Chapter 29
If I Become the Azure Emperor in the Future
Jason the "zombie" and Tyson the "werewolf" had no objections to their boss's words.
"Sir, do you intend to operate the Huili Party as an intelligence organization and a long-term base?"
"The living dead?" Jason asked after thinking for a moment.
"That's right, we've come to Backlund, we should leave something behind."
Xia Er nodded. Since these two were so obedient, he decided to let them experience what suffocation felt like first.
"As long as we don't disrupt the order of the East District, the authorities in Rune will basically not interfere with our conflicts between gangs."
"Werewolf" Tyr also has some knowledge of the official Rune organization.
He thought this was a good idea; he could take over a gang involved in businesses like silver selling, and if he wanted to kill someone, he could join a gang fight; if he wanted to have fun, he wouldn't have to look for a place to go.
Moreover, they can have gang members gather information for them, which is much better than running around looking for Marich every day.
"Since you have no objections, I'd like to add a few points."
Xia Er mastered the unique ability of "leadership" to spout endless nonsense without any formal instruction.
"Those girls are here to earn money to survive. They give a share to the gang. I don't mind if you have relationships with them, but if you can't control yourself and try to kill, maim, or injure them, I will give you a lesson you'll never forget. You know what I'm capable of."
"If you're here to cause trouble, or deliberately injure our girls, drag them out. I don't need to tell you what to do."
"If you want to make some money, then find a way to do it from outsiders, don't target our own people. What money do you expect a group of girls who are struggling to feed themselves and support their families to have? What pennies could they possibly come up with?"
"Those girls are, in a way, our property. We exploit them; they're starving and skinny as sticks. Would you be interested?"
Chael guided these members of the hedonistic faction to change their way of thinking.
Instead of exploiting our own people, we should think about how to exploit outsiders to provide benefits to our own people.
"For example, if they come, we force them to buy hygiene and protective equipment; if they don't want to buy it, they have to pay five times the price."
Chael knew that his current actions might be condoning crime.
But it doesn't matter. He can't change the world, but he can change the living conditions of certain vulnerable groups in a few blocks...
He can.
"Can you make money selling sex in the East District? Do you even care about that little bit of money?"
"If you want to earn more, then try transforming your business and utilizing our channels, such as selling goods, acting as a middleman, or providing housekeeping services..."
"We make money for them, so we should protect them and help them solve some of their problems."
"Those who send us money, you can do whatever you want, don't worry about not having business. Gangs can also disregard the rules. If you, a Sequence 6 and a Sequence 7, can't even handle a gang, you should go back to the Southern Continent and stop embarrassing yourselves with me."
The eerie green in Chael's eyes intensified. He was not a fool and could not solve the problem by making a wish.
He couldn't build a factory in seven days, provide housing for those women, and guarantee their treatment.
He couldn't change the system of the Kingdom of Rune in a month and fundamentally solve these problems.
He wouldn't take out a loan for a group of unrelated people to satisfy their meaningless kindness.
He only does what he can.
A few words can affect several blocks and the livelihoods of hundreds of people, so why not say a few more words?
Within three days, the nightingales of the Pfizer Party will be able to complete their original work more easily, bring home more bread, see their living conditions improve the fastest, and have the opportunity to transform in the future.
Xia Er was just lending a hand; he didn't owe these strangers anything, and no one should try to morally blackmail him.
"Sir, we agree to everything else."
"But... sometimes, we might not be able to control ourselves."
"The living dead," Jason said, forcing a smile as he looked at the eerie light in Xia'er's eyes.
Jason absolutely supports Chael's philosophy of exploiting outsiders while providing benefits to his own people.
Although he didn't consider these Rune people as his own, the boss's fist was big, and the boss's words were law. The boss disdained to exploit those prostitutes, and he dared not object. But these permissive factions sometimes really couldn't control themselves.
"Werewolf" Tyr is even more direct:
"Sir, our strength... might tear them to shreds if we're not careful."
Seeing their reactions, Xia Er wasn't angry; he simply got up slowly from his chair.
