Chapter 56
The Wisdom of the Creator
October 7th, Sunday.
Xia Er chose to skip work.
He was originally there to assist Senior Gray. On Saturdays and Sundays, when there wasn't much to do, the two of them had discussed it and decided that one of them would stay on duty while the other could do their own thing, as long as they didn't go too far from St. Samuel's Church.
Both of them had familiar bishops protecting them. Senior Gray was also responsible for intelligence analysis, so she was busier. Xia Er only needed to organize some documents, and she had a very pleasant internship.
School was closed on Sundays, so Hazel didn't have to go. The Macht family lived very close to St. Samuel's Church, so Chael decided to go to the Macht family's house to slack off. She also taught Hazel common sense things like role-playing. It was quite interesting to have another little sister who was not well-behaved but obedient.
......
Monday, October 7.
2:58 PM.
Sitting in his office at St. Samuel's Cathedral, Xia Er wondered how Klein managed to find the time every Monday.
Don't the night watch teams in Tingen work in the afternoon?
Why isn't the gathering time always Monday night? Or Sunday?
"Senior Allison, my stomach is a little upset."
"I'm lying on my desk, clutching my stomach," Xia Er said.
Haha, you feel unwell as soon as you go to work? Or do you also have your period to deal with?
Allison Gray immediately saw through Chael's true nature—that she just wanted paid bathroom breaks.
"Do whatever you want, but don't expect me to do your job for you."
Allison looked at the telegram from Tingen in her hand without looking up and said...
Is there anyone in the Tarot Club who needs to clock in and out, except for me?
After thinking for a moment, Xia Er silently took a box of tissues and headed towards the bathroom.
...
Above the gray fog, a mysterious palace, resembling the dwelling place of giants, stands.
Chael opened her eyes and saw a familiar scene.
"Ladies and gentlemen, have you found Russell's diary?"
"Fool," Klein asked, his hands clasped together.
Xia Er casually tapped her finger twice, then noticed a scrutinizing gaze coming from beside her.
His finger made a subtle eye-poking motion on the table, and the audience's attention disappeared. "Justice" then turned its attention to "The Hanged Man," and Alger instinctively pulled his outstretched arm back.
"I found two pages."
One page.
Alger and Audrey spoke in turn.
One page.
When Xia Er said one page, the audience member's eyes flickered; she had clearly guessed two pages.
"Very good."
Mr. Fool was very satisfied with this outcome.
"We'll do it now..."
Audrey asked somewhat calmly, startling Mr. Fool into remaining still for a long time.
He would rather remain completely still than give Miss Justice a small warning.
Xia Er didn't know when she would be able to be so considerate.
His palm turned over, not touching the dark red pen manifested by "The Fool," but his fingertips touched the yellowish-brown parchment, and he spiritually and quickly edited a page of Russell's diary.
The other two, lacking Chael's abilities, grasped their pens and, with the aid of the gray mist's power, materialized the words.
Klein glanced at "Angel," moved the four pages of the diary over, and began reading.
The contents of Roselle's diary are roughly as follows: While part-time as the Pirate King, I explored a mysterious island. Originally intending to find love freely, I discovered that arranged marriage wasn't out of the question. I really liked the title "Son of Steam." The Church of the God of Craftsmen gave me two choices, and I chose "General Knowledge" to become a plagiarist...
Klein quickly finished reading the three pages of the diary, then looked at the last page provided by the "angel".
On February 21, another attempt to contact Zarathustra was unsuccessful.
"Ever since he got his hands on that Antigonus Notebook, the leader of this secret order has been acting like he's dealing with a thief, appearing less and less frequently. I'd like to get involved and see what secrets these ancient families, remnants of the Fourth Age, are hiding."
Klein's pupils contracted when he saw the contents of the diary. He continued reading, but that was the end of it.
Only one page.
As for the other less important diary entries, Xia Er helped Mr. Fool of Sequence 9 filter them out. The page of diary entries that was originally prepared was also canceled at the last minute because of Miss Justice.
Chael wasn't in a hurry to collect Roselle's diary, since Bernadette probably had the complete set anyway.
Klein was surprised that the Secret Order had obtained this notebook 200 years ago, and that its leader valued it so much.
Zarathustra?
Isn't that also the surname of those great nobles of the Fourth Age?
Fortunately, he still remembered where he was. He put down his diary and looked at the members of the Tarot Club, saying:
"Sorry, I was a little lost in thought."
Xia Er and the others all expressed their understanding and tolerance.
"Justice" Audrey has begun asking questions about the specific details of the role-playing method.
Klein cleverly hinted at using role-playing to aid in the digestion of the potion, based on the contents of Roselle's diary.
Xia'er heard it too, and couldn't cover her ears.
He also owes "The Fool" several entries in his diary for the role-playing method he already knew about, and for the interpretation of the role-playing method.
He would have lost out if he hadn't passed on the role-playing method he heard from "The Fool" to Hazel to transfer the loss.
"You can also use the case of the Antigonus family to pay the fee."
"Or the Zarathustra family."
Klein offered an alternative repayment method at the opportune moment, and incidentally mentioned an old family.
"Mr. Fool, I can answer that question."
"The Antigonus family and the Zarathustra family are both very ancient, with histories that can be traced back to before the Cataclysm and are associated with the second 'Blasphemy Tablet'."
Alger said.
How could there be two such precious items as the Desecrated Stone Slab?
Is there going to be a third piece?
Taking advantage of the concealment provided by the gray fog, Klein brainstormed.
"The second blasphemous slab?"
"Justice?" Audrey asked curiously.
"Yes, the first blasphemous tablet was born in the Dark Ages, an era when humanity struggled under the protection of the gods. The second blasphemous tablet was born at the end of the Third Age, marking the end of the Great Cataclysm."
"The two blasphemous stone tablets are strictly confidential information of the Orthodox Church. I only know that they are related to the way of God, and I don't know anything more."
Alger looked at the "angel" as he spoke.
Since it's about sharing information, the "angels" can't just stand by and watch.
"Both of the blasphemous tablets are related to the Creator."
"It's said to be a relic of the Creator."
"There is no evidence, but the Church of Orthodox God strongly denies this speculation, so I think it has a certain degree of credibility."
"I think about it and then I say it," said Xia'er.
How can you be so self-righteous without any evidence?
Klein's lips twitched. Of course, he knew about the Creator. The Book of Night Revelation recorded that the Creator awoke from chaos, broke through the darkness, created the first ray of light, and then completely merged into the universe, becoming one with all things.
What kind of relics exist?
Let alone whether this mythical creator god exists, how could He have left behind "relics" twice?
How precious must this be?
"Mr. Angel, what the seven major churches deny is not necessarily correct."
Alger felt it was a bit far-fetched.
"Why censor fake news?"
Xia Er sneered. From the moment the comment section was closed, lies had become art.
"Because false information can drive some blind people crazy."
Alger's version was too outdated, so he patiently explained it to Chael.
"Yeah?"
"It's said that humanity was born from the wisdom of a creator, so why don't they draw power from their own wisdom?"
Xia Er couldn't help but laugh out loud.
The wisdom of the Creator? That's all?
