Chapter 70
Impact
"I am from Horus Ranch." Ram looked at Caesar respectfully, his face clearly showing confidence.
As if waiting to see Caesar's shocked expression.
But Caesar's expression remained unchanged, and he countered, "Is that all?"
With a cold, unwavering voice, Caesar slowly stood up, looked down at Ram, and reached out a hand to grasp Ram's neck. "If you have something to say, say it quickly, or it might become your last words."
Caesar's strength was immense, instantly turning Ram's face purple.
Ram opened his mouth as if to beg for mercy.
But Caesar held on tightly, and only after Ram experienced several tens of seconds of suffocation did Caesar release his grip.
Ram lay on the floor, breathing greedily, with clear handprints on his neck. He glanced at Caesar in horror.
He hadn't expected Caesar to be so tyrannical.
Moor pursed his lips, but the corners of his mouth still turned up slightly; he was still happy to see Ram get his comeuppance.
Caesar took two steps back: "Ram, tell me everything you know. It's not just that Horus sent you to gather intelligence, or that he invited me to cooperate with him in attacking old man Leon. I urge you to tell me everything."
Ram's eyes narrowed sharply. He had only said that he was a Horusian, so why did Caesar know so much?
Countless horrifying thoughts echoed in my mind: Could there be a traitor among Caesar's men on Horus's side?
In a daze, Ram saw Caesar's deep, black hole-like pupils and felt as if he had been seen through in an instant.
"Go ahead, besides these, I'm also very interested in your ranch's combat personnel, weapon numbers, and patrol routes."
Caesar intends to squeeze every last drop of value out of Ram.
Ram paused, then said, trembling slightly, "I am a Horus, you can't treat me like this."
"Really? Can't we?" Caesar asked in a smirk.
"Let's give it a try!"
Caesar then gave Daryl and More a wink and turned to leave the confinement room.
Amy and the others followed.
Ryan strode forward and asked, "Boss, are we not cooperating with Horus?"
Caesar paused, turned to Ryan, and asked, "Do you think Horus would refuse our cooperation for the sake of a mere subordinate?"
"Uh..." Ryan thought for a moment, recalling his past memories of Horus, and looked up to say, "Horus would never do that."
"That's it. Not everyone cherishes their companions like I do." Caesar smiled, patted Ryan on the shoulder, and walked out.
The interrogation lasted until midnight, when a mangled, barely recognizable human figure, named Ram, finally confessed everything.
Daryl was writing something on the map, while Mor grinned maliciously and continued to slash Ram's body with his knife.
Ram's screams were almost exhausted; he was taking in more air than he was exhaling, and it was clear he wouldn't live much longer.
Caesar entered the solitary confinement cell, and Mor straightened up, casually plunging a knife into Ram's shoulder.
Ram suddenly regained consciousness, widened her eyes, cried out twice, and then fainted again.
"Have you obtained all the intelligence?" Caesar asked.
Daryl handed over the map. "It's all here, but its authenticity still needs to be verified."
"At that time, I will go to Horus to conduct further reconnaissance and confirm the intelligence."
Caesar carefully examined the information on the map: the locations of warehouses, armories, garages, etc., the number of personnel, the number of combat personnel, and the number of patrol personnel.
However, more specific details were lacking, such as patrol routes, how to rotate shifts, and the quantity of warehouse reserves.
It's understandable that Ramu wouldn't know about these positions, as she's not one of them.
Caesar nodded with satisfaction. "This interrogation was very valuable."
Caesar was naturally delighted by this unexpected surprise.
Moore vented his anger at the same time.
"Now that we've got the intelligence, is this person still of any use?" Moore reached out and moved his hand back and forth on the hilt of the knife stuck in Ram's shoulder, and blood instantly oozed from the wound.
Ram moved his head, his eyes half-open, and muttered, "Kill me, kill me."
Please!
"Can this person keep going?"
Ignoring Ram's pleas for mercy, Caesar pointed at him and asked.
Mohr nodded, pressing his elbow against the hilt of the knife, his weight causing the hilt to sink deep into his flesh.
Ram was repeatedly tormented, like a faulty light bulb, sometimes forced to wake up, sometimes fainting from the pain, never finding relief.
"He managed to hold on, and look at him now. He withstood our two brothers' abuse for two or three hours. He's got a tough life!"
"Alright, let's go, let's give Horus a surprise."
After receiving an affirmative answer, Caesar instructed the two men to lift Ram into the back of the pickup truck and then went to the armory to retrieve some items.
The pickup truck had no lights on, and its black exterior moved through the night.
In a short time, the pickup truck arrived outside Horus's ranch.
Caesar pulled back the bolt, glanced at Mor and Daryl, and asked, "Are you all ready?"
Daryl no longer carried the familiar crossbow, but instead an automatic rifle, as did Moor.
Moore chuckled hoarsely. "Don't worry, boss. Let's have a big fight!"
Daryl responded.
Caesar patted his chest, the thick bulletproof vest making a thumping sound that made him feel incredibly safe.
"Go!" Caesar slammed on the gas pedal, almost pressing it into the fuel tank.
The pickup trucks, no longer cautious and discreet, roared and charged forward with great fanfare.
The front fascia, now fitted with a crash barrier, is illuminated.
The sudden appearance of the lights startled the drowsy patrol team, instantly waking them up.
The lights were so bright that they had to cover their eyes and try to find something to hide behind.
Moore leaned out halfway, making a creaking turn, and pulled out an automatic rifle, firing wildly.
The car was jolting, and Moore didn't aim properly. He just raised his gun and fired in one direction without even looking.
Bullets struck the fortifications with a crackling sound, and two unlucky men were hit by ricochets, letting out screams.
With the pervasive smell of blood, the others dared not lean out, fearing they would be attacked at any moment.
In reality, very few people were actually shot.
Mohr fired fiercely, pinning them down.
The pickup truck immediately approached the gate of Horus Ranch and crashed into it in an instant.
Several cowboys near the gate were sent flying backwards, rolling several times, seemingly oblivious to their fate.
The loud bombardment alerted the people of Horus Ranch, who quickly turned on their lights and fumbled for their weapons.
Caesar opened the car door and yelled, "Get out of the car and pull Ram out!"
He then picked up the grenade launcher and fired a shot at an empty space where there were no houses.
