Chapter 84
Carol
Amy turned around and walked quickly into the kitchen. "Oh, never mind, I'm going to cook for you."
After saying that, she took small, quick steps, her little bottom wiggling as she walked away.
Caesar watched her retreating figure and couldn't help but laugh. Hearing the laughter, Amy quickened her pace.
Amy put the prepared ingredients into the pot and stir-fried them, making two dishes and a soup within an hour.
Place the steaming hot dishes on the table and serve the rice.
Amy handed the chopsticks to Caesar, bent down, and kissed the corner of his mouth, saying softly, "Be a good boy and wait for me to come home!"
After saying that, he took off his apron and quickly left the stone house.
As she closed the wooden door, Amy waved with a sweet smile, silently saying, "I love you."
I casually made a heart shape with my hands and disappeared into the night.
Caesar responded with love, feeling a warm glow in his heart as he looked at the steaming dinner in front of him.
These are all Chinese dishes that Caesar loves to eat, and it's clear that Amy had someone specially teach her how to make them.
Moreover, Amy knew Caesar was coming back, so she came back specifically to cook dinner for him, and then left.
Caesar had a great appetite and quickly ate all the food.
Under the cover of night, Caesar Ranch became much brighter, with lights spreading across the ranch. They all had no houses to live in and could only stay in tents.
But in just a few days, with hundreds of people working together, they will all have new houses to live in.
Late at night, when Amy returned home, the lights in the house were already off, leaving only the flames burning quietly in the fireplace.
The flames radiated warmth. Amy took off her clothes, quickly took a shower, and climbed into bed.
Amy gasped as she touched Caesar's body, only to be pulled into his arms.
With Caesar's scent filling her nostrils, Amy's fair face flushed slightly, and she said sweetly, "I thought you were asleep."
"She was asleep." Caesar brushed away Amy's disheveled hair to get a clear look at her face. "You woke her up."
"So..." Caesar's hand began to wander, "you're going to receive a little punishment."
Amy trembled slightly. Caesar's large hands felt like a hand warmer, making the skin of each spot feel hot as he touched it.
Gradually, Amy blushed all over, even her ears turned completely red.
Even though it wasn't the first time, Amy was still so shy, and Caesar couldn't get enough of seeing Amy's shy face.
Amy gritted her teeth and deliberately glanced down at me: "Watch out or I'll bite you to death."
Upon hearing this, Caesar tilted his head, the smile on his lips deepening. "Oh, really?"
It was like a provocation, yet also like an invitation.
The teasing tone made Amy instantly understand Caesar's meaning, her face flushing red as she patted his chest: "You're so naughty~ Mmm~"
"Hmm~"
Amy's mouth was gagged, and Caesar turned over, letting Amy lie on the bed.
The blanket was pulled up, the flames flickered, and the light illuminated the faint shadows of people wriggling up and down beneath it.
The moonlight is enchanting and always makes people linger.
the next day.
Caesar got up early and looked at Amy, who was fast asleep in bed. The sunlight slowly climbed onto the bed and was about to shine on Amy's face.
Quietly, I walked to the window and drew the thick curtains, darkening the room.
Caesar sat on the edge of the bed, looking down at the sleeping Amy.
Amy had long, trembling eyelashes, and her long, flowing hair was like golden hair plucked from the sun and crumpled, which made her skin look snow-white.
Compared to when she's awake, Amy looks quiet and serene when she's asleep.
Caesar watched for a while, then couldn't resist leaning down and kissing Amy's eyes.
Those blue eyes always held a deep love for Caesar.
After leaving the room, Caesar went to the kitchen and made himself a sandwich, leaving one for Amy as well, and kept it warm in the pot.
Caesar left the stone house after writing a small note.
Stepping out of the stone house, Caesar abandoned his gentle and peaceful demeanor at home, becoming cold and authoritative—a change brought about by his growing number of subordinates and expanding power.
Today, T-boy was guarding Caesar's door. When T-boy saw Caesar come out, he followed him in small steps and said, "Carol talked to you about building the wooden house today. She's a little worried that there aren't enough people and that the construction is too slow, which might cause dissatisfaction among the newcomers."
"Furthermore, Carol is unsure whether to provide meals for the newcomers, and Moore has suggested that they want to recruit more new people, as the territory is getting bigger and they are running out of manpower."
T-boy and Morales are Caesar's vice-captains, directly under Caesar's command. Reporting on the tasks to be done today should have been done by Amy, but Caesar went a bit crazy last night, causing Amy to be unable to get up.
The saliva then piled up on T-boy, who was guarding Caesar's door. He was broad-shouldered and dark-skinned, but spoke fluently with a rap-like flair.
Caesar strode toward the government hall, the place that had been built for his offices.
As they walked, Caesar said, "The house situation with Carol is the most urgent. Have the combat team stay put for now and help Carol build a new cabin."
The combat squad members were all strong young men, with their physical strength and stamina at the peak of their lives. With their help, the construction of the cabin could be sped up.
"As for meals, Carol can provide them, but only the most basic staple foods are needed. Do not provide vegetables, meat, or fruit."
Currently, Caesar Ranch mainly produces beef and mutton, with very limited production of vegetables and fruits. Even the ranch's senior management has limited daily quotas available for redemption, let alone providing them free of charge to new residents.
In addition, after Caesar returned to the ranch, the entire ranch stopped cooking communal meals and instead distributed contribution points based on each person's work. These contribution points could be exchanged for items in the ranch's market.
It's okay to give these new residents some preferential treatment, but not too much, otherwise it will cause other residents to resent it and make the new residents feel smug.
"Moll and Daryl's combat squads need to continue recruiting. There are quite a few new residents who can sign up for combat squads, and I need to form a new squad."
"These tasks can only be done after the new residents have settled in. Understand?"
After Caesar finished speaking, he turned around and glanced at T-boy. T-boy grinned, his whites and teeth shining brightly.
T-boy stared blankly at Caesar, scratched his head, and said as if explaining, "Boss, I'm a combatant."
Caesar smiled helplessly, "Alright, alright, it's okay if you can't remember them all."
Afterwards, Caesar arrived at the government hall and asked T to find Carol, Mor, Daryl, and others.
And he told them his plans one by one.
Carol walked out of the office, turned to Daryl, and said, "Daryl, from now on you'll be listening to me."
Daryl glanced at Carol and nodded: "I know..."
Before Daryl could finish speaking, Moore stepped between the two of them, raised an eyebrow, looked Carol up and down, and said in a greasy tone, "Carol, you've gotten quite a bit prettier lately."
