Chapter 43
Big Deal
The glass door opened, but no one came out to greet them.
"Nobody's here? That shouldn't be the case; today isn't supposed to be a day for casual events."
Li Hao looked around and saw that the light was on in the rarely used conference room in the back room.
As I approached the door, I could hear voices inside.
"Sister Bai? Are you in this room?" Li Hao pressed the doorknob and pushed the door open as he went in.
Unexpectedly, Xiaobai and Akai were both in the conference room. Opposite them sat a strange man they had never seen before, and on the conference table was a large dark green mesh backpack.
"What brings you here?" Xiaobai stood up and turned around, surprised. Then she turned back to the man opposite her and smiled, "Excuse me, Boss Han, this is my friend. Please excuse me for a moment, I'll be right back!"
"Kai, why don't you chat with Boss Han for a bit?"
Then, with quick, shuffling steps, she grabbed Li Hao's sleeve and dragged him outside.
Before being dragged out the door, Li Hao glanced back and saw the strange man giving him a surprised look.
"Boss Han? Boss Han?" Ah Kai whispered from the side, "Please have some water and wait a moment."
"Um……"
Looking at Boss Han's eyes, Ah Kai asked, "Boss Han, did you recognize him?"
"Huh? Wh...what recognized you?" Han Che's heart skipped a beat.
"You're not mistaken, he's Li Hao, the one who recently brought out a main battle tank model from the latest dangerous area."
"Huh? Oh! Oh oh! I see! Hahaha!" Han Che finally realized that it was normal for him to know Li Hao, and it wouldn't expose his identity as the warden.
He quickly picked up his water glass, took a sip of tea, and calmed himself down.
"Then why did he come here?" Han Che asked after calming down.
"Oh, he's Sister Bai's cousin. He's probably back for a visit, right?"
"My youngest cousin."
……
"Are you recruiting new thugs? Why are you being so secretive?" Li Hao was dragged along by Xiao Bai all the way to another office.
What are you doing here?
"Why can't I come?"
"Listen to me," Xiaobai deliberately emphasized, "this is one of my important clients! Don't you dare try anything funny!"
"What kind of client? What ulterior motive could I possibly have?" Li Hao said innocently.
"Who in the entire Dragon Kingdom doesn't know you, Li Hao? If you go up to him a couple of times, and he decides not to cooperate with me anymore and goes to cooperate with your Dragon Soaring instead, how am I supposed to survive?"
"No, why would I steal your clients? Besides, I don't represent the Dragon Club."
"I don't care, get away from me!" Xiaobai grinned, wrinkling her nose in a fierce expression. Although she was the older cousin, she wasn't much older than Li Hao and was even a head shorter than him.
It looks like a white kitten that's possessive of its food.
"Okay, okay, I won't steal it, I'm here to talk to you about serious business."
Hearing Li Hao say that, Xiao Bai regained his composure. "What important business can wait? I can't keep the boss waiting!"
"Alright, alright, then we'll wait until we finish our business."
As Li Hao was about to walk out of the house, he was stopped by Xiao Bai.
"What do you mean 'we'? Who's talking to you about 'we'? You stay here quietly until I'm done talking to you!"
"Yes, yes, I will obey!"
Xiao Bai quickly returned to the conference room. "Boss Han, I'm sorry to have kept you waiting. Let's continue."
"Can."
Seeing that Boss Han didn't press Li Hao's matter, Xiao Bai glanced at A Kai, who shook his head, so she didn't bring it up again.
The backpack contained a total of 4 rifles and some accessories.
Four guns were placed side by side on the conference table, leaving Xiaobai dumbfounded.
Two fully modified M4A1 assault rifles and two fully modified Tenglong assault rifles.
Xiao Bai picked up a gun at random and examined it carefully. From the barrel and muzzle to the grip and stock, all the parts were high-level.
Laser pointer, magazine, gas system, scope.
Each component was beyond her reach, and she had only ever seen a few top clubs use a fully modified gun with all these parts assembled together.
