Chapter 1134
Jerry: I invited my cousin over
In the interrogation room of the temporary base, Cui Ming leaned back against the table, his hands clasped in front of him, his sharp gaze fixed on Lucia and Zara, who were restricted in their movements. His tone was calm but carried a sense of oppression: "Gentlemen, we need to talk."
Lucia and Zara exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with restraint and wariness. They scanned the interrogation room, their gazes quickly settling on Tom, Spike, and Jerry behind Cui Ming. Zara hesitated before speaking tentatively, "Um, may I ask about the cat, dog, and mouse behind you?"
Cui Ming glanced at the three people behind him, a playful smile playing on his lips. His tone was casual yet chilling: "Oh, it's nothing. They're in charge of first aid. If your answers don't satisfy me, I'll beat you to death, then they'll bring you back to life and continue asking questions."
Tom, Spike, and Jerry immediately understood and all grinned mischievously. Tom tiptoed and scratched his mouth, his eyes gleaming; Spike grinned, revealing sharp teeth, his smile menacing; Jerry crossed his arms, his face full of wickedness.
Lucia and Zara were instantly speechless, their faces turning pale. They instinctively huddled together, their fear barely concealed. That smile was nothing like that of a first-aider; it was clearly meant to cause trouble!
Before they could even process what was happening, Tom and Spike pulled out a toolbox from behind them and casually opened it. Lucia and Zara's hearts skipped a beat when they saw it—the box contained a lot of tools, but not a single one of them was related to first aid.
The room was filled with wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and other engineering tools, and even a gleaming electric drill. Jerry deftly plugged it in, and the drill buzzed, its sound particularly jarring in the quiet interrogation room.
Lucia, suppressing her fear, asked Cui Ming in a trembling voice, "Um... Mr. Storm One, these tools have nothing to do with treatment, right?"
Cui Ming leaned back in his chair, his smile widening, his tone as relaxed as if he were talking nonsense: "It's nothing, as long as it's related to disassembling parts."
Lucia and Zara fell silent again, their hair standing on end. They instantly realized that the so-called "first aid" was a ruse; they were going to use tools like the power drill to extract a confession. They exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with despair.
Cui Ming's smile faded, his eyes turned serious, and his tone carried a warning: "I hope you won't disappoint me." After saying that, he turned his head to look at Jerry and gave him a look.
Jerry nodded, pulled a small, old-fashioned telephone from his pocket, and waved it at Cui Ming. Jerry had many relatives and connections; if things really came to a head, he could call for help at any time.
Cui Ming looked at the three little guys, feeling a bit puzzled: he still didn't know how Tom and Jerry had gotten there. He hadn't arranged for them to accompany him beforehand, and these two had suddenly appeared on the battlefield with Spike, even more unexpectedly than Hikari. However, the deterrent effect they had was better than expected.
The atmosphere in the interrogation room grew increasingly oppressive. Lucia and Zara were stiffened by the electric drill in Tom's hand and the wrench under Spike's claws, even their breathing became shallow, knowing that they could no longer hide the truth.
With Cui Ming's interrogation, the situation of Lucia and Zara has become more or less clear.
These two are truly unlucky.
Their planet is peaceful and has no powerful military force at all; otherwise, they wouldn't have been captured by the Muzhen aliens and treated as prey in their hunting game.
Do you think the Muzhen aliens would dare to come to Earth to capture us? Most Earthlings look weak, but many cosmic forces don't dare to provoke Earth easily. That's their confidence.
Even though their explanations seemed reasonable, Cui Ming didn't completely believe them. The lesson learned from their previous defeat at the hands of the Pedan aliens was too profound; he couldn't afford to be careless again.
So, Cui Ming turned to look at Jerry, giving him a clear look. Jerry had just finished his call and put the small, old-fashioned phone back in his pocket. Not long after, a little mouse slipped in through the crack in the interrogation room door. It was dressed in an exquisite magician's outfit, its top hat worn neatly, and it looked very smart.
It walked quickly to Cui Ming, and politely bowed slightly in greeting, its movements standard and appropriate.
Jerry nodded at it, then took a bunch of cheese out of his pocket and laid it on the ground as a treat.
This magician mouse is named Merlin; just from the name, you can tell he's definitely a magician.
Merlin stopped his greeting and turned to look at Lucia and Zara, who were restrained. His gaze instantly became focused. The next second, he raised his hand in a specific gesture and softly chanted a short incantation—Hypnosis!
A pale purple light emanated from Merlin's fingertips, slowly enveloping Lucia and Zara. Their eyes instantly became unfocused, and their bodies involuntarily relaxed, clearly under the influence of hypnosis and having lost their self-awareness.
Seeing this, Cui Ming leaned forward slightly and said in a more serious tone, "Merlin, ask them the truth. What is the situation on their planet? Are they hiding any other purposes?"
Merlin nodded slightly, manipulating the hypnotic glow, and slowly spoke to the two dazed individuals, his voice carrying a magical pull, relentlessly pursuing the core questions. Tom and Spike gripped their tools tightly, standing guard to prevent any unforeseen events.
After a series of hypnotic interrogations by Merlin, he finally concluded that Lucia and Zara were telling the truth. They were indeed just unlucky people who had been captured by the Muzhen aliens, with no hidden motives and no connection to the Muzhen aliens' conspiracy.
Cui Ming breathed a sigh of relief, leaned back in his chair, and softened his tone: "Since it's the truth, then it's alright."
He instructed his subordinates through the communicator: "Go and find out the coordinates of those two planets, contact their leaders, and have them come to Earth to pick them up as soon as possible."
Lindis walked into the interrogation room at this moment, and nodded in agreement upon hearing this: "We really need to have them come and pick us up as soon as possible. Earth is not a safe place. If we stay here any longer, we might just die suddenly one day."
Cui Ming glanced at the two who were still under hypnosis and added casually, "After all, Earth is a big stage, and you can only come here if you're given the right to! There are far more dangers hidden here than with the Muzhen Star people. If they stayed on Earth with their strength, they would be lambs to the slaughter."
Seeing this, Merlin withdrew his hypnosis, gave a slight nod to Trevor and Jerry, then grabbed a piece of cheese and slipped out through the crack in the door. Tom and Spike also put away their tools and squatted down to nibble on the snacks Jerry had given them, their previous intimidating demeanor gone.
Lucia and Zara slowly woke up, their eyes still a little unfocused. Once they had fully recovered, seeing Cui Ming's relaxed attitude, they breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that they had finally cleared their names.
Merlin dispelled the hypnosis, and soon after slipping out the door with a cheese in his mouth, Lucia and Zara slowly woke up. Their eyes gradually cleared from their dazed state, and they raised their hands to rub their throbbing heads, still dazed from just emerging from hypnosis. (End of Chapter)
