Chapter 27

Going out for a walk

"This is our sincerity. We hope that Mr. Han will remember us if he has more good products like this in the future."

"Okay, Mr. Bai is very agreeable." After the price negotiation was completed, Han Che stood up and shook hands with Mr. Bai.

Then Boss Bai took out his phone and operated the screen a few times.

Han Che also opened his phone, intending to open Green Bubble to find the QR code, but found that the phone did not have such software at all, and was stunned for a moment.

"System? What software do we use for trading?" Han Che mentally called out to the system.

Before the system could respond, Xiaobai stretched out his phone and touched Han Che's phone, and then Han Che's phone popped up with a notification that the money had been credited to his account.

"Uh! Haha, okay, I'm off now that I'm done!" Han Che said hurriedly after staring blankly at the balance in his account for a few seconds.

"Boss Han, come again soon!" Xiao Bai and A Kai stopped after seeing the man out of the building.

"Sister Bai, what was he spacing out about just now? And was he really at Dam Zero? What's that called again? Possession?" Ah Kai asked quietly after Han Che walked away.

"What's it to you? What can you do if you don't believe me?" Xiaobai turned around and walked back into the building. "The product is genuine, and the price is acceptable to us."

"Everyone has secrets, but the key is that these things are hard to come by even with money, thanks to our connections. If we miss this opportunity, who knows when we'll get them again?"

"A lone wolf like him is definitely not weak, and that's beyond our control. As long as the goods are right, let's make the deal quickly. Making a friend like him is better than making an enemy like him."

……

As I stepped out of the office building in Block B, the sun had already set, and it was getting late.

"It went more smoothly than I expected!" Han Che breathed a sigh of relief after walking a distance.

He had never experienced anything like this in his previous life; he was a complete social phobia! Let alone doing business worth hundreds of thousands, he had never even seen hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Today he put on a show of being a warden, and it worked well; at least he didn't show any weakness.

"Finally, I have enough money to be resurrected!"

Han Che originally planned to sell everything as soon as the price was good, even if it was cheaper, but seeing the two of them looking at the accessories with such greedy eyes, Han Che still felt that he couldn't sell them all at once.

Otherwise, you'll easily be targeted!

Han Che then realized that the money in the danger zone and the money in this world seemed to be in a 1:1 ratio.

If that's true, something worth hundreds of thousands is equivalent to several years' salary for an average person! Even if many of the equipment sets in his system space were damaged in battle, they could easily fetch millions.

Han Che walked back the way he came; he didn't take the bus again.

In the early autumn evening, a gentle breeze caressed my face, bringing a refreshing coolness. The leaves on the trees on both sides of the road were still green, but you could hear them rustling in the wind.

The air was filled with the scent of leaves, dust, and the aroma of food wafting from afar. He took a deep breath, letting the cool air fill his lungs.

It's been a long time since I've been out. The last time I left home was in my previous life.

The huge order he took on in his previous life kept him from going out properly for more than three months.

It's not that I didn't go out at all; I still needed to pick up takeout and take out the trash. But that doesn't count as "going out." I hurried along the hundred or so meters from my rented apartment to the entrance of the complex, my mind still preoccupied with the game I was playing.

How did he spend the past three months? He thought about it, but it was a bit hazy. It seemed like he would just wake up, turn on the computer, take orders, play games, eat, play more games, and then sleep when he got tired. The curtains were always drawn, so he couldn't tell day from night. There was always the sound of typing and clicking the mouse in the room, along with the shouts of his teammates in his headphones, or the boss's voice, sometimes loud and sometimes soft.

Back then, I did consider leaving. Sometimes I'd play until the early hours of the morning, my neck would ache terribly, I'd stand up, walk to the window, lift a corner of the curtain, and outside it would be pitch black and very quiet.

I thought about going for a walk, but my body felt heavy, and the thought quickly passed.

I never imagined that I would be stuck in prison for so many days after arriving here. "Gheros..." Han Che murmured, looking at his hands.

I have little memory of the process of reincarnation; I simply became another person.

What's laughable is that in his previous life he was a companion, staying in a rented room to earn money, but in this life he's become the boss of a region, and he still has to worry about making money every day.

I walked along the path to a riverbank lined with willow trees whose branches drooped down, swaying gently in the breeze. The river was dark, reflecting the twinkling lights of the tall buildings on the opposite bank.

Han Che had his hands in his hoodie pockets, walking at a moderate pace.

The last glimmer of light in the sky disappeared. "It's time to go back; there are no arrangements yet in prison."

Looking up into the distance, in the heart of the city, where skyscrapers are densely packed, the portal is over there.

"These prison guards work really hard; they're in the prison every day," Han Che thought to himself, surprised at himself. When did he start treating these prison guard NPCs as real people?

What exactly are they? What exactly is this world? Han Che had never intended to think about it.

That's just his personality; he'll make the best of it since he's here, and since the prison guards are working so hard, he should do something for them too.

That's what Han Che thought.

After walking for a long time, Han Che finally arrived at the city center. He passed by a shopping mall, where bright white light shone through the glass doors.

He pushed open the door and went to the shelves, where potato chips, cookies, and drinks were readily available.

The brand is different from the one in the previous life, but the packaging and the labeled flavor are almost identical, as is the price.

Han Che pushed a small cart filled with all sorts of snacks; he put anything that looked delicious into the cart.

There's nothing in the prison; the meals are automatically refreshed in the staff canteen every day.

While it wasn't exactly bad, it wasn't particularly delicious either; it was just ordinary cafeteria food.

"Let's buy more of this!"

……

"System, send me back to Tidal Prison."

Han Che wandered around the city, stopping and starting, until midnight. He arrived at the riverbank he had been teleported to and changed into the warden's trench coat.

[Host, you will be teleported immediately after you jump into the water. Please prepare.]

Han Che took a deep breath and leaped into the water like a fish.

Just before the river overflowed his face, he placed the white mask over his face, and then his figure instantly disappeared into the water.

"All prison guards, assemble in the staff canteen upon hearing this announcement!"

Han Che returned to the warden's office and immediately turned on his voice to call all the prison guards to assemble.

After the broadcast, Han Che also set off for the staff restaurant. As soon as he opened the door, he bumped into Shi Ding, who was running towards him, panting.

"Your Excellency Warden, you're back? What happened?"

"Old Shi! It's nothing serious. The brothers are still up, aren't they?"

Shi Ding took a deep breath and said, "Not yet, but I should rest soon."

"I bought some food for the brothers, let's share it!"

A few minutes later, all the prison guards were in place, still fully armed and in perfect formation.

Upon entering the cafeteria, I saw that the tables were filled with lunch boxes, which contained various braised dishes, sausages, smoked chicken, and all kinds of meat, neatly arranged, with various cold cucumber dishes piled up next to them.

There were two bottles of baijiu (Chinese liquor) on each table, and cases of beer under the table.

All the prison guards' eyes flickered when they saw what was on the table.

Shi Ding and Shi Lei arrived early and arranged for the prison guards to be seated, then poured a glass of wine for each of them.

"I called everyone here so late for no other reason than that we've been risking our lives for the prison these past few days, using the most basic weapons to fight the most powerful enemy."

"As the warden, I understand the dangers best!" Han Che raised his glass filled with baijiu. "The prison is still in its early stages and we need everyone's cooperation!"

"Today, I stand here to honor the trust you have placed in me. I assure you that no matter what happens in the future, if anyone sacrifices their life, I will be resurrected! Not a single one will be left behind!"

Then, he tilted his head back and drank the liquor in his glass in one gulp.
