Chapter 72

Delivering Letters

Every shot hit their heads; they hadn't converted yet, their eyes fixed on Horus.

Horus looked around carefully and found that the rest of the people had been injured by stray bullets.

Standing amidst the corpses, with the surrounding combatants cowering in fear, Horus grew increasingly irritated and roared, "Get them to the medical ward for treatment, and burn all these zombies!"

After saying this, Horus went to his house.

The atmosphere, which he had just managed to ease, became tense again, and there would definitely be all sorts of rumors circulating about the ranch during this time.

Horus paused, turned around, and ordered, "Bring Ram's body into my house."

When Ram's body was brought to Horus's house, Horus found a piece of cardboard wrapped in plastic film in his clothes.

There is only one sentence above:

"The collaboration is complete!"

Horus paused for a moment, then slammed the cardboard onto the floor and stomped on it several times, cursing, "You son of a bitch, Caesar!"

"You just wait, I'll definitely get my revenge!"

After calming down, Horus hesitated for a moment before choosing to accept this cooperation at a great cost.

Only by accepting this cooperation can Horus gain greater benefits and take revenge on that bastard Caesar.

Horus's eyes were dark and unfathomable, with specks of blood within them.

……

A few days later, the boundaries of Caesar Ranch were redefined.

Caesar finally integrated the several ranches into one place and began building cabins at intervals.

It can provide housing for patrolling combat team members, and also provide houses for residents so that they can learn how to raise livestock and expand the scope of cattle and sheep breeding as soon as possible.

A cowboy rode his horse to the gate of Caesar's Ranch, dismounted respectfully, and handed over an envelope.

Today, Moore was guarding the gate. He had a cigarette in his mouth and frowned as he looked at the envelope back and forth.

"Captain Mor, this is from Boss Leon. He asked me to deliver it to Chief Caesar personally."

Moore took two steps back, holding the envelope, and beckoned, "Search!"

The cowboy raised his hands and offered no resistance. After the search was completed, two handguns and a dagger were found.

There were no suspicious marks on him.

Moore pointed to the horse the cowboy had ridden in and said, "The horse can't be brought in. Only you come with me; the pistols and such will be kept by us."

After the cowboy agreed, Moore drove him to the conference room.

Caesar arrived at the conference room ahead of time.

As soon as the cowboy entered and saw Caesar, he wanted to hand him the envelope, but the envelope was in Moore's hands.

More walked up to Caesar and handed him the envelope.

Caesar opened the envelope and read it carefully.

The envelope contained very few words, only the time, place, firearms, and equipment.

It didn't say how to attack or which side would be the main attacker.

Caesar narrowed his eyes, his conviction growing stronger as he considered Phil as the captain of old man Leon's expedition.

"Okay, I've seen the envelope, I have no objection."

"You can go back and reply to Leon now."

"Okay, thank you!" The cowboy quickly left the meeting room after receiving the reply.

"Boss, should we send someone to inform Horus?" Moore asked after the cowboy had walked away.

Caesar nodded: "Send a cowboy over, but make sure he's careful. I suspect Horus is still angry."

"Besides, even if we don't notify him, old man Leon will."

After receiving the envelope from Caesar, Moore thought about it. There weren't many cowboys on the ranch; in fact, there were only a handful, such as Caesar's four confidants.

Caesar would certainly not agree to taking them on such a risk.

If you send newly joined cowboys on an adventure and they die, they'll become paranoid and it will have a bad impact.

If this won't work and that won't work, why don't we find someone outside the ranch?

Moore smiled. "Yeah, I can find a cowboy outside."

Do it as soon as you think of it.

Moore took his men out and found a small ranch nearby.

The ranch is run by only one person, the rancher, but people often go missing from his farm.

Moore led his men straight into the rancher's house and forcibly searched it.

Inside the underground warehouse, Moore discovered the remains of several people.

Among them were children and women, who had clearly all fallen victim to this man's cruelty.

So Moore and his gang beat up the rancher, and Moore even dug out a piece of the rancher's flesh.

They put something inside and then sewed it back up.

The entire process was treated with bacteria, which made the rancher tremble with fear.

"Hey, you little brat." Moore looked at the results of his surgery and nodded in satisfaction.

"Take this envelope to Horus Ranch, and your mission will be complete."

"Then come back and I'll disarm this miniature bomb for you."

Moore poked the crude stitches with his finger, causing the rancher to hiss in pain.

"Remember, if you don't deliver the letter and instead remove the wound yourself, this miniature bomb will automatically explode."

"Have you ever seen fireworks? Just like that, your internal organs and stuff all explode out of your stomach, it's so beautiful."

The rancher's eyes were filled with fear, and he nodded repeatedly, trembling, "I will be obedient, I will be obedient."

"Please, don't use me as a firework."

"Hey, that's more like it." Moore walked up to the rancher, looked at his frightened expression, and nodded with relief. "Go ahead and don't worry."

"When you come back, I'll return the ranch to you, and I'll also give you some food as payment."

Then Moore untied the rancher, gave him a horse, and handed him the envelope.

"Captain, is that miniature bomb real?" a team member asked curiously.

He genuinely didn't know the ranch had such high-tech equipment, and blinked curiously.

Moore chuckled and gave him a light tap on the head. "You watch too many movies."

"Of course it's fake."

"If he hadn't died at Horus Ranch, he would have died when he came back. Otherwise, I would have really given this ranch back to him."

He's a scumbag anyway, nobody cares about his life.

In Moore's view, being able to use him was the most valuable moment in his sinful and miserable life.

When Moore returned to the ranch, he reported the incident to Caesar.

Moore stood in front of Caesar's desk, straightening his posture, ready to receive Caesar's reprimand.

After all, such behavior is unacceptable to a righteous rancher.

Caesar chuckled. "What are you doing?"

"You did a great job this time."

Morel even wondered if there was something wrong with his ears, how come Caesar wasn't scolding him, but praising him instead.

Caesar waved his hand and said, "Moore, I don't care what you did or what methods you used."

"I only care about one thing: whether it benefits our ranch."
