Chapter 1420
Cui Ming: I want to blow up the planet! TPC: Approved!
Cui Ming rarely gets really angry.
Most of the time it's just an act.
After all, having been an instructor and Storm One for so many years, how could he maintain order and keep those aliens from making any rash moves if he didn't project an image of being ready to strike at any moment? How could he keep the new recruits obedient?
But sometimes, Choi Myung really gets angry.
For example, encountering a damn giant insect.
Those insects, whether they were Aliponta or the giant ants created by the Star Guide, would make Cui Ming's eyes turn red as soon as he smelled that acidic odor. In the hundred-year cycle of reincarnation, the number of insect-type enemies he had killed could pile up into a mountain, each one thoroughly dead, but he still hated them, hated them to the bone.
For example, encountering the Star Guide, an old rival from the EDF world.
Those bastards who toy with time, treating humanity as experimental subjects and Earth as a playground, have repeated this cycle again and again. Every time Cui Ming thinks of his fallen comrades, of the despair that has repeated itself countless times, his fingers can't help but tap on his holster, the rhythm as fast as a war drum. (Star Guide: Is it possible that you, you bastard, have damaged our gear?)
And then there's that damn technological blockade against Earth!!!
Being backward means being vulnerable to attack, and Cui Ming doesn't like being attacked!
A mechanical civilization that calls itself the "Safeguard System" roams the universe, dedicated to eliminating any emerging technologies that might "threaten the balance."
Max Propulsion System was listed as a target because "the technology could lead to a leap in interstellar travel capabilities, disrupting the existing order."
Disrupt the existing order?
Cui Ming slammed the report on the table, making a loud bang.
"Who do they think they are?!"
In the command room, everyone from the Victory Team, the EDF veterans, and even Adam and Yiwu held their breath. Cui Ming's voice wasn't loud, but every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth, carrying a bloody stench.
"Is Earth developing its own technology getting in their way?! We haven't even left the solar system yet, and they're already trying to blockade us?! How is this any different from the Star Guides back then?!"
"Instructor..." Daigo wanted to say something, but Shinjo stopped him.
"Don't stop me." Cui Ming turned around, his eyes sweeping over everyone present. "I'm going to blow up that planet of the Steel-Plate Masked Man."
"……what?!"
Everyone gasped in surprise.
Adam's tail stiffened: "Mr. Cui! Blow up, blow up the planet?!"
“Yes, blow up the planet.” Cui Ming’s tone was as calm as if he were talking about what to eat tomorrow. “This is not a joke, not a threat, it’s a notification. I’m going to blow their manufacturing plants, their command centers, and the core of their ‘support systems’ to smithereens.”
“But…” Megumi frowned.
“No buts.” Cui Ming pulled a Giga Battle Device from his pocket and placed it on the table. “I have this, I have Golza, I have the power of Ace, Zoffy, and Nexus. And the technology of the Star Guides. Since they dare to blockade us, they should be prepared to be counter-blockaded. No, not counter-blockaded—”
He paused, then a smile that sent chills down the spines of everyone present twitched at the corners of his mouth.
"It's extinction."
Lindis stood in the corner, holding a sniper rifle, her eyes flashing with an alarming light: "Tui, are you serious?"
“I’m always serious.” Cui Ming put the Giga Combat Device back into his pocket, his fingers tapping lightly on the holster, the rhythm quickening. “Falling behind means being beaten, and I don’t like being beaten. These bastards think they can repeat the Star Guides’ tricks? No way. I won’t wait for them to wipe us out; I’ll wipe them out first.”
Kijima walked over and grabbed his wrist: "Cui, calm down. This isn't fighting monsters, this is declaring war on a civilization."
“Then declare war.” Cui Ming’s voice was as cold as ice. “How many times did the Star Guides reincarnate us back then? Only 10% of the EDF’s humanity survived! When we fought back, who stood up for us? No one! Not a single one! In the universe, kindness is a luxury, morality is an ornament, only power is the hard currency.”
