his spirituality told him that it must be something very important in the "Land of Chaos".

Got it!

"You are the master of the laws, the one who holds the clock of order!"

Although Hobart doesn't know what the inside of the clock tower is like yet, he'll be able to go in and see it sooner or later as his strength increases.

The three-part title, when put together, means: The Creator in the Shadow of Order;

You are the source and the end of all order;

You are the master of the laws that hold the clock of order.

Next, Hobart conducted routine observations of the two glowing stars. Through these observations over the past few days, Hobart discovered that the middle-aged man on the first star lived in Backlund, while the young man on the second star seemed to live on the southern continent, though he didn't know exactly where.

The middle-aged man from the First Star still lived a life of extravagance and debauchery. Today, Hobert was lucky; through a bill signed by the other party, he learned that his name was Ralph Pound.

Stepping out of the star's perspective, Hobart felt the name looked strangely familiar, but couldn't quite place where he had seen it before.

However, now that we know the other person's name, we should inquire about it in Backlund when we have the chance.

He then went to observe the second star and saw the young man pacing around the room with a pained expression, as if countless venomous snakes were crawling in and out of his face and bare hands. He looked terrifying.

This is... this is a sign of things getting out of control!

Hobart sensed something was off about him yesterday, but he never expected the other man to be about to lose control!

Sitting on the Iron Throne, Hobert stroked his chin and thought for a moment. Although the young man was killing people when he first met him, through his observation over the past few days, Hobert realized that the young man was not a serial killer or a vicious person, and he could try to save him.

He pondered for a second or two and decided to try using the "Power of Order" to help the other party stabilize their state.

Hobert then used the Iron Throne to mobilize the power of order and channel it into the second star.

……

Southern continent, western Bairan, upper reaches of the Hordes River.

The frantic roars echoed in Elliott's ears, his blood churned, and he felt like a balloon about to burst, his reason slipping away.

Elliott didn't know how much longer he could hold on. He was starting to despair. The mad screams had tormented him for years, and maybe it was time to give up.

Just as Elliott was about to warn his companions to avoid turning into a monster and causing unnecessary casualties in the village, a majestic and towering throne appeared above his head.

The throne, forged from iron swords, looked powerful and majestic. A blurry black figure sat amidst a thicket of swords that resembled thorns, looking down on everything like a god, exuding an indescribable solemnity and reverence.

Immediately afterward, Elliott felt the feeling of being out of control vanish instantly, and every inch of his skin and every drop of blood seemed to become more orderly than ever before.

After standing there stunned for a few seconds, Elliott finally came to his senses and quickly bowed, saying, "Thank you, mysterious and great being, for restoring order to my body. May I ask what sacrifice I should offer in gratitude?"

He dared not look up, only feeling the powerful pressure from the other party, and wondering in his heart which mysterious being it was.

If we could send the other person away through sacrifice, that would be ideal. But I'm afraid the other person might have some other purpose, making my life worse than death.

Elliott heard a majestic and solemn voice say, "I haven't looked upon the world for a long time. Tell me about what's happening around you, the reason you lost control, and that will be your sacrifice."

Has it been a long time since you last looked upon the human world? Is this some powerful being from the spirit world? Or perhaps a powerful being who fell into a deep slumber long ago?

While guessing, Elliott respectfully replied, "Yes, sir. I am currently in the territory of General West Baron Anthony, in the southern part of the Star Plateau and the western part of the Pamichi Mountains."

"The reason I lost control was because of a family curse. When every member of my family turned 12, a crazy roar would appear in our ears."

"This roar stimulates our blood, making us half a 'lawyer' pathway Sequence 9..."

The solemn voice interrupted him: "So, you can only alleviate the symptoms of the howling by taking 'The Lawyer's' potion?"

Elliott was taken aback at first, then exclaimed excitedly, "You...you know about this curse?"

Hobert, atop the Iron Throne, thought to himself, "Of course I know! You ask why I know? Because even I, the mysterious and great one, am burdened with this curse!"

Could this be a member of the Heller family?

Hobart asked calmly, "What is your family name?"

"The Balk family!" Elliott exclaimed hastily. "Mysterious and great being, do you have a way to lift the curse on us? We will offer anything you desire as a sacrifice."

Not the Heller family? Or did they change their name and go into hiding?

Hehe, if there's a way to break the curse, I'll use it on myself first.

Hobert continued, "I have no interest in mortal sacrifices!"

He thought to himself, "Just like 'King of the Hill'!"

Elliott quickly replied, "Our family also has powerful demigods. If you can lift our family's curse, we will be loyal to you for generations to come!"

This is actually a "demigod family"! It's quite remarkable that a family with such a curse could still produce a demigod powerhouse.

Hobart suddenly remembered that Christine and his biological father had fought in West Baron, so he asked, "Have you ever heard of a man named Rex Heller?"

Elliott lowered his head even further: "An all-knowing mysterious being, Rex is the benefactor of our people, and the Heller family, like us, suffers the same curse."

"The difference is that Rex was an unprecedentedly strong man, and he had the best chance to end this curse, but it is said that he also failed."

"But Mr. Rex generously shared a lot of knowledge with us about fighting the curse during his lifetime. For example, he told us three ways to alleviate the curse, which we found to be very useful after our experiments."

"He also told us how to use extraordinary qualities to fight the curse. With this method, our family produced a powerful demigod!"

Thank you to [无上地仙2080] for the 1600-point reward.