"During the full moon, I will be watching over you, or you can go elsewhere and find those who also crave sin and desire at night and tear them apart."
"Normally, if you tear a nightingale apart, I will sacrifice your blood once."
"With your regenerative abilities, even if your skin is peeled off, you won't die; you'll recover in time."
"As long as you have fear in your heart, I believe you will resist the desires in your heart."
"If you don't obey, I'll use your special abilities to replace them with obedient ones."
He slowly raised his hand, and signs of decay appeared on the skin of the two dark creatures, the undead and the werewolf.
This is just a warning.
"Sir Steve, we will comply with your request."
"But I don't understand, why do you want to...aren't we hedonists?"
Tyson, the "Werewolf," looked at Steve with a puzzled expression.
"Serves you right for still being a Sequence 7."
"Jason, do you need me to answer that too?"
Shael cursed at the werewolf, then looked at "zombie" Jason.
"Sir, do you expect us to exercise restraint while indulging, in order to reduce the risk of losing control and becoming inhuman?"
"The Living Dead" Jason, seeing Shael testing him, pondered Shael's intentions and said.
"Yes, the Temperance faction is foolish, but they have given birth to angels, so they are not entirely useless."
"During the full moon, those who choose restraint will lose their power if they choose repression, while those who choose indulgence will become monsters."
"If you become a vengeful spirit too many times, it's very likely that during one of the full moons, you'll become a real vengeful spirit and lose everything."
"That idiot Señor, don't be fooled by his current glory. If he were to become a demigod, he would most likely lose control."
"The core of the hedonistic school is not complete indulgence of desire, but rather using the power of desire and learning to control it. If one is completely corrupted by desire, becomes a monster, and loses humanity, then what is the joy of living?"
"Do you want to become corpses you control, or monsters transformed by werewolves?"
Xia Er looked at his two subordinates and asked.
The two men exchanged a glance, both understanding each other's thoughts: their boss was in a bad mood, so it was best not to cause trouble.
The boss is competing with "Blood General" for the chance to become a demigod. Anyone who dares to say that "Blood General's" indulgent approach is better will definitely be beaten to death by the boss.
After establishing the basic understanding that being the leader was the right thing to do, the two began to reflect on their lives over the years. "Werewolf" Tyrell also discovered that "Zombie" Jason's promotion was faster, which seemed to make sense.
The two men glanced at the corpse lying on the ground, which could be easily manipulated, and thought of their own dazed state during the full moon. They couldn't help but feel a little scared.
They haven't lived enough yet; who would want to become such a monster?
Since the boss doesn't forbid them from enjoying themselves, they should try to restrain themselves as much as possible when indulging, just for the sake of their own lives.
"If you have no objections, then get out."
If you have any objections, then raise them now.
Chael switched back to her vengeful spirit form, her figure vanished, leaving only her voice echoing in the room.
If a sequence 6 and a sequence 7 are still not enough to establish some rules for a black market industry in the Eastern District.
Then just die already. What's the use of keeping such a piece of trash alive?
"Wait, sir."
Jason spoke first, and then a ghostly hand grabbed his throat, lifting him into the air like a hanged ghost.
"Sir, we have no objection, we agree. We just want to ask, what about you? Aren't you coming with us?"
When Tyre saw Jason drooling but not daring to struggle with all his might, fearing another beating, he quickly offered an explanation.
"Just do your jobs."
"You can contact me if you need anything."
"Following you guys, wasting time chasing after Sharon, when will I ever get a chance..."
Jason fell from the sky, and Tyre quickly caught him. They no longer dared to ask their boss what he was doing.
They dare not ask about Lord Zartwin's schedule, but do they dare to ask about Lord Steve's schedule?
Lord Steve really will skin them alive as a blood sacrifice.
"This is a pilot project for cultivating faith; if you dare mess it up, you're dead!"
The voice from the void dispelled Jason and Tyre's last doubts.
As expected of an adult, your wisdom and strategy are profound.
