Chapter 74

Eliminate them all

However, the people Phil killed were probably just the weakest of Horus's men.

After all, no one starts with their trump card.

As Caesar had predicted, when Phil and his men tried to continue their charge, they encountered more than twenty men in front of them. Each of them had a fierce expression, broad shoulders, and thick waists, and their equipment was superior to Phil's.

Phil had no way out. He swallowed hard and shouted, "Charge!"

Then he charged at the other person.

The next second, bullets came like a deluge, flying densely and piercing flesh, splattering blood mist.

Phil felt a shiver run through his body, but he felt no pain. He stared intently at Horus, who stood behind the group of people. "Horus!!!"

He charged toward Horus, gunfire incessant, hitting several people in succession, while his own body grew increasingly numb.

But Phil paid no attention to any of that; all he could see was Horus.

From a distance, Caesar could see that as Phil charged, his men were rapidly dwindling in number, the closer they got, the faster they died.

Phil finally got close to the group of people, but he felt a sense of weightlessness. His body floated up lightly and then crashed heavily to the ground.

Without him even looking up, Horus's feet came into view.

"Phil, you're a complete idiot." Horus pursed his thin lips, a mocking smile playing on his lips.

Phil opened his mouth as if to say something, but all that came out was blood and froth.

He was shot dozens of times, but the pain was so intense that his brain temporarily blocked it out.

He then realized what was happening, and a wave of pain washed over him, causing Phil's pupils to gradually lose their life force.

As soon as Phil died, his men quickly deserted.

Horus watched the fleeing enemies, then grabbed his gun and attacked, shouting, "Leave no one alive! Kill them all!"

Bullets whizzed past, and Phil's men fell one by one, their heads tilted back. Many horses lay on the ground as well.

They and their horses all died from multiple bullet wounds throughout their bodies.

Two lucky individuals managed to escape. Upon seeing Caesar and his men, who had not entered Horus Ranch, their eyes lit up, and they rushed towards them.

Caesar glanced at More, who understood and raised his gun, and his men also raised their guns and fired.

Moor's team had trained a lot during this period and their marksmanship had improved significantly. They only hit the two men and did not injure the horses.

Caesar immediately ordered the horses to be recalled.

The battle inside the ranch was over. Horus, without a smile, rode out with his men and looked coldly at Caesar.

Caesar placed his hand on his waist, puzzled.

Horus probably hasn't lost too many men and wants to fight me now, right?

Does he have that ability?

Caesar glanced at the crowd behind Horus. There were about twenty people, and they looked quite strong, but they were still far inferior to his own men.

Horus pondered for a moment, then dismounted, extended his palm, and revealed a warm smile: "It's been a few days, and your men seem to have grown considerably stronger."

"How about we go in and have a drink to celebrate this hard-won victory?"

Horus's smile was faint, but the shadow in his eyes was like a venomous snake as he swept over Caesar's men.

When Horus said "hard-won," he deliberately emphasized the words, as if to remind Caesar that Caesar had not contributed much to the war.

Caesar did not extend his hand, but said calmly, "Our cooperation is not over yet."

"You should settle the costs of this war first!"

Indeed, Horus was the one who first requested the cooperation between him and Caesar to eliminate Phil; when you ask for help, you should have the right attitude.

The fee was what Caesar and Horus had agreed upon beforehand.

Horus's lips twitched. "But none of you contributed anything?"

"Didn't you contribute?" Caesar waved his hand. "If I didn't contribute, why are you standing here?"

Caesar looked down at Horus, who was shorter than him. "I didn't fight you, but that's enough, isn't it?"

Horus could no longer maintain his smile; his teeth clenched and his fingers clenched tightly.

In the end, Horus nodded and handed over some livestock to Caesar and his men.

After Caesar left, Horus flew into a rage on the ranch.

He smashed everything in the conference room, and his roar could be heard even at the edge of the ranch.

After Horus calmed down, he sent a cowboy with the supplies to quickly leave the ranch.

A dark shadow flashed past in the woods not far away.

……

After Caesar returned to the ranch, Amy made a detailed record of all the livestock he brought with him.

The ranch workers were all thrilled; they had just gone out once and brought back so many cattle and sheep.

And he hasn't even really done anything yet, let alone gotten injured, he hasn't even met the daily activity level requirement.

The ranch residents were all grateful to have come to Caesar Ranch.

The cowboys who had just joined the ranch were also very excited, which meant that the boss was powerful and generous, so life must not be difficult.

Caesar had barely rested when he received news of Daryl's arrival.

Stone house, study.

Daryl rushed in, looked at Caesar, and said solemnly, "Horus has made his move."

"That's normal." Caesar took a sip of tea and said calmly, "If he still doesn't act after I provoked him like this today, he wouldn't be able to be such a big rancher; his land would have been seized by others long ago."

"I'm getting impatient too."

"I will finish them off in one battle, kill Horus and Leon, and annex their lands and people."

Daryl thought for a moment and asked, "If we kill their people, how could they possibly join us instead of hating us?"

"Why do you think I'd engage in this back-and-forth charade with those two factions? It's all to conceal my true intentions," Caesar said with a smile.

"We didn't kill any of Old Man Leon's men; Horus did it all. Many of Horus's men died today too, but as everyone can see, we didn't lift a finger."

"They can only blame each other; what does that have to do with us?"

"We're just nice guys, we get along well with both sides. Of course, that's how their ordinary residents see it, and that's all we need."

After explaining to Daryl, Caesar gave him the following command:

"Next, old man Leon and Horus will definitely have to discuss something. Exchanging letters alone is not enough; they need to meet in person to discuss how to deal with us."

"Today, we exposed a lot of our equipment to Horus. He must be extremely wary of us and won't attack us alone. He can only ask old man Leon to share the risk."

"They're going to war with us, Daryl. What do you suggest we do?"

Caesar then turned the question to Daryl.

Without hesitation, Daryl blurted out, "Then let's fight and wipe them all out."

"Yes, wipe them all out. However, I want to find a way to minimize losses and maximize profits."
