Chapter 89

Party

The remaining team members took off their masks and returned to their families, feeling the love and care of their loved ones.

Glenn stood there all alone.

Caesar smiled and walked towards Glenn, embracing him. The two didn't speak, just hugged for a while.

Caesar released Glenn, patted him on the shoulder, and looked him up and down: "Glenn, you've gotten a lot stronger."

Glenn smiled and shifted awkwardly from side to side. "I've been eating well lately and taking good care of myself."

Caesar looked up and glanced around. Not a single member of the combat squad that had followed Glenn was missing. "You did a good job. All the team members survived."

Glenn then looked at his team members, a relieved smile finally appearing on his face: "This is mainly due to their own efforts. They are all very capable and have a strong will to survive, plus there aren't many zombies in King's County."

"The harvest is plentiful, and the danger is not high."

Caesar nodded in satisfaction; the most important thing on this trip was the arms.

With the required quantity of weapons, his armory would be much fuller, and he could even provide plenty of firearms for the ranch people to practice shooting with.

In the post-apocalyptic world, practicing shooting is a luxury.

"Where are Jacques and the others?" Glenn asked.

On the ranch, the only people he recognized were the few who had gone to Atlanta with him to collect supplies.

Caesar tilted his head and said, "Jacqueline, well, she's in a relationship and has been helping me plan the town lately, so she doesn't have much time."

"Morales and T-boy are now my right-hand men, and they help me with things."

A hint of melancholy crossed Glenn's face, but then a smile returned as he thought about how his friends all had their own things to do.

Caesar put his arm around Glenn's shoulder and smiled meaningfully, "Don't worry, you'll soon have a home of your own."

Caesar's smile was strange. Glenn blinked in confusion, then immediately understood.

Caesar was probably referring to forming a large family with everyone on the ranch.

I think so.

Glenn wasn't very confident in his guess.

To celebrate Glenn's return and to welcome the former Horus Ranch members to the new team.

With a wave of his hand, Caesar arranged for Carol to throw a grand party.

Bring out all kinds of vegetables, fruits, and meats from the ranch's reserves for a bonfire party.

Carol doesn't care about supplies, but she's still troubled by them, for example, when she approached Amy with a list of supplies.

Amy reluctantly accepted the package and retrieved the items for Carol from the warehouse.

I don’t know if all warehouse managers feel this way, but Amy is becoming increasingly strict with the expenditures on the warehouse, and she immediately cuts off some unnecessary expenses.

It's fair to say that Amy's stinginess is well-known in the management department.

Carol had no choice but to push all the blame onto Caesar, and whispered something in Amy's ear.

This made Amy blush.

As supplies were gradually moved out of the warehouse, Amy watched with a pained expression.

Fearing that Amy might change her mind, Carol quickly cut off some supplies and led her men to move them away, not letting Amy see them any longer.

The supplies arrived, and Carol organized a group of women who were good at cooking.

Carol told them to hurry up and prepare the food, and put down what they were doing.

Under Carol's overall planning, a huge bonfire was erected in the center of the ranch.

The large bonfire was surrounded by small bonfires, like stars in the sky, forming concentric circles.

As night fell, joy began to leap across the pasture.

A torch was thrown into the large campfire, and the flames burst into flames, igniting all the campfires.

It was as if a fire had been ignited in the hearts of everyone on the ranch, smiles appeared on their faces unconsciously, music started playing, and the festive atmosphere began to brew.

People put down their work, went home to tidy up, put on clothes they thought looked good, and, holding their families' hands, appeared at the bonfire.

The crowds gathered, creating a real festive atmosphere.

The flames burned, shining warmly on everyone's faces, making them feel incredibly cozy.

The crowd grew larger and larger; almost everyone from the ranch had come.

Caesar, microphone in hand, stood before the large campfire and addressed all the ranch dwellers: "Today is a joyous day. Glenn, my combat squad leader."

Caesar pointed at Glenn, who stepped forward somewhat awkwardly, facing the intense gazes of the onlookers.

"He led a team of combat soldiers who made a lot of profit for our ranch. Thank you Glenn for all of our contributions."

Thunderous applause erupted from the crowd, mixed with whistles and cheers.

Faced with the kindness of the crowd, Glenn felt a warm current rush to his head, his face flushed, and his eyes welled up with tears. He nodded and thanked everyone for their kindness.

"And Rip, Jimmy, Rick... thank you for their hard work and dedication to us."

Caesar read out the names of all the combat squad members who went to King's County, and each name was met with applause from the crowd.

Rip held Beth and looked at her smugly.

Jimmy also felt a sense of responsibility and stood up straight, while his grandfather's eyes reddened.

Rick held Carl in his arms, with Lori standing beside him, as they thanked everyone for their applause.

Lori looked at Rick awkwardly; clearly, they had another argument after their reunion today.

Caesar didn't even need to guess to know that Lori was very resistant to Rick going to Kings County for the mission and asked him not to go in the future.

But now, in front of everyone, Lori didn't cause any trouble and just smiled.

After thanking the members who went to King County, Caesar talked about the members of Horus Ranch, telling the others that it was not easy for members of Horus Ranch to join the ranch.

After that, Caesar stopped talking and shouted, "Everyone, eat and drink well tonight, have fun!"

After saying that, Caesar turned off the microphone and went to Amy.

Amidst the crowd, music played, and Caesar embraced Amy, the two dancing together to the rhythm.

Tired from jumping, Amy pulled Caesar along and they ran to the table where the food was laid out.

He casually picked up two plates, filled them with some of his favorite food, and walked to a grassland to sit down, watching the crowd dancing hand in hand around the campfire.

The two sat on the grassland, with green grass below, brilliant stars above, and the everyday life of the people before them.

Amy snuggled into Caesar's arms, wanting him to feed her bite by bite.

Caesar looked at Amy's pretty face, fed her a bite of food, and Amy's cheeks puffed up as she chewed, like a balloon constantly expanding and shrinking.

Caesar couldn't resist giving it a squeeze; it was soft and bouncy, which elicited a coquettish retort from Amy: "What are you doing?"

The more Caesar heard the mumbled words, the more excited he became, and he squeezed harder.

Amy finished her food with difficulty, then flipped over and mounted Caesar, looking at Caesar beneath her who offered no resistance.

They looked at each other for two seconds, and then Amy kissed her deeply.
