Chapter 31
What a Tidal Prison Should Look Like
[The Tidal Prison is about to open. Please prepare accordingly.]
Han Che leaned back in his office chair, watching the scene in front of the portal captured by the reporter inside the helicopter using a super telephoto lens.
"Wow, they've really lost all shame, forming an illegal team like this, huh?" Han Che said while eating potato chips and watching the live stream.
"Six people, five sets of full gear. That new squad is standing with them too. This squad's equipment is bad; are they wearing level 4 armor and level 3 helmets?"
Han Che licked the potato chip crumbs off his fingers. "Looks like we can't be too Western this time. We still need to break these three teams up and fight them separately."
[Congratulations, host, you have successfully reached the point where the prison opens for the third time.]
The system's emotionless, mechanical voice suddenly rang in Han Che's ears without his prompting.
"What the hell?"
[The host persisted until the third opening, and the "First Entry into Player World" achievement has been completed.]
[Now rewarding those who strengthen prison defenses]
"Huh?" Han Che heard the system's words in his ear and a bad feeling arose spontaneously.
"Dear viewers! The prison area portal has reopened! Will Bald Eagle and Samurai Sword be able to reverse their decline this time, or will they repeat their mistakes? We shall wait and see!" The live broadcast audio from the phone simultaneously entered Han Che's mind.
"What do you mean? Can't you finish your sentence? System?" Han Che shouted at the office ceiling.
What is this guy babbling about? I'm about to start working, and he's giving out rewards?
What kind of reward was given?
Strengthen prison defenses? How?
My prison is impregnable, easy to defend and difficult to attack; players can't take it down!
Bang bang bang bang!
Gunshots suddenly rang out from outside the door, very close!
"What? What happened? How could it be so fast?" Han Che slammed his hand on the table and stood up, immediately shouting, "Shi Ding! Shi Ding! What happened?"
A melodious whistle suddenly rang out, its penetrating power piercing directly into Han Che's eardrums.
"What..." Han Che's pupils shrank suddenly. How could he have forgotten that the prison should not be so empty!
What kind of prison only has guards and no prisoners?
"Chaos! It's starting! Hahahaha!"
Lin Feng and Lin Rui pushed open the office door and dragged the injured Lin Kun in. Shi Ding and Shi Lei followed behind them, holding shields as they backed into the room.
Bullets flew in from outside and struck the riot shields with a clanging sound.
"Warden... Boss!" Shi Ding was the last to enter and brought up the rear. After entering, he closed the office door and held it shut tightly.
"A group of prisoners appeared out of nowhere and started shooting at us. We..." Shi Ding was clearly startled and stammered.
"I understand." Han Che patted Shi Ding on the shoulder, then squatted down to look at Lin Kun, who had been shot in the arm. "Are you still okay? Stay in my office and wait for us."
"No! Boss! I'm fine! I'm going to fight!" Lin Kun said through gritted teeth.
Han Che didn't hesitate, "Okay, Lin Rui, stop the bleeding and bandage him!"
"Shi Ding, Shi Lei, open the door!"
"yes!"
The two men set up their shields and pushed open the door.
Ding ding ding ding!
The sound of bullets whistling through the air struck the gate and the two riot shields that had been erected.
Han Che leaped from behind the shield, aimed and fired in mid-air, using the high-speed gas-guided Ash-12. The 12.7mm super-large caliber bursts made Han Che's palms go numb.
The three prisoners in the corridor immediately fell to the ground.
"Damn it, this bare Ash gun with its rate of fire increased is so hard to control!" Han Che shook his slightly numb hand.
Only three ordinary prisoners came up! Through the glass, Han Che looked down at the administrative area.
really!
It's a raven!
Raven swaggered around among the desks in the administrative district, occasionally tossing two yellow smoke bombs onto the ground.
Several prisoners wielding sledgehammers stood nearby, eyeing him menacingly.
"Forgot about this thing!" Han Che stared at the several large hammers, his eyelids twitching wildly.
Raven, who had its back to Han Che, suddenly turned its head to the side, its contorted movement accompanied by a strange smile.
Even Han Che, the warden, was taken aback!
"I wonder how the other prison guards are doing?" Han Che's heart clenched. Scattered gunshots could be heard all over the prison.
Han Che didn't know which side was his own people exchanging fire and which side was the players firing.
There's no other way but to ignore the prison guards outside for now!
The sudden appearance of the ravens and the prisoners made it impossible for Han Che to carry out his plan!
Fragmented battle, gunshots and footsteps from all directions, plus Raven and Thor downstairs!
"You really know how to reward me! You damn system!" Han Che gritted his teeth, looking down and grabbing his hair, his chaotic thoughts tangled in a knot in his head.
"Heh," Han Che straightened up after only a few seconds, slowly putting his hands behind his back. "That's right, this is more like Tide Prison."
Han Che spoke calmly as he slowly walked through the middle of Shi Ding and Shi Lei back to his office.
"Let's restore this place to its original state." As Han Che entered the room, the two shield-bearers retreated in unison to protect the warden.
Then the door to the warden's office slowly closed.
Ta-da! Ta-da!
A powerful background music blared from inside the office, rivaling the sharp, melodious whistling outside the door.
"Come on, come on!" The corners of his mouth twitched upwards beneath the mask.
"I'd like to see how you plan to play this game."
……
"What the f***? What the hell is going on?"
John was so frightened by the various gunshots blaring inside the prison that he dared not step through the prison gates.
"No? Is this right? Why is the situation different every time I come?"
The higher-ups have given a strict order: the Bald Eagle Association must personally kill the map boss this time in order to salvage their pitiful stock market.
The pressure from the major shareholders was so intense that John was terrified. He hadn't slept a wink for the past three days and was sporting huge dark circles under his eyes.
John looked at the five people behind him and forced himself to cheer up.
"We're not afraid of them!" John raised his fist. "We have a full six of us, five complete squads! Even if those NPCs overheat their guns, they can't penetrate our armor!"
"Don't be afraid! Let's go in!"
The Bald Eagle Society's last operation failed because one member went missing. This time, the team consists of John, Cole, and George, who was thrown in as a substitute after offending a leader within the Bald Eagle Society.
He was well aware of what this operation meant, so he huddled at the back of the group, trembling and silent.
"Captain John, the situation inside this prison is too complicated, completely different from before! Why don't we observe from the outside first?" Shimada of the Samurai Sword Association said to John.
"Let's wait and see! If we wait and see, the warden will be killed by someone else, and our mission will be considered a failure!" John roared in exasperation.
"Six people, all top-tier! What are you afraid of! We'll charge and kill them!"
"Follow me!" John took a deep breath, gritted his teeth, and charged straight toward the core area.
Shimada had no choice but to follow along, having no reason to fall behind this time.
Footsteps and gunshots rang out all around, making everyone tense!
Boom!
An NPC in yellow clothes fired at the corner, hitting John at the front of the group. The armor made two muffled thuds, and John didn't even feel any pain.
Cole reacted quickly, raising his gun and firing, killing the prisoner.
"Hmph! Nothing special!" John scoffed, touching the small dent in his armor.
"Don't be afraid, everyone! It looks like an inmate has escaped from this prison!"
"Thank goodness! This is actually a good thing for us! We don't have to worry about the treacherous prison guards ambushing us anymore!"
"Charge! Kill the warden! For the Bald Eagle!"
John continued charging toward the core area, and the five men behind him sighed heavily and had no choice but to follow.
