Chapter 9
, OI, giving up so quickly?
By the time he returned, the truck had already started moving.
The truck's cargo bed was facing the rear door, and the truck stopped.
The rear compartment opened, and Glenn nimbly climbed up. Rick and Morales handed him supplies, which Glenn then tossed back into the compartment.
Jacques and Andrea also stepped forward to help.
The two women put all their effort into moving the supplies, and for a while, they were just as fast as the three men.
Although T-boy only suffered minor external injuries, his arm was also attacked, making it impossible for him to lift heavy objects. He could only slowly lift some light items.
Jimmy and Rip, who were sitting in the front, rolled over to come in and help.

While the others were carrying things, Caesar walked into the lobby of the department store.
There were two glass doors; the first one was broken at some point.
The second layer also showed numerous cracks and was on the verge of collapse; it wouldn't be surprising if it shattered completely at any moment.
The zombies outside, separated by the glass door, were unaffected by the explosion; their only thought was to break the glass and eat the flesh inside.
Caesar looked at the zombies everywhere, took a few deep breaths, and placed his hand on the gun holster at his waist. The cold gun gave him a little sense of security.
"Caesar, we've finished moving everything."
Rick walked over, hands on his hips, hat in his hand, his clothes soaked with sweat.
The words had barely left his mouth when a snapping sound was heard.
The glass door shattered completely, and several zombie arms pierced through the cracks, the sharp glass slicing through flesh and blood, widening the gap further.
Caesar turned and shouted, "Rick, get in the car and let's go!"
"Okay." Rick put on his hat, turned around, and ran a few steps.
They stopped, and Rick looked at Caesar, saying, "Aren't you coming with us?"
Caesar placed his hand on his lap, took out a hand axe, and said without turning his head, "I have to go find Moore."
"Are you crazy?"
Rick didn't understand what Caesar was thinking; the walkers were about to break in.
"Don't worry, I'll come back alive. Go!"
Caesar's voice was calm; this was not a decision he made on a whim.
Rick glanced at the zombies that had broken through the glass door, gritted his teeth, and ran towards the back door.
When he arrived at the back door, Glenn and the others were already seated in the carriage, waiting for him.
Rick was pulled into the truck by several people, and the truck slowly started moving.
"Where is Caesar?" Glenn suddenly asked.
Rick's breath hitched: "He's going to find Moore."
"Go find Mor?" Andrea couldn't believe what she was hearing.
That lecherous fellow is clearly a prime candidate for prison.
To risk one's life for such a scumbag—in Andrea's eyes, that's practically madness.
T-boy and Morales didn't look much better either.
Rip, who was driving in the front, glanced at the carriage but didn't say anything; Caesar had told him about this beforehand.
……
Inside the department store.
The glass door shattered on the ground, and countless hideous zombies passed through the door and entered the hall.
Caesar took two steps back, then struck heavily with his axe. The thick axe blade carried powerful kinetic energy, easily smashing open the walker's head.
Since his transmigration, Caesar's body has become increasingly powerful, his stamina increasingly abundant, and his movements increasingly swift.
Caesar fought and retreated, his axe smoothly smashing open head after head.
The zombies don't move around; they just walk straight ahead and attack from only one direction.
When one zombie falls, the next zombie will be pushed forward by the zombies behind it.
So Caesar raised his axe and, anticipating the moment, brought it down.
It looked as if the zombies were deliberately banging their heads against the axe.
Caesar killed thirty or forty zombies in a row, his breathing became a little disordered, and he ran back a few steps to shake off the zombies' pursuit.
After climbing the stairs, Caesar stood at the top to rest, waiting for the walkers to come up one by one.
The zombie struggled up the stairs, but after a few steps it was struck on the head by an axe and fell shakily down the stairs.
And so Caesar fought his way up the stairs.
When they reached the top floor, there were only a dozen or so zombies left.
Caesar strode to the back of the rooftop door, pulled it aside, and used it to block himself.
On the rooftop, Moore stared at the suddenly opened iron gate, his expression changing as an ominous premonition gripped his heart.
Sure enough, the next moment, several zombies appeared at the door.
Their eyes were fixed on Moore, and they opened their arms to walk towards him.
Moore rolled over and stood up, but his body was held back by his arm, so he could only hunch over.
He clenched his fist with one hand, watching the approaching zombies warily, constantly shifting his position, trying to find a suitable stance to fight back.
"Come on, you bastard."
"Haha, you want to eat my flesh? Eat my ass!"
As he spoke, one of the zombies pounced on it first.
With quick reflexes, Moore dodged to the side, and the zombie fell to the ground.
With a gleam of delight in his eyes, Moore strode forward, intending to smash the zombie's head with his foot.
But the next second, her hand was pulled and she couldn't move forward no matter what she did.
Moore yelled angrily, "Fuck!!!"
Before he could vent his emotions, the other zombies pounced on him again.
Moore had limited space to dodge, but he still managed to avoid the walkers. Without any tools, Moore could only use his fists to smash the walkers' brains.
For a zombie, such behavior is no different from scratching an itch.
Moore's eyes lit up. Taking advantage of a lull in the walkers' attack, he took off the cross from his neck, clenched it in his fist, and used it as a brass knuckle.
After several attempts, Moore was exhausted and had killed three or four zombies.
Moore, his face covered in blood and panting, said, "Fuck, didn't God say He would forgive the world? Why didn't He save me?"
The zombie appeared in Moore's sight, opened its hideous, bloody maw, and lunged at Moore.
Moore was too weak to resist, and a smile appeared on his face.
In Moore's sight, the walker suddenly stiffened, its body going limp like a robot that had lost power.
"Hey, you've given up so quickly?"
Caesar drew his hand axe, blood splattering, and looked at Mor with a smile.
Then Caesar swung his axe, smashing it onto the heads of the zombies and annihilating them all in the blink of an eye.
After eliminating the walkers, Caesar took out a key and tossed it into Mor's arms.
Here, the key.
Moore took the handcuffs and quickly unlocked them.
On the wrists where the handcuffs had been applied, there were specks of blood and broken skin, showing that Moore had a strong will to survive.
"So, next, we need to escape."
Without saying anything unnecessary, Caesar took the lead and strode towards the rooftop of a nearby building.
Taking a deep breath, Moore looked at the walkers on the ground.
The wounds on each zombie were clean and sharp, showing that the person who did the work was very precise and did not hesitate at all.
Moore put the blood-stained cross back around his neck, picked up a rusty iron skewer from the ground, and then followed.
Caesar turned and went into the building.
The building is carpeted, and there are office cubicles, a tea room, and other facilities. It is an office building.
A zombie lay quietly on the ground.
Caesar walked over, glanced at the wound on the walker's head, and after confirming death, wiped the blood off the axe with the walker's clothes.
