Chapter 10

Caesar's Strength

After wiping the axe, Caesar lowered his eyes.

Suddenly, Caesar swung the hand axe backward, about to hit his target, when he raised his hand.

The axe embedded itself heavily in the wooden wall beside him, and the fine wood chips hit Mohr's face painfully.

Mohr paused slightly, his breath almost stopping, as a cold voice rang in his ears.

"Moore, I'm warning you. Don't sneak up behind me next time, or I might accidentally kill you."

After saying that, Caesar ignored Mor and strode forward into the dark corridor ahead.

Moor broke out in a cold sweat, wiped it off, and said irritably, "Damn it, what a madman."

Despite his seemingly fearless nature, Mor could now sense that Caesar was no pushover and would show no mercy if he wanted to kill Mor.

Moore tightened his grip on the iron skewer and followed with heavy steps.

As Moore walked down the corridor, where light and shadow mingled, he saw rows of zombies lying on the ground.

Every single one of the zombies had severe, broken wounds, clearly indicating that the person who did it used tremendous force.

Several zombies not only had their heads cleaved in two, but their chests were also split open, with their internal organs and uncongealed black blood spilling all over the ground.

The slippery feel of his feet made Moore curse incessantly.

As More walked down the corridor, he saw Caesar standing among the many corpses. Caesar coldly uttered a single sentence and continued on his way.

"Hurry up, it's your hand that's injured, not your leg."

Caesar's pupils were somewhat bloodshot, perhaps from the intense killing of the zombies, which terrified Moore.

Soon, all the walking zombies on this floor turned into dead bodies lying on the ground.

Caesar also found some mineral water and some snacks and bread.

He casually stuffed everything into a backpack and tossed it to Moll behind him.

Moore stood there, holding his backpack, lost in thought.

"Moore, since you don't have the guts to kill walkers, you might as well be a handyman and carry your bags properly."

Moore looked down at his backpack, then at Caesar, whose words held no doubt, then at the axe in Caesar's hand and the walking corpse on the ground.

"OK."

Compared to Caesar, More admits he's not as manly.

There are emergency stairwells outside this building, which are usually used for escape in the event of a fire.

Caesar smashed the glass and swept the shards off the door frame with his axe.

Stepping out of the building, Caesar felt a slight sway as he stepped onto the emergency staircase.

Looking down, the entire emergency staircase was rusted, and many of the bolts on one side of the wall had fallen off.

It is clearly in disrepair.

"Fuck, these scumbags who only know how to swindle taxpayers' money," Caesar cursed the inhumane US government.

They even cut corners on such an important facility and didn't maintain it.

bang——

Mo'er jumped boldly onto the emergency stairwell, his trembling feeling becoming increasingly pronounced.

Caesar suddenly raised his hand: "Moore, this staircase is quite rusted; it probably won't last much longer."

"Let's get down quickly, be careful."

Upon hearing this, Moore instinctively placed his hand on the railing and nodded.

The emergency stairwells are narrow on each floor, and there are not many staircases between the buildings.

The two ran downhill at high speed.

Some of the zombies inside the building were startled by the noise and quickly came out of hibernation, sticking their bodies out and rummaging through the emergency stairwell outside.

Caesar walked past the walker, his axe slicing across its cheek, tearing open its mouth, and ripping off its jaw.

Behind him, Moore thrust the iron skewer into the walker's pupil, then pulled it out forcefully, splattering brain matter out with it.

The two didn't finish off all the zombies, and more zombies kept pouring into the building, rushing onto the emergency staircase.

The stairs creaked under the weight of the weight, sending a shiver down Kaisermore's spine.

Caesar increased his speed again. "Run faster!"

Moll gritted his teeth, gripped the railing to give himself a push, and sped up.

The two fought like characters in a video game, from the top floor to the bottom.

Every now and then, zombies would fall from the sky, crashing to the ground like tomatoes, turning to mush.

When he reached the bottom two or three floors, Caesar could hear the screws snapping and the stairs breaking.

Caesar looked up and saw that, at some point, the stairs above had become surprisingly tilted.

"Jump! Jump down quickly!"

After reminding Moore, Caesar sprinted over the railing and tugged at the railing behind him.

The railing slowed Caesar down a bit, and after landing, Caesar did several tumbles.

They managed to escape unharmed.

When Caesar turned around, he saw More fall into a garbage bag beside him.

"Fuck, what a load of crap..."

Mo'er unleashed a torrent of angry curses, a veritable cacophony of birdsong and fragrant flowers.

The emergency staircase made a whistling sound, screws snapped, the frame broke, and the entire staircase crashed heavily to the ground.

The zombies above, along with the stairs, crashed to the ground.

The powerful gravity shattered the ground, dust and smoke obscured the stairs, and the ground shook.

Caesar watched as the zombies gradually surrounded him, a hint of joy flashing in his eyes.

The original plan was to use the flesh and blood of the zombies to deceive the horde and leave Atlanta.

Unexpectedly, the zombies were all attracted by the noise on the stairs, and now they could escape.

"Mohr, let's go."

With a shout, Caesar tried to charge forward.

"hiss--"

Mohr groaned in pain, then paused before speaking.

"I can't go on. You go first, I'll catch up with you later."

When Caesar turned around, Moore said to himself, "Don't worry, I didn't die even when that cop handcuffed me to the rooftop, how could I possibly lose my life because of a sprain?"

Before Mor could finish speaking, Caesar grabbed Mor by the collar and slung him over his back.

"Shut up, you talk too much."

At his cold reply, Moore shut his mouth.

After shutting up, Caesar carried Mor on his back, and the two of them used the gaps in the horde of zombies to kill a few more before arriving at the spot where Caesar had parked the car.

In the dark, wide pickup truck, Caesar tossed Moore into the driver's seat and sat in the passenger seat himself.

"You drive."

Moll covered his injured foot and rubbed it gently, which quickly relieved the pain.

His foot injury was not serious; it was just a soft tissue contusion that would heal on its own after a period of rest.

"Hey boss, how can I drive with my foot injured?"

Moore forced a smile, revealing yellow teeth, and raised his eyebrows, feigning helplessness.

Caesar sat in the passenger seat, took out some snacks from his backpack, tore them open, and poured them into his mouth.

He mumbled incoherently, "If you can't drive, you're useless. I'll kill you!"

"Oh, this is really scary~" Mo's smile became even more teasing.

Suddenly, his smile froze as a pistol was pressed against his face.

Caesar, munching on his bread, said, "Drive."

"Yes, sir." Moore raised his hands in obedience.

The pickup truck roared to life and crashed out of control.
