Chapter 97

didn't say you couldn't touch it.

The high-speed train slowly came to a stop, and Yu Heng opened his eyes.

He sat up straight and stretched his stiff neck.

"Have we arrived?" His voice was still a little hoarse from just waking up.

"Mmm," Qin Lu responded, her shoulders feeling a little sore and numb.

Yu Heng stood up briskly and extended his hand to her: "Let's go."

Qin Lu offered her hand, which he grasped and pulled up.

She found herself getting used to this kind of contact.

Yu Heng was different today; he wasn't as aggressive, and instead, he made Yu Heng feel gentle and reassuring.

As the crowd disembarked from the train, Yu Heng glanced at the sign and led her toward the taxi waiting area.

The line wasn't long, and they got to the front of the line quickly.

Yu Heng opened the back door and let Qin Lu get in first, then got in himself and said to the driver, "Driver, go to the All Seasons Hotel near the Workers' Stadium."

The driver glanced at them in the rearview mirror and replied, "Okay."

Qin Lu's hand was held by Yu Heng and placed on his lap.

He unconsciously stroked the back of her hand with his thumb, his gaze fixed on the window, as if trying to discern the route.

The car stopped in front of the hotel. Yu Heng paid the fare, got out, and went around to the other side to open the door for Qin Lu.

Stepping into the lobby, you are greeted by a wave of warmth, and the lights are a bit dazzling.

A young woman was sitting at the front desk, looking down at her phone.

Yu Heng walked over and tapped his fingers on the table.

The girl looked up, a professional smile on her face: "Hello, do you have a reservation?"

"No," Yu Heng said. "Are there any rooms available right now?"

"Yes, we do." The girl tapped something on the computer. "Would you prefer a standard room or a double room?"

"A large bed."

Qin Lu stood half a step away from him, originally intending to suggest booking two rooms or a standard room.

But then I feel it's a bit pretentious. Wouldn't a standard room be more appropriate?

It's just self-deception. We've already slept together, why would we care about sharing a double room?

"Okay, please show your ID cards."

Yu Heng took out his wallet from his pocket, pulled out his ID card and handed it over, then turned to look at Qin Lu.

Qin Lu pursed her lips and took out her ID card from her handbag.

The girl took it and scanned it on the device to register.

Although the other person's expression and tone were very professional, Qin Lu always felt that there was speculation and scrutiny in their eyes.

An older woman and a younger man, booking a double room late at night—the story is almost self-evident.

"The room is on the 12th floor, 1207. Here's the room key. The elevator is over there." The girl handed back her ID card and room key together. "Have a pleasant stay."

"Thank you." Yu Heng took it, turned around, put his arm around Qin Lu's waist, and led her towards the elevator.

This intimate contact in public made her feel uneasy.

Before, it was at home, in the office, and even though she went to her home many times that night, it was always in a private space.

From this afternoon until now, they have been openly and without any attempt to hide it.

Even though no one knew, her feeling was still strange about booking a hotel room so brazenly.

This feeling is like being given a stimulant.

She even wondered if she would have the energy to watch the game tomorrow after tonight.

The elevator began to ascend, and Qin Lu stared at the floor display screen as the numbers jumped.

"Nervous?" Yu Heng suddenly asked.

Qin Lu snapped out of her daze and glanced at him: "No."

"Then relax," Yu Heng turned to look at her, "This isn't your first time staying in a hotel, is it?"

"Otherwise what?" Qin Lu subconsciously relaxed her shoulders. "Why would I come to this place for no reason?"

Yu Heng walked ahead with the room key in hand, and Qin Lu followed behind.

The corridor was covered with dark carpet, so it made almost no sound when you stepped on it.

He swiped his card to open the door and then casually inserted the card to get electricity.

The room lights came on, revealing a standard double room layout.

He tossed his backpack onto the chair by the window and turned to look at Qin Lu.

She was still standing at the door, holding the doorknob, but didn't come in.

"What are you standing there for?" Yu Heng walked over, pulled her inside, and closed the door behind him.

Once the door was locked, Qin Lu was finally inside the room.

"Oh dear..." She walked to the bedside and sat down. The mattress was just the right firmness and it was quite comfortable to sit on.

Yu Heng walked to the window, pulled back the curtains, and glanced out.

Outside is the night view of the capital, and in the distance, the outline of the Workers' Stadium can be seen, lit up.

