Chapter 17

The Black Squad

"No problem. I remember the company has hired security companies to provide military protection for company employees in war zones, but they usually only take on security jobs."

At this point, Happy hesitated for a moment, but finally said:

"When you went missing, I contacted the CIA. You know they have many informants in those areas. Although they didn't find you, they gave me a contact number—the contact number for a CIA black squad—and told me I could contact them if needed."

"Black Squad? What does that mean?" Tony asked curiously.

Happy explained, "Some CIA operations cannot be written in reports, nor can they be identified as their doing. Therefore, some people are needed to do these dirty work. Some of them have had problems and were discharged from the army, while others were discharged because they performed too well. In short, if any problems arise in their operations and they are caught, no one will admit it. They are a very useful tool."

"Why would you need their contact information?" Tony asked curiously.

Happy explained, "As I just said, the CIA won't interfere if their operations go wrong, so they don't usually have many missions, and their superiors don't care about them either. So they can do some private work for some big shots to build relationships and tie interests together, and you are one of those big shots."

"How are their fighting capabilities?" Tony asked.

"They should be pretty good, and they operate behind enemy lines, specializing in infiltration and sabotage, and winning with fewer troops. I think they'd be a better fit for your needs than people hired from security companies," Happy replied.

"Then contact them," Tony said casually, as he was also unfamiliar with the situation.

"Okay, sir, I expect to get back to you soon. These small teams don't have many missions. When the CIA gave me their contact information last time, they were resting and had no missions."

"Oh, by the way, does their team have a name? Or what's their contact person's name?"

Upon hearing Tony's question, Happy searched through his phone's records, quickly found the contact name, and replied, "They gave me information about their operations leader. His nickname is quite interesting: Killmonger."

"The name is interesting, but I wonder how strong they are."

After finalizing the contact with the Black Squad, Happy also took Tony to the villa.

Once inside the villa, Tony called for Jarvis.

"Jarvis, get me a call with reporter Christine."

"Okay, sir." Jarvis was as reliable as ever, and immediately texted the female reporter Tony. After she replied, Jarvis arranged for a car to take her directly to Marbury's villa.

Before Christine arrived, Jarvis's hired culinary team had already prepared a candlelight dinner. Since it was 11 p.m., it might be better to call it a candlelight supper. However, it's estimated that neither of them was really thinking about the food; one was thinking about the exclusive news, and the other was thinking about how delicious it looked.

As soon as she sat down, Christine eagerly took out her recorder and, sitting upright, asked, "What do you want to say about your experiences in the Middle East? Under what circumstances was that video circulating online recorded?"

"Don't rush, Christine. I told you I could give you the exclusive, but not now," Tony said slowly, cutting his steak with a knife and fork.

While using telekinesis, I still adhere to the law of conservation of energy, which has caused my appetite to grow better and better. Whenever I have the chance, I have to grab a bite or two. I hope that the treasure chests I open in the future won't be so scientific, and that they'll give me some abilities that aren't so scientific, like Hulk's underwear.

When Christine heard Tony's words, her thoughts wandered. Her shoulders twitched, and the straps of her dress slipped down, threatening to fall off completely. She then pretended to be surprised and covered her chest to prevent a wardrobe malfunction. Her meaning couldn't be clearer.

Tony feigned seriousness and said innocently, "That's not what I meant." He then stood up and walked to Christine's side to help pull up her clothes, inevitably involving some physical contact.

"The matter is complicated. There was involvement, or even orchestration, by someone inside the company regarding my kidnapping."

Christine, being a professional journalist, immediately understood: "It's either other shareholders or the military that want to change the spokesperson. No, it can't be the military. You haven't violated the military's interests, and you're even representing the interests of many people."

After thinking for a while, Christine tentatively asked, "It's Obadiah. Only he can take control of Stark Industries and wield absolute power after your death. No one else is qualified."

It seems we really can't underestimate the characters and plot; the limited movie length didn't give them a chance to showcase their talents.

"That's a very reasonable analysis; you can include it in your future reports," Tony said, without denying it.

Christine, however, was somewhat disheartened. She shook her head and said, "It's no use. If it were just a junior manager in your company betraying us, I could write something and that would be fine. But that's Obadiah. I doubt my article will ever be published. I might even be covered in cement and thrown into the sea tomorrow."

"So it's not now." Tony sat down next to Christine, putting his hand on her shoulder as if to comfort her.

Christine realized what Tony meant. Yes, compared to Obadiah, Tony was the real boss of Stark Industries. How could Tony not take revenge? Obadiah should be the one who should be drowned.

"What do you mean?" Christine looked at Tony, feigning confusion and ignorance.

Seeing Christine's adoring look, Tony's vanity was greatly satisfied. She was indeed different from those young models; this was the kind of food an old connoisseur would enjoy.

"You can prepare your article first, and once I kick Obadiah out of the game, your exclusive report can be released."

"Should I conduct an in-depth interview with you now to get exclusive information?" At this point, Christine stopped pretending and began to grope Tony's chest downwards. An in-depth interview might cost hundreds of millions in fees.

"It's getting late, we need to hurry." With that, Tony also entered battle mode.

"Hey, you seem even stronger. Were you working out every day while you were kidnapped for a month?"

"That's talent—the more setbacks you face, the stronger you become."

"Is that so? I'd like to see just how brave you really are."

"Oh no, I feel like I'm going to fly." With each impact, Christine could no longer open her eyes and her consciousness was fading.

In the end, Christine really did fly away, but she was probably so dizzy that she would forget this part of her memory the next day.

While Tony was working hard as an old farmer, Obadiah finally received a call from the Ten Rings Gang.

"Mr. Obadiah, there's a video you might need to watch. After watching it, you can contact us if needed."

After speaking, the other party hung up the phone, and then a message appeared in my private email.

Open your email, find the attached video, play the video, and Obadiah sees that bald-headed Zaf.

In the video, Zaff is reprimanding his men in the camp. Then, the soldiers begin to cough violently and collapse one by one.
