Chapter 70
What FBI, some organization, are they as fast as child soldiers?
Stopped by Conan Edogawa, Jonah remained silent, merely squinting at the two armed robbers.
Jonah heard what Ai Haibara said before she went into a state of withdrawal, but unfortunately, without Conan Edogawa's explanation, Jonah was unable to fully understand what Ai Haibara was trying to express. However, Jonah was very aware that Ai Haibara was currently in a state of fear.
Ai Haibara is not a cowardly person. She has been able to remain calm and find solutions in times of crisis when she encountered danger or criminals.
What could possibly frighten Ai Haibara so much... Jonah's little brain kept working, and he blinked in sudden realization.
It's someone from that organization! Only someone from that organization could have turned Ai Haibara into this state!
So, who are the people in that organization? Where are they located?
Jonah glanced subconsciously at Jodie and Tomoaki Shinide, who were sitting in front of Conan Edogawa and Ai Haibara, and scratched his hair in frustration.
Honestly, if you're a bad guy, why don't you just come out and do bad things openly? It's not like you don't have a gun, why are you always hiding!
Controlling his emotions, Jonah still knew what priorities were. Right now, the urgent matter was dealing with two armed robbers... Hmm, what was Conan up to this time?
Puzzled, I watched as Conan Edogawa stealthily left his seat and climbed over to the ski bag that the robber had placed in the middle aisle of the bus, seemingly looking for something. I subconsciously glanced at the robber standing in front of the bus.
As expected, the robber reacted quickly, striding over and pointing his gun directly at Conan Edogawa's head.
Jonah's expression changed. Hearing the robber say that he would deal with Conan Edogawa right now, Jonah felt that he could no longer sit idly by and wait to die. If he continued to be under such a threat, anything could happen.
Jonah reached for the dagger strapped to his back, keeping an eye on the positions of the two robbers and calculating the possibility of killing them, taking their guns, and then shooting the robbers in front.
But just as Jonah was about to draw his dagger and take action, Tomoaki Shinide, who was sitting in the front row, suddenly rushed out and blocked Conan Edogawa's path with his arms outstretched.
"That's enough! It's just kids being naughty, you don't need to make a scene!"
Jonah stared in surprise at Araide Tomoaki, who was standing in front of Conan Edogawa. He hadn't expected that this man, whom he had always disliked, would do something to protect Conan Edogawa.
Jonah's attempt to take action was interrupted once again. He watched as Conan Edogawa sat back down and was about to ask him something in a low voice when Conan leaned against the seat and began to speak to Jonah in a very quiet voice.
"Jonah, if I'm not mistaken, these ski bags are filled with bombs! And besides these two robbers, one of the three people sitting in the last row is an accomplice of the robbers! It's that person who has been observing our movements and telling the robbers in front what's happening behind us."
Upon hearing Conan Edogawa's words, Jonah's eyes sharpened, and he immediately glanced at the ski bag placed in the aisle beside him.
If it were explosives, things would become very complicated. In a bus environment, even if Jonah was confident he could jump off and escape, what would happen to the others?
"What should I do?"
"Let me find their accomplices first, then I'll figure out how to dispose of the bomb. Also... Jonah, you need to be careful this time. If I'm not mistaken, there might be members of that organization in this car!"
"I guessed that too."
"...Huh? Jonah, you guessed it too?"
His expression clearly froze for a moment, and Conan Edogawa even subconsciously wanted to turn his head to look at Jonah, but he stopped himself at the last moment.
"Alright, give me a little more time, and we'll work together to resolve this problem."
"it is good."
Jonah trusted Conan Edogawa's words and patiently waited for Conan's deduction.
After the bus entered a tunnel, Conan Edogawa finally prepared to take action.
"Jonah, you need to be quick. Remember to subdue that woman immediately and don't give her a chance to press the button on the watch to detonate the bomb!"
"it is good."
Slowly lowering his body, Jonah looked at Shuichi Akai and Tomoaki Shinide, who had been called to the front by the robbers to change clothes with them, and then fixed his gaze on the woman who had been called over as a hostage.
Taking advantage of the dim light in the tunnel, Jonah used his short stature to quickly approach the seats in front, and without attracting the attention of the robbers, he managed to sit in a seat only about 2 meters away from them.
As they were about to pass through the tunnel, Conan Edogawa and Professor Agasa raised their ski bags and shouted loudly, attracting the attention of the robbers and the driver ahead.
Because of the explosives in the ski bag, the robbers dared not fire their guns, which allowed the driver to clearly see the word "stop" that Conan Edogawa had written on the ski bag.
In the critical moment, the driver instinctively chose to execute the order, slamming on the brakes to slow the bus down quickly. Due to the inertia, the two robbers who were standing, along with their female accomplice, all fell into the aisle.
Gripping the handrails tightly, Jonah struggled to control his body. The moment the car came to a complete stop, he leaped forward with all his might, heading straight for the two armed robbers on the ground.
With the momentum of the impact, a knee strike landed heavily on one of the robbers' faces, causing him to fall to his side as blood gushed from his nose.
Ignoring the pain in his knee from being bruised by the robber's teeth, Jonah charged forward again. As the other robber tried to react, Jonah punched him in the chin, then grabbed his hair with his right hand and slammed his head heavily onto a nearby seat.
In less than five seconds, Jonah successfully took down both robbers, but the crisis was not over yet.
Jonah casually reached out and picked up one of the robbers' pistols. He kicked the woman, one of the robbers' accomplices, in the stomach, grabbed her forearm with his left hand, and pointed the gun at her head with his right.
"Don't move, or I'll kill you!"
Jonah's efficient and swift actions astonished those in the carriage who were unfamiliar with him.
Shinichi Akai and Jodie, who were already preparing to take action, looked at Jonah in shock, unable to believe that such a small child could so quickly take control of the situation.
"No! Run! I have to get out of here!"
The woman, who was prepared to remain still with Jonah pointing a gun at her, suddenly turned terrified when she saw the watch on her wrist start to turn. She struggled and screamed.
"The brakes just now hit the watch's switch, the bomb has been activated, and it'll explode in one minute!"
"What?!"
