Chapter 21

He bent down and attacked.

My Introduction to Communication Studies class just ended this morning.

Yu Heng was about to sneak back to his villa to catch up on some sleep when his phone vibrated.

When I took it out, it was Shen Yueling.

"Feed?" Yu Heng answered the phone as he walked.

"Are we having lunch together again today?" Shen Yueling's voice came through the receiver.

Yu Heng didn't stop walking, but walked through the bustling crowd in the teaching building toward the west gate: "If you want to eat together, you can come to my place and we can cook lunch together."

There was a two-second silence on the other end of the phone.

"Where do you live?" Shen Yueling asked, her tone clearly surprised. "You're not living in the dorms anymore?"

"Yeah, I rented a place." Yu Heng grinned.

"Where are you?" Shen Yueling asked directly.

"West gate of the school," Yu Heng glanced at the school gate not far away, "Come on, I'll wait for you here."

After hanging up the phone, Yu Heng strolled over to the small cart in front of the school gate, bought a bottle of iced cola, and leaned against the wall to slowly drink it.

Less than ten minutes later, Shen Yueling was seen walking towards the teaching building.

Today she wore a beige knitted cardigan over a simple white T-shirt, and slim-fit jeans.

"Let's go," Shen Yueling said calmly as she walked up to him.

Yu Heng threw the empty bottle into the trash can and led her towards the residential area.

"When did you rent this place?" Shen Yueling asked, following beside him.

"Just a few days ago," Yu Heng said, hands in his pockets, "the dorm was too noisy, and I need a quiet place to do my live streams."

Shen Yueling raised an eyebrow: "Live stream?"

"Yeah, virtual YouTuber," Yu Heng turned to look at her, "like those YouTubers on Bilibili who have an animated avatar."

Shen Yueling nodded and didn't ask any more questions; she did know that.

Yu Heng clicked his tongue inwardly. This woman was still so composed; anyone else would have been bombarding him with questions long ago.

Upon reaching the villa's entrance, Yu Heng took out his key and opened the door.

Shen Yueling looked at the magnificent house in front of her.

The doubt in her eyes deepened: "You rented this place?"

"Yes, I rented a villa." Yu Heng took out the keys and pushed open the heavy front door.

Shen Yueling did not immediately follow them inside.

She stood in the doorway, her gaze sharp as she looked at Yu Heng: "Yu Heng, where did you get the money?"

She knew Yu Heng's family situation: just his mother and his father's death compensation.

There is absolutely no way he could afford to rent a villa in such a place.

The monthly rent alone is probably equivalent to his mother's monthly salary.

Yu Heng had already prepared his explanation. He turned to face her and said, "I bought a lottery ticket during the summer vacation and won 10 yuan."

"Lottery ticket?" Shen Yueling looked him up and down, her eyes full of doubt. "Really?"

"Of course it's true," Yu Heng shrugged. "Otherwise, do you think this money just fell from the sky?"

"Did you tell your aunt?" Shen Yueling pressed, taking a step forward.

"Not yet, please don't tell her," Yu Heng quickly instructed.

"Why won't you tell me?" Shen Yueling's brows furrowed even more as she continued, "Are you hiding something? Yu Heng, where did this money come from?"

Her tone became somewhat serious.

"Oh, come in! Have a seat." Yu Heng invited her in.

Then he sat down on the sofa.

Shen Yueling looked at him coldly and reluctantly sat down on the sofa.

"It's like winning the lottery!" Yu Heng insisted, though he felt a little uneasy; this girl was too shrewd.

"Okay, I'll call Auntie right away. This is good news, we should make her happy."

As Shen Yueling spoke, she actually took out her phone from her small bag and made a gesture as if she was about to dial a number.

"No!" Yu Heng was anxious and subconsciously reached out and grabbed her slender wrist.

Her movement was stopped, and the phone fell onto the soft carpet.

"Let go of me!" Shen Yueling's wrist was grabbed, and she struggled a little, a hint of anger appearing on her face.

Yu Heng was afraid that she would actually call and let something slip.

In a moment of desperation, he used his other hand to push her down as well.

He still held her wrist with one hand, and rested the other hand on the back of the sofa next to her ear.

The two were instantly very close, their breaths audible to each other.

Shen Yueling was firmly trapped beneath him, and her struggling movements suddenly stopped.

Her breathing quickened involuntarily, and a blush quickly spread across her fair cheeks.

She stopped struggling, her body stiffened slightly, and she turned her head away to avoid his overly close gaze.

Her voice was much softer and lower than before: "Let go first..."

Yu Heng belatedly realized just how ambiguous their current posture was.

The girl's soft body was pressed down by him.

His Adam's apple bobbed involuntarily, and he loosened his grip on her wrist slightly, but he did not get up immediately.

Yu Heng made a firm decision.

He bent down and went for it.

This wasn't their first kiss.

I still vividly remember that uncontrolled intimate encounter during summer vacation.

But compared to his awkwardness and panic last time, Yu Heng's movements were noticeably more skillful this time.

"Ugh...!" Shen Yueling was caught off guard.

My mind went blank for a moment, and my body went slightly limp.

After an unknown amount of time, when both of them were somewhat out of breath, Yu Heng stepped back slightly.

A silver thread was drawn out.

Shen Yueling's voice was soft yet reproachful as she stared at her and said, "Are you crazy?!"

Yu Heng looked at her and said, "I couldn't help it."

"Get up first..." Shen Yueling turned her head away.

Yu Heng got up and sat down on the sofa next to her.

"Why won't you let me tell Auntie?" Shen Yueling straightened her clothes.

"I want to use this money to start my own business. I'll tell her when I've made more money and give her a surprise," Yu Heng said.

"Fine." Shen Yueling glanced at him. "So you're not living on campus anymore?"

"I'll stay here on weekends."

"Oh well."

"You're coming too?" Yu Heng looked at her.

"What am I doing here?" Shen Yueling asked, puzzled.

"Come and live with me," Yu Heng said.

"Who wants to live with you?" Shen Yueling retorted immediately, then added almost unconsciously, "You're such a restless sleeper."

Yu Heng chuckled softly, "I didn't say we'd sleep in the same room. You can choose any bedroom you like."

Shen Yueling remained silent for a moment.

How could I have imagined that I wanted to sleep with him?

Her gaze swept across the spacious living room, and she said, "Let me think about it."

Yu Heng stood up: "Shall I show you the room?"

Shen Yueling stood up and nodded slightly.

After touring the villa, Yu Heng glanced at the time: "What would you like to eat? You can cook it yourself or go out to eat."

"Whatever, I'm fine with anything," Shen Yueling said.

"Alright then!" Yu Heng smiled helplessly. "How about we cook two dishes and have rice?"

"Okay, let's talk about it later. It's only a little past 10," Shen Yueling nodded, looked around, and asked, "Do you live alone?"

"That's how it is right now," Yu Heng said, sitting back down on the sofa, "but occasionally streamers come here to broadcast live."