Including Li Hao in the next room, these weapons are what they use.
How many people in a small, unknown club like ours have that kind of financial strength? Even those with some resources like hers mostly can't get their hands on it.
"Boss Han..." Xiao Bai swallowed hard, "These things..."
She originally wanted to ask how it came about, but when the words were on the tip of her tongue, she decided it was best not to ask.
How she got here has nothing to do with her, so why ask?
Moreover, the boss who can get his hands on such high-quality goods must be no ordinary person.
If you accidentally violate the boss's secrets and he refuses to cooperate with you, you'll be in big trouble.
"How much do you plan to sell these things for?" Xiaobai asked, rubbing his hands together.
"Name your price, and if it's right, I'll sell it all to you," Han Che said calmly. "I still have more of these kinds of things. If we have a good working relationship, I'll sell them to you again next time."
"There's more!" Xiaobai exclaimed in surprise.
"What's wrong?"
"It's nothing, nothing! What I mean is that we're truly honored. It's just... we can't possibly raise that much money for this quantity and quality of goods all at once!"
Xiaobai was a little troubled. She hadn't expected the amount to be so large. She wished she had transferred more money from her father's company.
"Let's see how much of today's goods you can ship."
Xiao Bai silently counted in his mind, then said, "Boss, an M4A1 assault rifle is 40, a Tenglong is 60. Five laser pointers, I'll still buy them at 8 each, just like last time, totaling 240 million. What do you think?"
This price was about the same as, or even slightly higher than, what Han Che had in mind, showing that the other party really wanted to retain him as a customer.
"Okay, sure, let's make a deal."
Xiao Bai was surprised that the other party agreed so readily. She had thought she would have to haggle over the price, as her budget was actually under 300 million.
Although the prices of these goods were similar to what she had quoted, there was usually a premium due to their scarcity in the market. However, this Mr. Han refused to bargain at all.
"Boss Han, there's something else. I only have 200 million in my account right now. Could you please make an exception for the remaining 40 for a few days?" Xiao Bai said awkwardly.
She has always been financially well-off, but she doesn't have that much cash right now, so she has to discuss it with the other party.
"If you don't mind, come back in two days and I will pay you the remaining balance, plus 100,000 as compensation."
"Or if you don't want to, you can keep these laser pointers for now, and I'll trade with you another time, how about that?"
"It's okay, you can keep it. You can pay me back next time I come."
Xiao Bai smiled and readily agreed.
After transferring the money to Han Che, Xiao Bai saw Han Che out of the building before returning.
At this moment, Li Hao had already come out of the office.
"How did it go? Was the transaction successful?"
"Hmph! Absolutely!" Xiaobai put her hands on her hips and smiled smugly.
"Let me see what good stuff these are?"
"It's still in the conference room. Go see for yourself, it'll blow your mind!"
Upon hearing what Xiaobai said, Li Hao went to the conference room and pushed open the door to enter.
The distinctive large backpack on the conference table was gone, replaced by four guns and several accessories neatly arranged.
"Wow, not bad, you still manage to keep a gun like that?"
"Tch, you think only your Dragon Club can use fully modified guns? We can too! Don't look down on us." Xiaobai rolled his eyes at him.
Li Hao picked up a Tenglong sword. "These things are indeed more commonly used by us..."
His voice grew softer and softer, and he didn't utter the last half of his sentence.
Xiao Bai only looked at Li Hao after he had only said half of what he wanted to say. "Why did you only say half of what you wanted to say?"
She saw Li Hao staring at the Tenglong rifle with a complicated expression, his pupils fixed on the gun barrel, his pupils dilating.
"What's wrong with you?"
Li Hao didn't reply. Impossible, impossible, right? This mark? This gun?
"Answer a few questions for me, and this is yours."
"Here you go. I, Geheros, keep my word."
Fragments of memory flashed through his mind: the day he was escorted away from prison by the warden, he only brought back a model of a main battle tank.
That Tenglong was left in prison.
