Chapter 23

: The Rescue of Bat in Progress

Chapter 23: The Rescue of Bat in Progress

The investigation concluded, and the group returned to the bat cave.

Photos were uploaded to the computer, showing the scenes at the survey sites.

Bruce had a habit of marking key locations with symbols when investigating something, and only his disciples could find and recognize these symbols.

Red Hood Jason frowned and said, "It's incredible. In each location, there's a mezzanine between the twelfth and thirteenth floors. It's a missing floor that can only be reached by using a special sequence of elevator buttons. The entrance to the stairwell is a sealed wall."

Pointing to the photos arranged in a row, Jason the Red Hood exclaimed, "It's obvious that this group has been lurking in Gotham City for a long time, because the earliest building was built fifty years ago, and judging from the environment, half of the stronghold is already abandoned."

The photos feature multiple group photos of people wearing owl masks, as well as feathers scattered around the window.

Dick added, "There were clear signs of a fight at the Wayne Tower stronghold, suggesting that it was a situation where the enemy outnumbered the enemy."

Where Bruce was originally sitting, Allen was sitting.

He rested his chin on his interlaced fingers, feigning profundity, and lowered his voice to mimic Batman's tone, saying, "Considering all the clues, the answer is obvious."

"Gotham City's wealthy, through their agents, approached the Joker, deliberately leading him to one of his hideouts and subtly guiding him to explore more locations. Ultimately, they set a trap at Wayne Tower to capture Bruce alive. I've already figured out who's behind this."

Damian asked urgently, "Who is it?"

Of all the people, Damian was the one who cared most about Bruce, after all, their father-son relationship was a given.

Allen glanced intently at everyone present and slowly began, "Harry Potter!"

"Who?"

Who is Harry Potter?

The name sounds familiar, but I can't recall any information about this person.

"Harry Potter is a wizard at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and his messenger is an owl, so he is the murderer," Allen said seriously.

Wizards have come out.

Why don't you say it was Doctor Strange who did it?

The five main characters felt that Allen was no help and could only act as a henchman in crucial moments.

Before they could come up with a plan, Allen stood up first, excitedly saying, "My children, the King is going out to defeat the evil wizard Harry Potter and rescue Princess Bruce of the Bat Kingdom."

"..."

The five young heroes watched Allen ride his electric bicycle, and only one thought crossed their minds.

Get lost, you lunatic.

……

"On September 8th, Gotham City experienced moderate rain overnight."

Commissioner Gordon, wearing a raincoat, was on the rooftop when he turned on the Bat-Spotlight to summon Batman.

The cold rain lashed against Gordon's somber face.

The number of cases at the police station has increased significantly in the past two days. Batman, who upholds justice, seems to have vanished into thin air. If this continues, Gotham will inevitably fall to the brink of spiraling out of control.

Gordon, as the director, felt immense pressure.

It's a pity I'm in the rain, otherwise I'd like to have a cigarette to cheer myself up.

Gordon glanced at the imposter Batman beside him and asked speechlessly, "Are you impersonating the narrator?"

"And I've quit smoking for several years now."

"You don't smoke?" Allen's eyes widened. "If you don't smoke, and I don't smoke, where will the government's budget come from? Where will the military's budget come from? What you're smoking isn't cigarettes, it's bullets fired at the enemy. I suggest you smoke two packs a day and contribute to world peace."

"..."

Gordon seemed to guess who the visitor was; it must be the mentally ill Batman.

It has to be said that there has been progress; when he actually put on the Batman suit, he gave himself away as soon as he spoke.

"I'm looking for Batman; things are a bit tricky," Gordon said seriously.

"Brother, Batman and Wonder Woman had their wedding on Themyscira, didn't they invite you to the banquet?"

Allen couldn't resist adding a sarcastic remark: "Looks like your brotherhood is all fake."

"..."

Gordon's heart sank. He couldn't count on Batman; that madman was just wandering around aimlessly. He could only rely on himself.

"Gotham City is now under my control."

After saying that, Allen fired his grappling hook and weaved through the rainy city.

Allen actually had a specific plan in mind regarding the search for Bruce.

"Next, let's get creative, cough cough... oops."

Swinging in mid-air, and with rain falling, he swallowed a mouthful of rainwater before he could even finish showing off.

During the daytime.

After careful consideration, the Penguin and the Riddler decided that Alan's suggestion was worth a try.

The first step is to find a cheap and spacious venue, and then hire a professional renovation team to assess whether the renovation can be done according to your requirements.

"Cotter Bay, five themes for trial operation, minimum investment of $300,000, annual rent of $100,000, other props and costumes cost $50,000."

Edward works part-time as a finance officer, calculating upfront expenses.

The penguin said calmly, "That little bit of money is nothing to worry about."

Cobblestone has the right to make such outrageous statements, given that the family fortune he inherited is among the most prestigious in Gotham City.

However, Copeland was an idealistic entrepreneur, not a good-for-nothing playboy.

Of course, his entrepreneurial goal was to create an underground kingdom.

"Leave it to me. With your wealth and my wisdom, dominating Gotham will be no problem."

Edward was initially very confident, but then suddenly felt saddened, realizing that Gotham had gained a formidable rival whose intelligence surpassed his own.

Bang!

A figure burst through the window.

Cobbler and Edward panicked and prepared to draw their weapons to deal with the intruder.

"Penguin Man, Riddler Man, you have failed this city."

The light from the ceiling chandelier shone on the person, whose entire face was hidden in shadow, and a familiar sense of dread permeated the room.

"Batman, you can't do that. We didn't do anything."

The Penguin nervously raised his umbrella, which had a built-in gun mechanism for a surprise attack. He knew the Batman suit was bulletproof, but it gave him a little sense of security.

"Batman, you should wait until we commit crimes before you act. That's not fair."

Edward reached into the drawer, preparing to launch a sneak attack to cover his friend's escape.

Allen, hands on his hips, said matter-of-factly, "Do you understand the concept of preventing side leakage?"

"Allen?"

"it's me."

It was a false alarm. Edward wiped the sweat from his brow and told Cobblestone to drop his weapon: "Don't be nervous, buddy, it's Batman, whom we met during the day."

"That scared me to death."

Cobblestone put down his umbrella, still shaken, and said, "I was wondering if Batman had been keeping quiet these past few days because he was secretly watching us."

Allen casually sat down in a chair and said seriously, "Bat is missing, and I'm looking for him."

"real!"

Cobbler laughed excitedly, "That's fantastic! Finally, there are no more annoying guys getting in my way. Gotham is about to be trampled under my feet!"

He suddenly felt a chill and realized that Allen was staring at him coldly.

"Is Gotham still Gotham without Batman?"

"Is Gotham even worth existing without Batman?"

The two were quite frightened by Allen's whisper.

What are you trying to do?!

You madman, are you trying to destroy a city?
