Chapter 1362
As expected of an instructor!
After arriving at TPC, Naoko Akagi and Ritsuko Akagi began working on upgrading the supercomputer.
They were taken to the data center deep within the Victory Team base, where TPC's most advanced quantum computer array was located, its indicator lights flashing in the darkness like a blue ocean.
As the technical lead, Ye Rui originally planned to give these two new colleagues a brief introduction to the system and showcase TPC's technical capabilities.
But he soon discovered that he didn't even have a chance to interject.
Naoko Akagi stood in front of the control panel, her fingers flying across the virtual keyboard, her movements so fast they left afterimages.
She glanced at TPC's existing architecture, directly accessed the underlying code, and frowned slightly.
"This redundant design is too wasteful; the computational efficiency could be improved by at least 40 percent."
Ritsuko Akagi stood to the side, holding a cup of coffee, and casually glanced at the data stream on the screen.
"Mom, don't forget to change the cooling system's algorithm too. There's a problem with the liquid cooling pipe layout here; it will overheat when running at overclock."
"I know, it's already written in."
Without even looking up, Naoko Akagi swiped her finger, and a brand-new cooling protocol was directly implanted into the main system.
Ye Rui stood to the side, his mouth agape and his eyes wide open.
He stared at the code on the screen that he couldn't understand at all, at the algorithm modules that had been refactored in an instant, and at the values that were skyrocketing on the system performance monitoring chart. He froze on the spot as if he had been struck by lightning.
These two are incredibly capable.
Ye Rui swallowed hard, cautiously approached, his voice trembling slightly.
"Um... Senior Akagi, is this algorithm... a completely new architecture?"
Ritsuko Akagi turned her head, glanced at him, and smiled slightly.
"I guess so. We've worked on similar systems in previous worlds. The hardware here is pretty good, but the software is too rough."
Ye Rui's lips twitched.
TPC's proud supercomputers are described by them as merely having "good foundations"?
Before he could process this blow, a passing technician muttered something under his breath.
"I heard they're mother and daughter...both are genius scientists..."
Noriyuki paused for a moment, then abruptly turned to look at Naoko Akagi and Ritsuko Akagi.
He carefully examined the two people's profiles and finally discovered the similar outlines and the identical focused expressions.
After learning that the two were mother and daughter, Ye Rui's gaze towards Cui Ming turned horrified.
He slowly turned his head, his gaze passing through the glass wall of the data center and landing on the man in the corridor who was talking to Megumi Kijima.
What the hell!
Instructor, you're awesome!
It was as if a thunderbolt had exploded in Ye Rui's mind.
Not only did they bring the girl back, but they even kidnapped the mother-in-law?!
What level of operation is this?!
What kind of divine power is this?!
His gaze toward Cui Ming had shifted from awe to a kind of near-worshipful horror, as if he were gazing upon an indescribable deity.
Horii approached at some point, glanced at Nozue following her gaze, and asked in a low voice.
"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Ye Rui reached out with trembling hands, pointing at Cui Ming outside the glass wall, her voice cracking.
"The instructor...brought that mother and daughter...back with him..."
Horii blinked, then gasped, his gaze towards Choi Myung becoming exactly the same as Nori's.
In the corner of the command room, Spike lazily raised his eyelids, glanced at the two shocked technicians, then lowered his head and continued to doze off, his tail wagging gently as if to say, "Don't be so surprised."
Of course, Ye Rui didn't know.
Actually...
Neither of them spared Cui's life.
Or
These two have the same aesthetic sense.
Nori and Horii were still whispering to each other in the corner, their eyes occasionally drifting towards Cui Ming.
Cui Ming walked over and patted Ye Rui on the head. "What are you thinking about? Get back to work."
His tone was relaxed, and there was even a slight smile on his lips, showing no displeasure at being talked about.
Ye Rui shrank his neck and quickly lowered his head, pretending to adjust the equipment.
Cui Ming doesn't care what others think of him.
His idea was simple.
As long as it can improve combat effectiveness, that's fine.
He walked to the control panel, looked at the data stream jumping wildly on the screen, and his gaze fell on Naoko Akagi and Ritsuko Akagi.
"How's the progress?"
Naoko Akagi looked up, typed the last line of code on the virtual keyboard, and then straightened up.
"Completed. The computing efficiency has increased by 70%. The cooling system has been rebuilt and can now support continuous overclocking."
Ritsuko Akagi added, holding up her now-cold coffee.
"Furthermore, we have redesigned the target recognition algorithm, which can now lock onto any unusual flying object in the atmosphere within 0.3 seconds, including those that can be invisible."
Cui Ming nodded, his gaze sweeping across the screen.
"Very good. This upgrade to the supercomputer's computing power is mainly to enable more effective detection of hostile targets."
His voice was steady, carrying a concern for practical utility.
“Those guys hiding in the shadows, whether they are aliens or monsters, as long as they dare to show their faces, they must be dragged out immediately.”
Ritsuko Akagi put down her coffee cup, a slight smile playing on her lips.
"Actually, the reason we were able to finish this so quickly is largely thanks to Mr. Hikari's guidance."
Naoko Akagi nodded, her voice tinged with admiration.
"Although that guy is sometimes unreliable, his research ability is indeed top-notch. The directions he gave us saved us at least half a year of detours."
Cui Ming raised an eyebrow, recalling Hikari's face, which always wore a fanatical smile, and shook his head helplessly.
"His inventions that aren't insured are truly remarkable."
Ritsuko Akagi smiled and tapped her fingers lightly on the table.
"It's not exactly a monster or a demon, but it's already terrifying."
"The current system, when combined with satellite networks and ground radar, can theoretically predict energy reactions at the Apostle level and issue an alert three minutes in advance."
Cui Ming nodded in satisfaction.
Three minutes is enough time for him to do a lot of things.
"Keep this in mind, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions."
He turned and left the data center with steady steps.
Behind him, Ye Rui looked at the code on the screen that he couldn't understand, then glanced at Cui Ming's back and muttered to himself.
"The instructor... really only cares about combat effectiveness..."
Horii patted him on the shoulder and sighed.
"Otherwise what? Do you think he cares what we say about him?"
The two exchanged a glance, then lowered their heads and continued working.
Spike rolled over in the corner, letting out a satisfied snort. (End of Chapter)
