Chapter 24

This is not scientific

"Hey, my friend, is there anything I can help you with?" Although he suspected the other party was going to raise the price, Eric still greeted them with a smile. After all, he wasn't spending his own money, but he was building his network, even though he would have to pay for those connections next time.

"No, my friend, I'm here to help you. Didn't you want to wipe out the Ten Rings Gang?"

"Oh, you're going to help me? How many soldiers are you planning to send?"

Eric certainly didn't believe the other side would send troops. After all, the Ten Rings Gang had no land and mainly bullied small tribes or fought against American troops. They basically wouldn't dare to provoke a large tribe like the Kersons.

In this situation, without any benefit, they naturally wouldn't expend their own strength to eliminate the Ten Rings Gang.

Who would act as the world's policeman if there were no benefits to be gained?

"Of course not, we're not sending troops. We're all compatriots, how can we fight each other?"

Heh, why didn't you mention this when you were conquering other tribes? Oh, right, you didn't use weapons, you used rifles, right?

Unfortunately, Eric could only silently grumble to himself, but he still had to politely ask, "So how do you plan to help me?"

"A fellow countryman told me that the top leaders of the Ten Rings Gang were going to gather together. My fellow countryman didn't know the specifics of what they were going to do, but he happened to know the location."

Upon hearing this, Eric became interested. If these high-ranking members were wiped out, the Ten Rings Gang, or more precisely, the Ten Rings Gang in the Middle East, would be leaderless. These gang members, who had basic training and were capable of wielding weapons, would soon be absorbed by various tribes of the same faith.

And since these tribes, under the control of the Ksen tribe, would not harass Gmira, his mission in Gmira would be complete.

However, it seems I've been used as a weapon. Oh well, I'll finish the mission first and deal with being used as a weapon later.

"Tell me the time and place. Once it's done, I hope Kerson will keep our promise."

"No problem, by then those tribes won't have time to harass Gemila." Clearly, the other side also had a plan, seemingly intending to absorb the Ten Rings Gang's gunmen and then directly start a war, turning cheap soldiers into land.

Soon, the electronics expert received a message from the other party: time was a bit tight, but the distance wasn't far.

"Fly the attack helicopters back, replace them with armored vehicles, and advance silently. Don't let them escape." Eric added with a smile, "Take the missile controls with you; let's set off one last firework!"

"Haha!" The comrades laughed happily.

The following evening, Eric and his group hid in a mountain area, and Eric used binoculars to keep an eye on a group of houses in the distance.

"Has the satellite scan been done? There are no other people or vehicles nearby. Are they coming?"

The electronics expert, after checking the computer again, confidently stated, "Stark's satellites show no human activity within fifty kilometers. Those who should be there have already entered their homes."

"Wow, this really is a high-level gathering. Everyone the intelligence indicated is here. Is this a party? Are there enhancement agents in the boxes? But I haven't seen anyone wearing a headscarf. Are all the members of the Ten Rings Gang gay?" the driver complained.

"Keep a close watch, and once you're sure no one's coming, prepare to make your move."

Eric had just finished criticizing the driver for talking nonsense when the electronics expert suddenly reminded him:

"Three vehicles have arrived, and one of them belongs to the US military, with an air force base pass. What's going on?"

Eric frowned at the electronics expert's words. What was going on? He could understand the Ten Rings Gang's connection to the US military, though it was probably the CIA's doing. Supporting various opposition forces was standard CIA practice, but supporting terrorists? Eric couldn't quite figure it out.

"What do we do, boss? Should we blow it up or not?" The pilot held the missile's control panel, eager to try.

Eric thought for a while. The opportunity was rare, but if he actually bombed some high-ranking US military officer, he would become a terrorist. After much deliberation, he ordered, "Don't act yet."

"Driver, electronics expert, you stay here and wait for my orders. The rest of you, change into masks, prepare your equipment, and infiltrate. Do not reveal your identities. Decapitate them. If that vehicle really belongs to the US military, spare their lives."

As long as American soldiers aren't killed, there's still room for maneuver, and the other side won't investigate too seriously, since collusion with terrorists can't be exposed.

Perhaps after much deliberation, the other party will either find no clues and conclude that they believe our group is from some unknown force, or they will discover something and believe it is a CIA black operation.

But when it comes to the CIA, the problem is perfectly solved. The CIA will definitely not admit it, and the other party will not believe the CIA. That's reputation.

The CIA won't get involved, since they've had plenty of scapegoats, and even internally they might suspect a certain supervisor did it, thus perfectly resolving the issue.

After quickly organizing their equipment, Eric and his group quietly approached the residential area where the Ten Rings Gang was gathered.

"Report the sentry's location."

"There are ten sentries in total, and their locations are as follows." Eric's personal computer on his arm marked the sentry locations in red on the map.

"Clear out the sentries." With Eric's order, the squad spread out and silently eliminated all the sentries.

The team quickly regrouped, but Eric looked unwell.

"Boss, what's wrong?" someone immediately asked.

Eric tossed a Sentinel’s walkie-talkie to him and explained, “Something’s not right. Even though the Ten Rings Gang guys aren’t very good at military drills, they still give occasional reports on their walkie-talkies, or at least chat. But right now the walkie-talkie is too quiet. There’s not even any accidental static.”

"Boss, what do we do?" a team member asked.

"Never mind, prepare for the attack. Have you confirmed that all the targets have entered the room?" Eric couldn't figure it out, so he decided to stop thinking about it. At worst, he'd leave no one alive in a while.

"Confirmed. All targets have entered the room. The people who got out of the three cars have also gone in, but they don't seem to be all armed. Only a few are carrying guns, while the others are carrying melee weapons. Could it be some kind of cult gathering?"

When the electronics expert saw the melee weapons, he was a little confused. He racked his brains and could only recall seeing those madmen who had been brainwashed into believing they were invincible or were on drugs when they were eradicating cults. They wanted to compete with him in whether a gun or a knife was faster from a hundred paces away. He had seen them wielding melee weapons.

Eric couldn't figure out the reason either, but he agreed with the electronics expert's idea that maybe the US military vehicle was just an accident, and that it was bought by the Ten Rings Gang. After all, the US military sells everything, and the pass must have been bought at a premium.

"Ready, move out!" With Eric's command, everyone began to move.

The RPG blasted open the door, and everyone immediately threw in stun grenades and hand grenades as if they were free. At the same time, their rifles were also busy, and in a short while, there were several pounds of spent shell casings on the ground.

Feeling that it was about time, Eric raised his hand to stop the shooting and, along with his squad, hid in concealed positions to assess the situation.

Once the smoke cleared, everyone could see the situation inside the house.

A group of high-ranking members of the Ten Rings Gang were lying on the ground. This was normal, since no one wears bulletproof vests to meetings, and even bulletproof vests can't withstand so many bullets and grenades.

But why are there still so many people standing there? And what are those floating rings in the air? Why are the bullets floating in the air and being stopped by the rings?

This is fucking illogical!