His fingers tapped the holster, a habit he used to suppress his anger.
"This isn't ruthlessness, it's survival. They attacked first, so we have to fight back, until they're completely wiped out." Don't think Cui Ming is ruthless; this situation has reached the point of mutual mortal enmity!
You have to be ruthless!
Cui Ming told Ze Jing about this.
In Sawai's office, Cui Ming slammed the report on the table, his voice as cold as ice: "The security system, the mechanical civilization, specializes in eliminating emerging technologies. The Max Power System was listed as a target, and they sent the Steel-Plate Masked Man to eliminate it. This is not a warning, it's action."
After listening, Sawai remained silent for three seconds, then picked up the internal phone and said only one sentence: "Summon global leaders for an emergency meeting, now."
The atmosphere in the meeting room was so heavy it could melt water.
Twenty-three world leaders sat around a long table, before them lay a brief report on the "security system." The report was thin, but every word struck like a brick.
Sawai stood in front of the main seat, her hands resting on the table, her gaze sweeping across the room.
"Everyone, the situation is quite simple." His voice wasn't loud, but it was clear enough for everyone to hear. "There's a mechanical civilization that calls itself the Protection System. They believe Earth's Max Propulsion System is disrupting the balance of the universe, so they've sent out elimination units. In other words, Earth's development of its own technology is getting in their way. They're coming to impose a technological blockade."
Before he could finish speaking, Chief of Police Yoshioka slammed his hand on the table, making teacups jump around: "Nonsense! Who does it bother if we develop our own technology?! Who do they think they are?!"
“It doesn’t matter who they are.” Cui Ming leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, his voice as calm as if discussing tomorrow’s weather. “What matters is that they’ve already made their move. The Steel-Plate Masked Men have appeared in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Hokkaido, their goal being to eliminate Max’s power system. This isn’t a warning; it’s an operation.”
“This…” a European representative frowned, “If we retaliate directly, will it provoke a backlash from other civilizations? Will we become the target of everyone’s criticism?”
“We’re already the target of everyone’s attacks.” Cui Ming sat up straight, his gaze sweeping over everyone present. “The Pitt aliens are watching me every day, the Steel-Plate Masked Man came to clean me up, and there’s a bunch of aliens watching from the shadows. If we back down, they’ll take ten steps forward. If we tolerate it once, they’ll dare to ride roughshod over us.”
He paused, then tapped his fingers lightly on the table, the rhythm quickening.
"After all, being blocked from technology is already a complete declaration of war."
Silence fell over the meeting room.
Sawai looked at Choi Myung with a complex emotion in his eyes, a mixture of worry and, more than anything, trust.
"Cui Ming, what's your opinion?"
"Bomb them." Cui Ming's tone was flat. "Their home planet, factories, and command centers will all be reduced to ashes. Let them know what happens when they mess with Earth."
"This..." the Asian representative hesitated, "isn't it too radical?"
“Radical?” Cui Ming sneered. “Back then, the EDF endured the Star Guides once, and what was the result? Reincarnation. Endure again, and reincarnation again. Endure until only 10% of humanity remains. In the universe, kindness is a luxury, morality is an ornament, only power is hard currency. They declared war first, so we have to fight back until they are completely wiped out.”
Sawai paused for two seconds, then straightened up and looked at the entire audience.
"Everyone, let's vote. Raise your hand if you support Choi Myung."
Yoshioka was the first to raise his hand, his movement so fast it was as if he were answering a question before anyone else.
The European representative glanced at Cui Ming, then at Ze Jing, took a deep breath, and raised his hand.
Representatives from Asia, the Americas, Africa... one after another, until finally all twenty-three world leaders raised their hands.
Sawai nodded as she watched this scene.
"Passed unanimously."
He turned to Choi Myung, his tone solemn: "Choi Myung, TPC fully supports you." (End of Chapter)
