Chapter 199
The Rebellious Little Girl
Seeing that Shen Yueling's emotions had calmed down a bit, Yu Heng pressed his fingers on her waist again.
"That's all for now. Think about what you're interested in and let me know anytime." He let go of her hand and took out his phone from his pocket.
Shen Yueling hummed in agreement, then got up and walked towards the bathroom: "I'm going to wash my face."
Yu Heng swiped the screen, found Qin Lu's number, and dialed it.
The phone rang several times before being answered.
"Feeding?" Qin Lu's voice came through. "What's wrong?"
"Bring Qin Ya over tomorrow," Yu Heng said as he walked to the balcony and closed the glass door behind him. "The suit is finished; it's time to resume broadcasting."
There was a pause on the other end of the phone, then Qin Lu's voice rose as she shouted, "Xiaoya! Yu Heng said you can resume broadcasting tomorrow!"
Soon, a clearly defiant female voice came through indistinctly: "I'm not going! I don't want to broadcast anymore!"
Qin Lu's voice came closer to the microphone: "She said she's not going... This child... has been acting strange lately."
Yu Heng narrowed his eyes: "What happened?"
"No," Qin Lu said, "she hasn't really been a nun for the past two weeks."
Yu Heng frowned: "Give her the phone."
"Xiaoya, Yu Heng wants you to answer the phone," Qin Lu said on the other end.
There was a rustling sound, like a phone being handed over, but no one spoke.
"Qin Ya," Yu Heng called out.
"Why..." Qin Ya's voice was muffled, revealing her reluctance.
"Why don't you want to broadcast it?" Yu Heng asked directly.
"I just don't want to."
"Be more specific."
"It's too tiring," Qin Ya said quickly, "and pretending to be cute in front of the screen while dealing with a bunch of perverts is pointless."
Yu Heng listened, and Qin Ya's words were half true and half false. She had never been too opposed to live streaming content before, and she quite enjoyed being a little devil.
This rebellious mentality is definitely not due to the live stream itself.
"Tsk, give the phone to your mom," Yu Heng said.
Qin Lu answered the phone and sighed. Yu Heng continued, "I'll go over there tomorrow night and see what's wrong with her."
After hanging up the phone, Yu Heng opened the door and returned to the living room.
Bai Xinran just came out of the room, carrying bed sheets that needed washing.
She noticed Yu Heng's pale face and paused, asking, "What's wrong? Sister Yue Ling, she..."
"She's alright," Yu Heng said, tossing his phone onto the sofa and sitting down. "It was Qin Ya."
Bai Xinran placed the bed sheet on the sofa armrest, walked over, sat down on the carpet next to his legs, and looked up to ask, "What's wrong with Qin Ya?"
"I don't want to broadcast anymore." Yu Heng leaned back and stroked Bai Xinran's head with his hand.
"The suit is just finished, why don't you want to broadcast it yet?" Bai Xinran tilted her head slightly. "Weren't you looking forward to the new suit and talking about it every day?"
"Maybe he's just tired from broadcasting, acting like a child," Yu Heng said. "I'll go check on him tomorrow."
He actually had a pretty good idea of why Qin Ya was doing this.
For the past two weeks, I've been completely focused on starting my business, and I haven't even had time for Qin Lu, let alone Qin Ya.
The last time I went to Qin Lu's house was at night, and I didn't even get to see the little girl.
Moreover, Qin Ya had mentioned several times that she wanted him to go to the arcade with her, and he had agreed each time, but he always forgot about it when he got busy.
Qin Ya probably feels neglected these past two weeks?
"Maybe it's not just about being tired?" Bai Xinran said softly. "Do you feel... you haven't been paying much attention to her lately?"
Yu Heng glanced down at her; Ah Ling was understanding him more and more.
"Yeah, I guess so. I promised to take her out, but I've been putting it off for too long."
"So how does the master plan to coax her?" Bai Xinran asked.
"We'll talk about it tomorrow," Yu Heng said, sliding his hand from the back of her neck to her shoulder and patting her gently. "We need to smooth out her fur first."
Forcing her didn't work; she really gave up and refused to continue, and all the initial investment went down the drain.
At this point, it's not entirely about the money; after all, the leather case can be used by others.
The main thing is that this little girl has finally gotten a bit better, so we shouldn't let her go back.
"Are you hungry?" Bai Xinran changed the subject, standing up. "We haven't had dinner yet. Shall I go make something?"
"Okay." Yu Heng nodded. Bai Xinran got up and walked towards the kitchen. Looking at her alluring body, he narrowed his eyes. "A-Ling, come here."
Bai Xinran immediately turned around and walked back, stopping in front of Yu Heng: "Hmm? What's wrong?"
Yu Heng reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her two steps closer so that she stood between his legs.
He didn't do anything more outrageous; he just held her wrist and slowly rubbed his thumb against her skin.
"If Qin Ya were as easy to deal with as you, that would be great," Yu Heng said with a smile.
But then I thought to myself, if everyone were like Ah Ling, it would seem like some of the fun would be lost.
Flowers, it's better to have a variety of colors.
Bai Xinran lowered her eyelashes: "Qin Ya is still young, and her personality is more lively."
"Even if you're lively, you have to be lively within the box." Yu Heng released her hand and gently patted her on the side of her hip. "Go ahead, just do something simple, wear an apron and don't get splashed with oil."
"Okay." Bai Xinran turned and went to the kitchen.
-
The next evening, around 7 p.m., Yu Heng arrived at Qin Lu's house.
Qin Lu opened the door, wearing a loose-fitting loungewear outfit and her hair loosely tied up. Her eyes crinkled when she saw Yu Heng.
"Come in." She stepped aside.
Yu Heng changed into slippers and closed the door behind him.
Qin Lu leaned closer, wrapped her arms around his neck, and tilted her head back to kiss his chin.
"I miss you," she said in a low voice.
Yu Heng put his arm around her waist and lowered his head to return her kiss.
The kiss lasted for half a minute, and Qin Lu's hand had already slipped under the hem of his shirt.
Yu Heng was surprised by her initiative today. It seemed that she really missed him. Even Qin Ya's matter had not suppressed her thoughts.
"Where's Qin Ya?" Yu Heng released her, smiled indulgently, and said, "Let's get down to business first."
Qin Lu withdrew her hand and tidied her hair: "She's in her own room. Knowing you were coming today, she hasn't left the room since this afternoon, and she hasn't even eaten dinner."
Yu Heng frowned: "You can't spoil her like this."
"He's been spoiled since he was little," Qin Lu sighed. "If it weren't for Lin Liyan's situation, he would have a pretty good personality. I never hit or scolded him before, but now that he's like this, I wouldn't know how to manage him."
As she spoke, she walked towards the kitchen, took a bottle of mineral water from the refrigerator, and handed it to Yu Heng.
Yu Heng unscrewed the bottle, took a sip, and glanced towards Qin Ya's room: "I'll go check it out."
"Speak nicely," Qin Lu tugged at his sleeve, "She still listens to you."
"I know." Yu Heng put the bottle on the coffee table. "Go back to your room. I'll go check on her. I'll try to talk to her nicely, but if she just won't listen and I yell at her until she cries, don't come out."
Qin Lu opened her mouth, but finally nodded and turned to go into the master bedroom.
Yu Heng walked to Qin Ya's room and knocked twice, but there was no response.
He knocked again: "Qin Ya."
A few seconds later, a muffled voice came from inside the door: "What...?"
"Open the door," Yu Heng said.
"Not open."
"I'll count to three," Yu Heng said in a flat tone, "One."
There was no movement from inside the door.
"two."
Still nothing.
"three."
