Chapter 49 Returns Again

After leaving the infinitely extending space, Ian chose to return to his room for a short rest. As for Eileen, she wasn't a child, and the stairs were left open for her, so he let her be.

……

Time always slips away unnoticed.

Nearly a month has passed since Eileen last entered the Infinite Extension Space. And it's almost time for Ian to return to Hogwarts.

During this period, he and Eileen had a very fulfilling time. Ian studied alchemy while also diligently researching potions.

Although there has been no substantial breakthrough yet, his long-term dedication has enabled him to accumulate a wealth of basic knowledge in these two disciplines.

In fact, this was also Ian's wish, which was not only influenced by Snape's past teachings, but also by his rich experience in his previous life. "A tall building rises from the ground," this phrase has always been his motto in life.

I glanced silently at the countdown in my mind: 23 hours, 17 minutes, and 36 seconds.

……

Ian didn't plan to say anything to Eileen during this time travel either; it was just a matter of a second's difference.

He just needs to bring the backpack into the house at night. After all, when traveling between two worlds, a spatial device like the infinitely extendable backpack is indispensable and cannot be left out.

More importantly, it's to prevent Eileen from being left in the backpack space. After all, she has stayed overnight in the infinitely extended space a few times before, so Ian must check carefully.

This wasn't due to his personal motives, but rather because of the nature of his time travel.

Ian had previously considered bringing some live chickens or swallowtail dogs from the wizarding world; the former would allow him to enjoy fresh eggs, while the latter could serve as an early warning patrol.

But after he brought a hen and conducted an experiment, he completely gave up on the idea.

Unsurprisingly, he failed. The death of the hen confirmed to him that his transmigration was unique, and from then on, he dared not carry any living objects with him.

And ever since then, Ian has made sure to check the items in his backpack before each time he travels through time.

……

On the other hand, the final night of the countdown was still uneventful.

After dinner, Eileen chose to go back to her room. In a world without electronic entertainment, they would almost always go to bed around 8 or 9 pm.

After the other person left, Ian took his backpack into his room. As time passed and the last second disappeared, Ian's figure also vanished from the room.

Meanwhile, in the North Tower of Ravenclaw, beneath the bed curtains in the bedroom, Ian's figure solidified once more.

"Jet lag is really killing me..."

He grumbled helplessly, then took a small bottle of vitality tonic from the bedside drawer, unscrewed it, and drank it down in one gulp.

Unfortunately, time travel is fixed, and jet lag is unavoidable. So Ian brewed many vitality tonics to drink after each time travel, allowing him to recover his condition.

The medicine took effect within seconds of entering his mouth, instantly transforming Ian, who had been somewhat tired, into a vibrant and energetic individual.

Ian had a plan for each month of his time at Hogwarts, and this time was no exception. His first task was to continue his in-depth study of alchemy and potions.

Secondly, he planned to pay attention to the publishing process of books in the magical world in his spare time. In the month since the apocalypse, he had basically revised the book "Rosen's Fantastic Journey". To say that he revised it was just a matter of replacing some place names to prevent some common mistakes.

Born passionate, yet hidden in the mundane.

Although Ian has a burning passion for magic and a strong desire to explore it, he still has to take care of his livelihood, so he inevitably needs material things. Copying literary works has become a necessary means for him to earn Galleons.

At this moment, Ian took out his pocket watch and checked the time.

早上7:05分,而学校礼堂供应早餐的时间是早上8:00~8:30,第一节课的上课时间是9:00.

Thinking of this, Ian decisively got out of bed, went to the bathroom to wash up quickly, picked up the wand that had always been with him, and cast a cleaning spell on his clothes.

Then, he turned the wand upside down and inserted it into the wand case that was fixed inside the robe lining.

He casually picked up "Standard Spells for Third Grade" and a brand-new notebook from the bookshelf by his bedside, then took a quill pen from the pen holder that didn't need ink, turned around and left the dormitory, gently closing the door behind him.

The first class this morning is Charms class taught by his own headmaster, so Ian has to leave early and can't be late. This is also his first Charms class as a third-year student since his conversation with Headmaster Flitwick.
