Chapter 1163
, 6th Anniversary of Yiyuan Hall: What did you do to her?!?!
Rokufen Gigendo was jolted awake, a sharp, piercing pain suddenly shooting through his chest. It wasn't a physical pain, but a deep, excruciating heartache that seemed to have been utterly taken away and crushed.
Rokubungigendo knew very well that terrifying, heart-wrenching feeling!
It's Choi Myung! It must be Choi Myung! That bastard Choi Myung, what on earth did he do to Yui!
The pain of losing everything and being utterly betrayed swept wildly through his body. Every breath felt like swallowing a scalding blade, causing him to convulse in agony. His eyes were bloodshot, filled with madness and despair.
This feeling!!!
No!!!!
He roared, his voice hoarse and broken, filled with endless resentment and anger. His muscles trembled violently, as if he were being torn apart by this extreme heartache, his reason teetering on the brink of collapse.
Just then, a cold, mocking voice slowly rang in his ears, crystal clear, like a sharp knife piercing his heart: "That's right, just as you thought, they're together."
"No!!! No!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!!"
These words shattered Rokubun Gigendo's last shred of reason. He let out a shrill, inhuman scream, his voice filled with despair and collapse. The extreme heartache overwhelmed him like a tidal wave. His vision went black, and he could no longer hold on, fainting straight out of the room—a fainting spell caused by the extreme heartache that made it impossible to maintain consciousness.
The counterpart to Rokubungi Gendo is Yui Ikari.
At this moment, Yui Ikari was standing still, a gentle smile still lingering on her face. The next second, she also let out a cry.
However, this cry was completely different from Rokubungi Gendo's. There was no despair, no anger, only indescribable happiness and shyness. It was gentle and touching, like a murmur of extreme joy, hiding a tenderness she had never known before.
Then, she fainted.
There was nothing she could do; her fighting ability was still too low. She was naturally weak, and this was the first time she had ever experienced such intense and pure happiness. The extreme emotional impact far exceeded her capacity to bear it, and she lost consciousness in a moment of weakness.
On one side, there was heartbreak so intense it caused them to collapse and faint; on the other, there was happiness so overwhelming it caused them to faint. Their drastically different reactions were like two extremes, silently revealing their respective obsessions and states of mind.
Then Liufen Yiyuantang had a dream.
The scene in his dream was warm, devoid of the ravages of war and the pungent stench, only filled with gentle sunlight and a quiet courtyard. Yet, this warmth was, to him, the sharpest blade. He stood frozen, unable to move, forced to watch helplessly as Yui and Choi Myung were together.
Yui Ikari stood side by side with Choi Myung, a gentle smile on her face and her eyes crinkling. They occasionally exchanged glances, their eyes filled with undisguised warmth, showing no sense of distance between them. They strolled together in the courtyard, talking as they went, a scene both harmonious and jarring. Every moment felt like a needle piercing Rokubun Gigendo's heart.
Then, the scene shifted, and their wedding appeared in the dream. Ikari Yui wore a pure white wedding dress, her smile radiant, while Choi Myung stood beside her, his eyes resolute. They walked side-by-side into the hall, receiving blessings, their faces filled with happiness. Later, they had a child. The tiny baby was carefully held in their arms, and the whole family smiled broadly, their eyes crinkling with joy—a scene Rokubun Gigendo had never dared to dream of.
He desperately tried to get closer, to scream, to break it all, but he couldn't make a sound, nor could he move an inch. He could only watch helplessly as it all happened, watching Ikari belong to someone else, watching them have a perfect family, while he, from beginning to end, was just an extra. Then, in his dream, he was struck again! This blow, unrelated to his body, was a thousand times more painful than any physical injury, a thousand times more painful than being hit by the monster's remains. The feeling of powerlessness, jealousy, and despair overwhelmed him like a tidal wave, spreading through his blood to every part of his body, causing him excruciating pain. Even in his dream, he couldn't help but convulse, his face contorted in agony.
Looking at Yui's happy appearance in his dream, and at Choi Myung's figure walking side by side with her, the obsession and resentment in his heart completely erupted, but he had nowhere to vent it. He could only let this pain devour him, and in his nightmares, he would suffer this fatal blow again and again, unable to break free.
The next morning, just as dawn was breaking, Cui Ming got up first. Looking at Ikari Yui beside him, who still looked tired and flushed, he shook his head helplessly—it seemed he would have to ask for a day off for Ikari Yui.
In the living room, Misato sat on the sofa, her face so sour it could drip water, radiating displeasure. She crossed her arms and furrowed her brows.
She never expected this! She had been so careful and wary of Ritsuko, fearing that Ritsuko would make a move against Choi Myung first, but in the end, it was the seemingly gentle and reserved Yui Ikari who made the first move!
"You really have no manners at all!" Misato glared at Yui Ikari as she walked out of the room, her tone full of resentment and unwillingness, but there was no real anger in her eyes, more regret for not being on guard.
Yui's cheeks flushed slightly under Misato's gaze. She avoided his eyes, lowered her head shyly, and twisted the hem of her clothes with her fingers, looking extremely awkward. She had figured it out afterward last night. The reason Zeppelin hadn't stopped her yesterday was probably because he had already seen through everything. It seemed that Zeppelin and Misato had gone through a lot of trouble these past few days, keeping an eye on each other and being wary of one another.
"You were on guard against me, and now your base has been raided." Just then, Ritsuko walked over with a glass of water, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. She spoke slowly, not forgetting to kick someone when they're down, her tone full of mockery.
"Shut up!" Misato gritted her teeth and glared at Ritsuko, her teeth chattering and her cheeks flushed with anger, but she couldn't find any words to refute him and could only suppress her rage.
Afterwards, Misato and Ritsuko started bickering and arguing, pushing and shoving each other and complaining about each other. Choi Myung shook his head helplessly, stepped forward to separate the two, and led them towards the university—after all, he couldn't let them keep making a fuss and delay their classes.
After seeing Misato and Ritsuko off, Choi Myung turned and headed towards the research institute. He still had some things to take care of, but as soon as he entered the institute, the scene before him made him stop in his tracks.
Rokubungi Gendo stood in the center of the hall, his face contorted in a ferocious grimace. His eyes were bloodshot and bulging, his facial muscles twisted, and he exuded an aura of madness and despair, like a wild beast driven to the brink of despair. The air around him became oppressive.
"Sexent, weren't you fired?" Cui Ming frowned, his tone calm and without any ripples, looking at him indifferently, as if he were looking at an insignificant stranger.
"You bastard...you bastard!!!! What did you do to Yui!!!!" Upon hearing Cui Ming's voice, Rokubungi Gendo exploded like a powder keg, roaring as he charged towards Cui Ming. His voice was hoarse and broken, filled with extreme anger and resentment, and the madness in his eyes almost consumed him.
He raised his fist high and, with all his might, slammed it towards Cui Ming's face, every muscle taut, venting the overwhelming hatred in his heart. (End of Chapter)
