Chapter 100
The So-Called Composure
Chapter 100 The So-Called Composure
The "angel's" merciless words caused a moment of silence in the room.
The Fool felt he couldn't watch any longer; he had to do something. After a quick thought, he realized he couldn't bear to watch any longer.
Klein relaxed his facial expression, chuckled, and said in a casual tone:
Don't be discouraged.
"Don't forget the code name you chose, and your original intention."
You are like the sun at eight or nine in the morning!
"The Sun" Derrick was taken aback by what he heard, and then looked at Mr. Fool at the head of the table.
The other three also looked at the Fool.
"The Fool" stared at the four pairs of eyes fixed on him in unison. He tried to appear relaxed, but inside he was already screaming like a groundhog.
Where's the audience? Speak up! Can't you see the awkward silence? Let's salvage the situation!
"Mr. Fool is right, Mr. Sun. You heard it too, Mr. Angel said 'now.' As long as you continue to work hard to improve your sequence, I believe you will have the opportunity to get the answer from Mr. Angel or Mr. Fool."
"Justice" Audrey soothed "Little Sun" with a gentle smile.
She was also eager to know the answer, and given Mr. Fool's encouraging attitude, it meant that she could exchange Russell's diary for the answer from Mr. Fool later.
Once she finds out, she can tell "Little Sun".
Although I don't know what concerns Mr. Angel has, Mr. Fool has encouraged him, so there shouldn't be any problems.
"Thank you, Mr. Fool, and Miss Justice."
"The Sun" Derrick can bounce back.
He had even thought that if he wasn't qualified, then the Chief should be.
Mr. Fool's current attitude clearly shows that he is more eager for his growth.
He will not disappoint Mr. Fool.
"Mr. Angel, I will try my best."
Young Derrick was full of fighting spirit at this time.
"I trust you."
"You are the one I have the most faith in in the Tarot Club."
Chael suppressed a laugh and encouraged him.
He is indeed the most optimistic about the future of "Little Sun".
The "angel's" words were too direct. Upon hearing them, Derrick's fighting spirit vanished, and he lowered his head in embarrassment, unsure of how to face the situation.
The "Hanged Man" next to him paid no attention to such childish talk.
The Fool continued to be a "spectator," completely unconcerned except that the "angel's" tone sounded a bit like coaxing a child.
Miss Justice, who was next to Xia'er, heard it even more clearly and pouted slightly.
This audience member realized that the "angel" genuinely believed it.
She was somewhat unhappy and couldn't help but glance at the "angel".
"Little Sun" is good, but is she not good?
"Looking at me won't help."
"He has something you completely lack."
Xia Er didn't hold back at all and directly saw through her thoughts.
"What do I lack? What is it?"
Audrey was taken aback by the directness of the question, and asked with a mix of resentment and curiosity.
Have you ever suffered hardship?
Chael did not answer, but instead asked a question.
Audrey was sunk outright.
Derrick secretly raised his head, then secretly lowered it again.
Alger's lips curled up, and he cleared his throat before saying:
"Mr. Fool, I have collected two pages of Russell's diary this time."
"The Fool" Klein waved, tacitly ignoring "The Angel's" side.
Although it wasn't said, people still had some special feelings towards Miss Justice, who was a "rich person". If Miss Justice weren't young, beautiful, had a nice voice, and was rich, rich, rich, rich, rich, she would have been subject to some ridicule.
Now that "Angels" has suffered a small setback, everyone is actually quite happy to see it.
"Mr. Fool, I also have two pages of Russell's diary."
"That's what Audrey said after she calmed down."
As she spoke, she gave the "angel" a resentful look.
She knew that Mr. Angel was deliberately trying to hurt her, but she couldn't do anything about it because she was the one who asked the question.
But after handing in her diary, she couldn't help but ask in a low voice:
"Mr. Angel, have you ever suffered?"
"no."
Xia Er shook his head. He had reached Sequence 2 while playing around. What hardship could he possibly endure?
"oh."
Miss Justice responded with an "oh," and her gaze towards the "angel" softened.
The Fool pretended not to hear anything and waited for the Angel to hand in the diary.
However, the "angel" did not react at all.
You didn't have any questions for me, so you didn't collect the diary entries, right?
The "Fool" is not an "audience member," but he inexplicably understands.
In fact, not only the Fool, but even "Justice" and the "Hanged Man" almost understood it.
The "angel" never asked anything at the tarot readings, never collected potion recipes, and never collected potion ingredients.
But this does not prevent him from being promoted in sequence.
What does this tell us?
This means that "angels" don't need to help with small things, but they can't help with big things.
He himself has a very strong background.
Klein said nothing about it and continued to maintain his mysterious demeanor. It was best if the angel didn't ask him any questions. He started reading his diary.
On the first page, the emperor's wife is pregnant, the emperor's eyes turn green, the emperor's maid gets excited, and the emperor is seduced by a passionate countess.
As you continue reading, you'll find that adjacent pathways offer interchangeable knowledge, such as the "Generalist" of the Church of the God of Steam and Machines, and the "Secret Seeker" of the Morse Order.
Joining a mysterious organization, the hostile relationship between the Church of God, and seeing the blasphemous stone tablet.
Of course, Xia Er could also guess what the "Fool" was thinking.
But he was also desperate; the patient was poor.
He had to hand in his diary, play along with Mr. Fool's act, and could only ask questions that Mr. Fool knew the answers to. He might even have to hint at the answers and get Mr. Fool to tell him. So why not just not hand in his diary at all?
The two of them reached a tacit understanding: one didn't want to ask questions, and the other didn't want to answer.
"You can begin communicating now."
"The Fool" said, putting away the diary, even though they had just spoken.
"Mr. Angel, I've received information that 'Hurricane Admiral' Zilingus has secretly landed and infiltrated Backlund. I've asked Miss Justice to help me investigate."
"But he's a Sequence 6 Beyonder on the Sailor Path and possesses a powerful sealed artifact. Miss Justice isn't suited to deal with him. If you're in Backlund, or if it's convenient for you, could you offer some assistance?"
Alger looked at the "angel" and asked.
He had pleaded with Mr. Fool, but Mr. Fool's patrons did not seem to be in Backlund.
Hurricane General?
Can you eat something that's wriggling with hunger?
Chael licked her lips.
"Mr. Angel, this great pirate possesses an extremely evil sealed artifact that devours the flesh and soul of a living person every day. Mr. Sun suspects that this sealed artifact may be related to the Shepherd."
"Justice" Audrey helped with the introduction.
She certainly hoped that the "angel" would cooperate with her to bring this evil pirate general to justice.
