Chapter 3

Players, Operators

"Dear viewers, there are only 30 minutes left before the new danger zone unlocks!"

"The entrance will open in 30 minutes. Since this is the first time it has appeared, we have no idea what the layout and resources inside will be!"

"Although our players will be automatically thrown out of the area upon death and will not be in mortal danger, the level of completely unknown danger involved is unprecedented!"

"Oh, look! Several top clubs have sent out their own exploration teams, forming two full-strength squads!"

"Although it's a completely unknown new area, even without sending out their top-tier team members, each of them has equipment worth over 100 million!"

"This is insane! 100 million! That's enough gear to dominate in other areas, and in this new area it's only being used to equip explorer teams! Looks like the atmosphere among these major clubs is really tense today!"

……

The entrance to the new danger zone resembled a huge black fog, with a cordon set up for hundreds of meters around it, guarded by official personnel who dispersed unrelated personnel and civilians.

Multiple helicopters were circling overhead, providing real-time coverage of the scene.

The danger zone has been present on this continent for three years now. People have gone from being terrified at the beginning to now treating it as an essential form of entertainment for every household during their leisure time.

As a result, various players and clubs that make a living from this have emerged.

While the clubs were fiercely competing for control of the previously dangerous zones, a brand new zone suddenly appeared, disrupting the balance.

Driven by enormous profits, they also dispatched their own explorers to investigate internal intelligence.

With shared interests, the six clubs reached a consensus to obtain the most information and the greatest benefits at the lowest cost!

Once the exploration team has fully investigated the internal situation, the club will dispatch a heavyweight force, fully equipped with extremely advanced and luxurious weaponry, to sweep across the entire battlefield and reap huge profits.

The massive black fog gradually lightened in color, foreshadowing its imminent opening.

The six explorers, fully equipped, gathered in front of the gate and immediately split into two teams of three.

These players were already familiar with each other, and they had completed the previous exploration missions. It can be said that even though they came from different clubs, they had a great deal of tacit understanding.

All six clubs are backed by powerful backgrounds, and the relationships between the members of these clubs naturally vary depending on their backgrounds.

Club members with backgrounds from the United States, Japan, and South Korea naturally gathered together.

The three explorers from the two Dragon Kingdoms and the Bear Kingdom also exchanged pleasantries together.

"Long time no see!"

"Long time no see! You've gotten even stronger, Lao Bao! You've been working out a lot lately, haven't you?"

"Haha, you can skip the dangerous areas, but you can't stop training!" Old Bao raised his thick arm, showing off his huge biceps. He had been in China for two years, and his Chinese was fluent with a moderate accent, although some of his words were a little stiff. However, there was really no pressure in communicating with him.

"You're not bad either, Tiger Girl, your figure has gotten even better, but that level 4 armor is really in the way, it's not good for admiring you."

"Li Hao, you're such a chatterbox! Hurry up and get ready, look at those guys, they're all ready." Tiger Girl pointed to the other three people not far away.

The American leading the group showed off his fully modified M4A1, while the other two, without even listening, were bowing and scraping and praising it repeatedly.

"Friends! How's the preparation?" Old Bao took his AKM off his back and held it to his chest.

"Looks like we're about the same, Xiaoman's modified weapon, paired with a level 4 armor set with medium durability?" Tiger Girl examined the equipment of the two men in front of her.

"Yeah, this gear would normally be enough to walk around Longbow Valley with ease. It's amazing that we're even wearing it now!" Li Hao exclaimed, touching the armor on his chest.

"The official reconnaissance said that the interior might be quite dangerous and that the supplies were of high value, which is why we were all made to wear these protective gear."

"Over a million worth of equipment! For an ordinary person, that's like wearing a house inside. If the evacuation fails, wouldn't they be crying?" Li Hao laughed.

Tiger Girl curled her lip and said, "Crying? Ordinary people can't afford to cry. This makes it difficult for small clubs to get involved. Forget it, it's not our business!"

"Friends, do you think the three people on the other side will get along well with us?" Old Bao gestured with his chin toward the group.

"Damn! Don't you, Lao Bao, know what those guys are like?" Li Hao patted Lao Bao's massive pectoral muscles.

"I understand, they forget about us when they see the profit!" Old Bao said angrily. He had been forced to cooperate with them before, but before they left, they shot him in the back and took all of his supplies.

"Well, they're opportunistic and treacherous, pretty much it. Anyway, we definitely have to be wary of them!"

Just as the group finished exchanging information and making plans, a loud broadcast blared overhead.

"All personnel, prepare yourselves! The danger zone is about to open. Players, please be ready!"

"Oh right, don't forget to turn on the camera!" Tiger Girl suddenly remembered and reminded the group.

Then Lao Bao and Li Hao immediately checked the miniature camera on their goggles, which was directly connected to the live stream.

It is sponsored by various small clubs, live streaming entertainment companies, official entities, and several major forces.

It's like paying money to buy first-hand information about the area; small clubs that don't pay won't even have permission to enter that area afterwards.

Correspondingly, anyone who forgets to turn on the camera after entering will also face a substantial fine.

With all the cameras turned on, viewers watching on their computers and phones were finally able to see the live feed, and the global internet went wild.

"Is it starting?"

"Oh my god, this is great! It's about to start! I've been waiting for so long!"

"Tiger Girl, Tiger Girl's first-person perspective! That gun, it's so white!"

"Hey buddy upstairs, you'd better be talking about guns!"

……

"Ladies and gentlemen, a brand new area is about to open. Let's count down together, 5!"

"4!"

"3!"

"2!"

"1!"

Then the black mist suddenly vanished, leaving behind a transparent but distorted spatial bubble.

The three of them, gripping each other's hands tightly, entered the area through the gate simultaneously.

The six first-person perspective live streams froze simultaneously, then resumed after a few seconds.

"They're in? How are you all doing?"

"No abnormalities!"

"No abnormalities!"

The three men checked their equipment and supplies on the spot. After confirming that they were safe, they looked at each other, picked up their rifles, and began to move.

"What kind of place does this place look like to you?"

"There are fences everywhere, and impenetrable cement walls. Look ahead, you can go in through that gate."

Old Bao looked up at the building, his expression grave. "Friends, I recognize this building. This is... a prison!"
