Chapter 65

The Dinner After the Dinner

"Hello, beautiful lady." Horus's eyes lit up when he saw Andrea, and he stepped forward to say this.

"Ah!" Andrea was startled and quickly stood up, drawing her dagger from her waist and pointing it at Horus. "Who are you?"

Horus's eyes flashed with disdain, but he still raised his hands, feigning fear, and deliberately said, "I, I'm a cowboy from this ranch, I just saw you coming this way alone."

"I was a little worried that something might have happened to you, so I came to check on you!"

Andrea hated being looked down upon, and this reminded her of Caesar. She lunged forward and shouted, "Get the hell away from me!"

Meeting you was the biggest surprise of my life!

"What an arrogant man!" Andrea looked Horus up and down, her eyes filled with undisguised disdain.

This infuriated Horus, who cursed her under his breath as a stupid woman.

He forced a smile, suppressing his anger, and said cautiously, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to look down on you."

"But I don't think you need to be so strong-willed."

"You think you're so strong? Who are you calling strong?!" Horus hit Andrea's sore spot with pinpoint accuracy, making her furious.

"Uh... I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

After some arguing, the two finally sat down.

"What do you want with me?" Andrea wasn't stupid; Horus's appearance was too suspicious and seemed to have a strong purpose.

Horus was covered in sweat. This was the first time he had encountered such a difficult woman, like a powder keg that would explode at the slightest touch.

"I just wanted to learn about your ranch."

After thinking for a moment, Horus said naturally.

The timing of my appearance is quite coincidental. I might as well be honest and see if I can get some information out of you with sincerity.

As for what would happen if Caesar found out, it wouldn't affect Horus much; at most, this stupid woman would be executed.

Andrea chuckled twice and looked at Horus: "You're so stupid, you still want to gather information?"

Holy crap...

Horus's forehead bulged with two veins, and his eyes darted around as he came up with a brilliant idea.

"I've only been to Caesar's Ranch before and I know Caesar. But he's changed a lot now, and he seems a bit unfamiliar to me. I'd like to know more about him."

Andrea looked up at him in surprise: "Then why don't you just go find him directly?"

"Uh..." Horus paused for a moment before speaking, "He was talking to Leader Leon, so I didn't interrupt."

"Alright, I'll tell you."

Andrea felt there was nothing wrong with saying it, and in her opinion, Horus was so stupid that he would actually send him to gather information.

The person who sent him must have something wrong with their head.

Andrea then recounted what happened after she and her group encountered Caesar.

However, Andrea was careful not to reveal anything about the CDC and the food wholesale market.

Horus's eyes lit up as he listened. It turned out that Horus had gone to Atlanta to search and had even recruited two teams.

No wonder there were so many more people suddenly. The continuous expansion of his power made Caesar more confident and powerful.

Horus nodded, understanding why Caesar had changed so much. If he went out with two or three people and came back with forty or fifty, he would also become arrogant and overconfident.

Thinking he had a clear understanding of Caesar's group, Horus, having achieved his goal, stopped wasting words with Andrea and simply said, "Alright, thanks."

"I have to go herd the cattle. Goodbye."

"Goodbye!" Andrea waved her hand, looked at the grass at her feet, and stared blankly into space.

Two figures blocked Andrea's view, and the grass was trampled. Andrea looked up and saw T-boy and Morales.

Their expressions were serious, and the way they looked at Andrea made her feel terribly unfamiliar.

"Andrea, what have you done?" Morales asked coldly.

Andrea looked at the two of them nervously: "I..."

"What's wrong with me?"

Andrea recalled her memories and quickly focused on Horus, and considering how quickly the two of them appeared, there was only one possibility.

"You're spying on me?" Andrea's eyes widened, pointing to herself. "You really think I'll leak information?"

Morales and T-boy exchanged a glance. After leaving the conference room, Caesar instructed them to keep a close watch on Andrea.

They themselves never expected that someone would actually come to Andrea to inquire about the ranch.

Morales said, "Andrea, we know you haven't revealed the specifics of the ranch, but we'll still have to monitor you after we bring you back."

"That's right, until we're sure you're really not a suspect," T added.

Andrea stood up. "Weren't you all listening the whole time?"

"Don't you know whether I've leaked information or not?"

"Andrea," Morales said, "all we know is that you didn't reveal much during your conversation. Whether there were any other acts of betrayal, we don't know."

T-boy kindly reminded him, "You don't need to take such a big responsibility. Just accept the surveillance. If you're okay, you don't need to be afraid of anything."

Ultimately, Andrea succumbed because she couldn't prove her innocence; the only way she could was to be monitored.

At dinner, Caesar and his entourage participated in a banquet at the Leon Ranch.

The banquet was attended by people from the three major ranches. Although it was a last-minute event, old man Leon still made it a grand affair.

After all, the three ranches are now the three strongest forces in Blackpine Valley, and the other ranches are far inferior to them.

Dinner was nothing special, just plenty of meat and wine. The meat was all from Leon Ranch, including roasted beef brisket, which was very fragrant and tender.

Caesar, Horus, and old man Leon sat at a table. Old man Leon raised his wine glass, looking cheerful and festive.

The three clinked glasses, creating a lively atmosphere.

Horus left soon after the banquet.

Just as Caesar and his men were about to leave, a cowboy appeared next to Caesar's vehicle.

He whispered, "Lord Caesar, Leader Leon requests your presence!"

Caesar narrowed his eyes, a smile playing on his lips. "Lead the way."

"Morales, T-boy, you two come with me."

"Mohr, you guard the vehicle."

Led by Caesar, the group arrived at a small cabin. The cabin was cozy but not large, and it looked like a single cabin for the cowboy leader.

I knocked on the door and heard someone say, "Come in."

It was old man Leon's voice.

The cowboy leading the way opened the wooden door and let Caesar in, blocking Morales and T-boy behind him.

Caesar winked at the two men and said, "Wait for me outside."