"It's alright, the view is good," he said, drawing the curtains. "The height of the tatami mats is just right too."

Qin Lu understood the implication in his words and couldn't help but purse her lips.

The room quieted down, and she felt her throat was a little dry. Seeing two bottles of mineral water on the table, she opened one and took a small sip.

Yu Heng sat down next to her, and the mattress sank slightly. She turned her head to look at Yu Heng, and Yu Heng looked back at her.

The two stared at each other for a few seconds before Qin Lu looked away, stood up, and walked towards the bathroom.

"I'm going to take a shower," she said.

"Mm," Yu Heng replied.

The sound of running water came from the bathroom. After a while, the door opened, and Qin Lu came out wearing a white hotel bathrobe, her hair wrapped in a towel, and her face still damp.

She walked to the bedside, glanced at Yu Heng, and asked, "Aren't you going to wash?"

"Wash." Yu Heng got out of bed and walked to the bathroom.

As he passed Qin Lu, he stopped, bent down, and sniffed her neck, saying, "Wait for me."

Qin Lu's ears felt a little hot, and she pushed him away: "Go wash up quickly."

She heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom again and felt inexplicably nervous, even though she had experienced it once before.

She walked to the bedside and sat down, drying her hair with a towel. As she dried, her movements slowed down.

She looked at the big bed, where she would sleep tonight with Yu Heng. She threw the towel in her hand aside, lay down, and pulled the blanket over her chest.

She stared at the ceiling, her mind a jumble of thoughts, thinking about Qin Ya and what her parents had said on the phone that afternoon.

The more she thought about it, the more agitated she became. She turned over and lay on her side, facing the direction of the bathroom.

After a while, the door opened and Yu Heng came out, wearing only a bath towel.

He threw the towel on the chair, walked to the bedside, and pulled back the covers to lie down.

The mattress sank slightly towards him, and the two lay side by side with a distance between them.

After a while, Yu Heng spoke first.

"Relax," he whispered. "I won't touch you tonight."

Qin Lu was stunned for a moment.

"Get a good night's sleep tonight," Yu Heng said. "We have to watch the game tomorrow, so you need to save your energy for yelling."

Qin Lu looked at him, somewhat incredulous: "Really?"

"Really." Yu Heng turned to look at her. "I mean what I say."

Qin Lu breathed a sigh of relief, but at the same time felt a little disappointed.

Yu Heng closed his eyes: "Go to sleep."

Qin Lu also lay flat, staring at the ceiling.

A few minutes later, she asked softly, "Yu Heng."

"Um?"

"Are you able to sleep?"

"I can sleep."

"But I can't sleep," Qin Lu said.

Yu Heng opened his eyes, turned his head to look at her, and said, "Let's have a chat."

"What are you going to talk about?"

"Let's talk..." Yu Heng didn't know what to talk about, "Let's talk about your past."

"What did I do before?"

When was the first time you and your husband did it?

Qin Lu's body stiffened for a moment.

"Why are you asking this?" she said.

"I'm curious," Yu Heng said. "Is that not allowed?"

Qin Lu avoided eye contact: "After the marriage, on the night of the wedding."

Is it really that traditional?

"So what frequency do you use?"

"Why do you keep asking these questions...?"

"Say it!"

"After getting married, we had Qin Ya, but it might not happen for three to five months... After Qin Ya grew up, it wouldn't happen even once a year or two..."

Yu Heng suddenly realized that he, like most people, had a stereotype: that Qin Lu, with her figure and style of dress, must be very open-minded and have high demands.

The reason I won her over was because I was lonely and couldn't bear it after my marriage broke down. I didn't expect that she had always been so indifferent.

Yu Heng suddenly reached out and pulled her into his arms, feeling an even stronger sense of conquest than before.

Qin Lu's body stiffened, and she tried to break free.

"Don't move," Yu Heng said. "Just give me a hug."

Qin Lu stopped moving.

"Yu Heng," Qin Lu whispered.

"Um?"

You said you wouldn't touch me tonight.

"Mmm," Yu Heng said, "I won't touch you, I'll just hug you."

Yu Heng felt very hot; something was changing.

"Yu Heng!" Qin Lu's voice changed.

"What's wrong?" Yu Heng asked innocently. "I said I wouldn't touch you, not that I wouldn't let you touch me."

"..."

She felt she might have been scammed.

"You little rascal..."
